Switching the Machine Off

After the program has ended and the End light turns on, switch your machine off using the On/Off button. Pull the plug out of the outlet and turn off the water tap.

Installing the Machine

Positioning the machine

When considering the location for the dishwasher, ensure that there is adequate space for loading and unloading dishes.

Water connection

Ensure indoor plumbing is suitable for a dishwasher and complies with AS/NZS 3500.1. It is recommended to fit a filter at the water supply entrance to prevent damage from contamination (sand, clay, rust) and avoid staining or deposit formation.

Water inlet hose

Use only the new water inlet hose supplied with the machine. Before connecting, ensure clean water is flowing from the tap. Connect the hose directly to the water inlet tap. The water pressure should be between 0.03 MPa (0.3 bar) and 1 MPa (10 bar). If pressure exceeds 1 MPa, install a pressure-relief valve.

⚠️ WARNING Only turn the locking nut to secure the hose; do not turn the hose itself.

⚠️ WARNING Aquastop inlet hose has 240V components. Do not cut, fold, twist, kink, or crush the Aquastop inlet hose.

⚠️ WARNING A water tempering valve is required if the water temperature is over 60°C.

? CAUTION Always use new hoses. Old hoses must not be used. Inspect the water inlet hose every twelve months for deterioration and replace if necessary.

An opening of at least 45mm x 90mm is needed to pass the safety valve through kitchen cabinets.

Water drain hose

The water drain hose can be connected directly to the water drain hole or to a sink outlet spigot. If using a hose hook, position it over the edge of the sink. This connection should be between a minimum of 50 cm and a maximum of 110 cm above the floor level.

If connecting to a trap spigot under the sink, remove the plastic membrane. Failure to do so can cause blockages. Ensure a hose clamp secures the hose to the spigot.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the water drain hose connected to a sink trap, with an arrow pointing to the "Remove entire internal membrane" instruction.

⚠️ WARNING Maximum drain hose length is 4m. Longer hoses can prevent correct draining and result in poor wash performance.

Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates correct and incorrect drain hose installations, showing height requirements (min 1100mm, min 500mm, min 40mm) and the floor level.

Electrical Connection

The machine's plug must be connected to an earthed outlet supplying suitable voltage and current. If no earthing is installed, have a competent electrician carry out an earthing installation. The manufacturer is not responsible for any issues arising from usage without earthing.

Fitting the machine undercounter

If fitting undercounter, check for sufficient space and suitable plumbing/wiring.

To ensure stability for underbench installation, if the underbench dimension is greater than 820mm, bridge any gap between the dishwasher and the benchtop underside with a packing piece (e.g., a piece of timber).

Diagram Description: A diagram shows a dishwasher being pushed under a countertop. It indicates dimensions (850-870mm height, 570mm depth, min 600mm width) and shows a timber piece for bridging gaps. It also shows adjusting machine feet with a screwdriver.

Preparing the Machine for Use

Prior to using the machine for the first time

Detergent usage

Use detergent specifically designed for domestic dishwashers (powder, gel, or tablet). Keep detergents in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Do not overfill the detergent compartment, as it may etch glasses or leave undissolved detergent. For more information, contact detergent manufacturers directly.

Filling the detergent compartment

Push the latch to open the detergent container. The pod has level lines to measure the correct amount. The pod can take a maximum of 40cm³ detergent. For heavily soiled dishes, use 25cm³; for less soiled, use 15cm³. Adjust amount based on soil degree and water hardness.

If dishes have dried food waste or the dishwasher is fully loaded, pour 5cm³ detergent onto the base of the door and start the machine.

Combined detergent

Combined detergents (e.g., "2 in 1", "3 in 1") often contain detergent and rinse aid, or additional functions. Generally, they produce acceptable results under specific conditions.

Points to consider when using combined detergents:

The solubility of tablet detergents varies. They are not recommended for short programs; powder detergents and rinse aid are more suitable.

⚠️ WARNING Should any problem occur with these types of detergents, contact the detergent manufacturers directly.

