The Mutoh XpertJet XPJ-1642WR is a 64-inch (162 cm) wide water-based inkjet printer, succeeding the award-winning ValueJet 1638WX. It integrates new Mutoh core technologies to deliver consistent performance, high-quality output, and reliable volume production. Built on the XpertJet platform, it features two ultra-wide Mutoh AccuFine piezo variable drop print heads in a staggered configuration, enhanced by Mutoh's proprietary i-screen weaving technology for exceptional print quality at higher production speeds.

Designed as a workhorse for volume producers, the XPJ-1642WR offers enhanced usability with features like DropMaster2, Media Tracker, FeedMaster, and Nozzle Area Select. Its design facilitates easy media mounting with newly designed core flanges and supports continuous printing through various motorized take-up systems for roll weights up to 30, 40, or 100 kg.

AccuFine Ultra Wide Piezo Print Heads: These two new print heads ensure extremely precise ink drop placement, producing ink droplets from 3.8 to 24 pl for high print quality across all production speeds.

i-screen Weaving: Mutoh's fourth-generation Intelligent Interweaving technology, i-screen, delivers precise print quality at high production speeds by minimizing banding and other print defects.

Integrated Automatic Nozzle Check Unit: This unit automatically detects missing nozzles and performs cleaning to ensure continuous operation.

New Generation Dye Sublimation Inks: Mutoh's DS3 series inks offer increased color density and reliable jetting for excellent image definition and sharpness, supplied in 1 kg degassed ink packs.

Multi-level Pinch Rollers - Adaptable Pressure: A newly designed system with adjustable pressure on individual pinch rollers ensures worry-free feeding and optimal transport of a wide range of media, including thin, delicate, or slippery substrates.

Illuminated Print Platform: LED lights above the print platform allow operators to easily inspect and monitor print jobs in progress.

DropMaster2: This proprietary feature automatically adjusts the drop throw distance based on media thickness. The integrated color sensor enables automatic bidirectional alignment, saving time and increasing efficiency.

FeedMaster: Utilizes a built-in color sensor for automated paper feed adjustment, reducing waste and increasing efficiency.

Media Tracker: Prints a barcode on the media roll before removal. Upon reloading, a laser scans the barcode to indicate the remaining media, preventing mid-run interruptions.

Nozzle Area Select: Eliminates downtime by automatically selecting only active nozzle blocks if missing nozzles cannot be recovered.

4 Head Heights: Offers four print head height settings (Low1, Low2, Middle, High) to accommodate various sublimation papers.
