The Powertech MB3635 Dual-Channel Battery Charger features:

  • LCD Display: Shows charging status, battery type, voltage, current, and time.
  • Slot/Mode Buttons: Used to navigate display information and select charging modes.
  • Charging Slot 1: Accommodates one battery.
  • Charging Slot 2: Accommodates a second battery.

Input ports located on the rear of the unit:

  • Micro-USB Input Port: 5V DC 2A
  • Car Power Input Port: 12V DC 1A

Charging Instructions

  1. Connect the unit to a 5V DC 2A USB adapter using the supplied Micro-USB cable, or connect to a 12V DC 1A adapter. The LCD display will light up once the unit is powered on.
  2. Insert a rechargeable Ni-MH / Ni-Cd / Li-ion / LiFePo4 battery into the charging slots. Ensure the polarity (+ / -) matches the signs in the charging slots. Incorrect polarity or insertion will result in charging failure, displaying an "Error" icon on the LCD and a rapidly flashing capacity gauge for the affected slot. (Refer to Reverse / Bad Cell / Short Circuit section for details).
  3. When charging begins, the “CHARGE” icon will be displayed. Charging information for the selected slot will be shown, indicated by a down arrow icon [▼]. Press the SLOT button to cycle through display information for the next charging slot. For Li-ion / LiFePo4 batteries, the charging current can be switched between 500mA and 1000mA by pressing the MODE button for faster charging. (Refer to SLOT / MODE section for details).
  4. When charging is complete, the "Finish" icon will be displayed, and "FUL" [full] will be shown on the LCD display.

Slot/Mode

When two batteries are charging simultaneously, press the SLOT button to switch the displayed information (Battery Type, Charging Status, Current, Voltage, Time) for the next charging slot.

The initial charging current is 500mA for all supported battery types. Press the MODE button to switch between 500mA and 1000mA charging currents (applicable for Li-ion & LiFePo4 batteries only).

To charge LiFePo4 batteries specifically, press both the SLOT and MODE buttons at the same time.

WARNING: If the charger loses power, the charge setting will reset. If the charger auto-detects a battery as Li-ion but it is actually a LiFePo4, it may charge to the incorrect voltage.

Reverse / Bad Cell / Short Circuit

Reversing battery polarity, incorrectly inserting a battery, inserting an alkaline battery, or a short circuit will result in charging failure. The "Error" icon will be shown on the LCD display, and the capacity gauge for the corresponding slot will flash rapidly. If this occurs, please reposition, replace, or remove the battery from the slot.