Filling with rinse aid and setting

When you stop using combined detergents, fill the rinse aid compartments and select a suitable rinse aid setting.

To fill the rinse aid compartment, open the cap.

Diagram Description: An image shows the rinse aid compartment cap being opened and tilted.

Fill the compartment with rinse aid until the MAX level and close the cap. Be careful not to overfill and wipe up any spills.

Diagram Description: An image shows the rinse aid compartment being filled with liquid.

To set rinse aid level:

  1. Turn on the machine.
  2. Press the Program button for at least 3 seconds immediately after turning it on.
  3. Release the button when "rA" is shown. The last setting level will be displayed.
  4. Set the level by pushing the program button.
  5. Switch off the machine to save the setting.

The factory setting is "4".

If dishes are not drying properly or are spotted, increase the rinse-aid level. If blue stains form, decrease the level.

? TIPS AND INFORMATION Only use rinse aid suitable for automatic dishwashers. Excess rinse aid can create foam and reduce washing performance. Wipe up spills.

Loading Your Dishwasher

For best results, follow these loading guidelines. Loading to capacity saves energy and water. Manual pre-rinsing is not recommended.

Upper Basket: Place cups, glasses, stemware, and small plates here. Do not lean long glasses against each other. Lean stem glasses against the basket edge or rack. Place all containers with the opening facing downwards.

Lower Basket: Place large and very dirty items like pots, pans, and lids here. Dishes and cutlery should not be placed above each other.

If a cutlery basket is present, use the cutlery grid for best results.

⚠️ WARNING: Take care not to obstruct the rotation of spray arms.

⚠️ WARNING: Ensure loading does not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening.

Recommendations

⚠️ WARNING: To avoid injury, place long-handle and sharp-pointed knives with points facing down or horizontally.

Height adjustment

The upper basket height can be adjusted up (1) or down (2) without removing it. Hold the basket on both sides and pull up or push down, ensuring both sides are at the same level.

Diagram Description: Two images show the upper basket being adjusted upwards and downwards.

Height Adjustable Rack (peg type)

Foldable racks in the upper basket allow placement of large items like pots and pans. Each section can be folded separately. Racks can be raised or folded down.

Upper Cutlery Basket

The upper cutlery basket is designed for large and small cutlery. It is easily removed for loading and unloading.

The basket is composed of two removable pieces. Remove one section to gain more space in the upper basket.

Diagram Description: Three images show the upper cutlery basket, its removable sections, and how it fits into the upper basket.

⚠️ WARNING: Knives and other sharp objects must be placed horizontally in the cutlery basket.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning your dishwasher is important to maintain the machine's service life.

Oil and limescale may build up over time. If this occurs:

Filters

Clean filters and spray arms at least once a week. Remove any food waste or foreign objects from coarse and fine filters and clean thoroughly with water.

a) Micro Filter b) Coarse Filter c) Metal Filter

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the filter assembly, with steps numbered 1-4 illustrating removal and reassembly. It indicates the micro filter (a), coarse filter (b), and metal filter (c).

To remove and clean the filter combination, turn counter-clockwise and lift (1). Pull the coarse filter out of the micro filter (2). Then pull and remove the metal filter (3). Rinse filters with water until free of residue. Reassemble filters, replace filter insert, and rotate clockwise (4).

Spray arms

Ensure spray holes are not clogged and free of food waste. If clogged, remove spray arms and clean under water. To remove the upper spray arm, undo the nut by turning clockwise and pulling downwards. Ensure the nut is properly tightened when refitting.

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the upper spray arm being removed by unscrewing a nut.

Drain Pump

Large food residues or foreign objects not captured by filters can block the waste water pump, causing rinsing water to be above the filter.

⚠️ Warning Risk of cuts! When cleaning the waste water pump, be careful of broken glass or pointed implements.

In this case:

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
  2. Take out baskets.
  3. Remove the filters.
  4. Scoop out water; use a sponge if required.
  5. Check the area and remove any foreign objects.
  6. Install filters.
  7. Re-insert baskets.
