Failure to comply with this recommendation may lead to premature failure of the equipment's electronics.
Grounding Instructions
In case of malfunction or failure of the elliptical trainer, grounding provides the path of least resistance for electric current and helps reduce the risk of electric shock. The equipment comes with a power cord that includes an grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be connected to an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all applicable local codes and ordinances. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if you have doubts about proper grounding. Do not modify the plug provided with the equipment. If it does not fit the outlet, have a qualified electrician install a proper outlet.
WARNING: Only connect this equipment to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use the equipment if the cord or plug is damaged, even if the equipment is otherwise functioning normally. Never use equipment that appears damaged or has become wet. Repairs and replacement parts are available from your local dealer.
WARNING: The heart rate monitoring system may be inaccurate. Overtraining can lead to serious injury or death. If your performance decreases unusually, stop training immediately!
Assembly
WARNING: Pay close attention during some assembly steps. It is very important that you follow the assembly instructions precisely to ensure all parts are tightened securely. Failure to follow the assembly instructions may result in parts of the elliptical trainer not being tightened sufficiently, coming loose, and causing noise. To avoid damage to your elliptical trainer, re-read the assembly instructions and correct any errors that may have occurred during assembly.

2) INTERVALS / INTERVALS:
Improves your strength, speed, and endurance by alternating between light and strong resistance to train your heart and muscles. Time-based program with 16 intensity levels to choose from. The user defines the time and resistance using the arrow keys and presses ENTER.
INTERVALS / INTERVALS (Table provided for Andes 5 & 7i with detailed level and time settings)
3) GAME/GAME:
This warm-up program simulates a car race. By pedaling fast and slow, you can control the car up and down. Avoid obstacles and try to stay on the track. Your remaining attempts are displayed on the upper LCD with 10 points per attempt. Each time you hit an obstacle, one point is deducted. You only have 11 attempts to complete the track, so be careful!
4) FIT-TEST/FITNESS TEST:
Test your current physical fitness. Keep the pedaling speed (RPM) between 60 and 80 during the test. The program automatically changes the resistance during the test according to a stored table. Try to maintain your speed until you can no longer. The console then compares your result with the stored table and shows your current fitness level.
Protocol for Men / Protocol for Women (Tables provided for level, time, and intensity in watts)
5) WEIGHT LOSS / WEIGHT LOSS:
Ideal for reducing body weight, alternating between strong and weak resistance, but always in the fat-burning zone. Time-based program with 16 intensity levels to choose from. The user defines the time and resistance using the arrow keys and presses ENTER. Drink enough water during and after training to improve weight loss.
WEIGHT LOSS (Table provided for level and time settings)
6) WEIGHT LOSS PLUS / WEIGHT LOSS PLUS (ANDES 7i ONLY):
Ideal for reducing body weight, alternating between strong and weak resistance, but always in the fat-burning zone. This is a time-based program with 15 levels, offering more choices and greater intensity than the Weight Loss program. The user defines the time and intensity using the arrow keys and presses ENTER. Drink enough water during and after training to improve weight loss.
WEIGHT LOSS PLUS (Table provided for level and time settings)
7) ROLLING / ENDURANCE:
Maintains your weight through gradual changes between weak and strong resistance, proportional to gradual changes between low and high heart rates.
8) REVERSE TRAIN / REVERSE TRAINING:
A special training program for muscle building. This program gradually increases resistance and prompts you to pedal forward (F) or backward (R) to achieve your fitness goals. Random.
REVERSE TRAIN / REVERSE TRAINING (Table provided for time and level settings)
9) RANDOM / RANDOM (ANDES 5 ONLY):
Specially designed program based on a table that simulates random resistance changes.

- To start the program, press START ►II.
HEART RATE TRAINING / HEART RATE TRAINING
The first step in determining the correct intensity of your workout is to establish your maximum heart rate (max HR = 220 - your age). This age-based method provides an average statistical prediction of your maximum heart rate and is a good method for the majority of users, especially for those who are new to heart rate training. The most precise and accurate way to determine a person's maximum HR is through a medical test by a cardiologist or sports therapist who tests maximum exertion capacity. If you are over 40 and overweight, have had a primarily sedentary lifestyle for several years, or have a family history of cardiovascular disease, a medical test is recommended. This table provides examples for the heart rate range of a 30-year-old training in 5 different heart rate zones. For example, the maximum heart rate of a 30-year-old is: 220 - 30 = 190 beats per minute, and 90% of max HR is 190 x 0.9 = 171 beats per minute.
Example of Target Heart Rate Zone (Age: 30 years)
VERY HARD | 90-100% | < 5 MIN. | 171-190 BEATS PER MINUTE | Fit individuals and for competitive training |
---|---|---|---|---|
HARD | 80-90% | 2-10 MIN. | 152-171 BEATS PER MINUTE | Shorter workouts |
MODERATE | 70-80% | 10-40 MIN. | 133-152 BEATS PER MINUTE | Medium-length workouts |
LIGHT | 60-70% | 40-80 MIN. | 114-133 BEATS PER MINUTE | Longer and more frequent shorter workouts |
VERY LIGHT | 50-60% | 20-40 MIN. | 104-114 BEATS PER MINUTE | Weight control and active recovery |
Note: The heart rate program is based on your target heart rate. Resistance changes automatically depending on your pedaling speed.
13) % THR / % TARGET HEART RATE (ANDES 7i ONLY):
Beneficial for weight loss by maintaining the optimal training intensity for fat burning. Resistance is adjusted to keep you within your target heart rate zone. First, enter your personal data (your equipment will automatically calculate your maximum training heart rate), then select the percentage of your maximum heart rate at which you want to train. (It is recommended to wear a chest strap during this workout. You can purchase this chest strap separately from your dealer.)
14) STRENGTH BUILDER / STRENGTH BUILDER (ANDES 7i ONLY):
Gradual improvement of muscle strength with a preset program. Time-based program with 20 intensity levels to choose from. The user defines the time and resistance using the arrow keys and presses ENTER.
15) CUSTOM / CUSTOM:
User-adjustable workout, workout duration is 15 minutes.
- First, enter the program settings. The profile display guides you through all settings.
- Use the arrow keys to adjust resistance. Press ENTER to confirm values.
- The console shows your current number of completed segments and guides you through segments 1 to 15.
- After entering all settings, press START ►II.
- The program will reset if you press and hold ENTER for 5 seconds.
Using Your Media Player
- Plug your included AUDIO ADAPTER CABLE into the audio jack on the console and the headphone jack on your media player.
- Change playback settings directly on the media player.
- Unplug the audio adapter cable when not in use.
Synchronizing with Passport
- Use the arrow keys on the Passport remote control and scroll to the Setup icon. Then press Select.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Press and hold the Passport Quick Select button on the console for 3-5 seconds.
- If synchronization is successful, you will see the PASSPORT icon on the console display.
- The message on the screen will inform you whether the connection was successful or not.
ENERGY SAVER / ENERGY SAVER MODE
This equipment features an energy saver mode. When the energy saver mode is activated, the display automatically enters standby mode (energy saver mode) after 15 minutes of inactivity. This feature saves energy because a large portion of the power flow to the equipment is interrupted until a button on the console is pressed.
