Product Overview
HomeBase 2
The HomeBase 2 unit features: 1. Status LED indicator, 2. Speaker, 3. Power port for connecting the power adapter, 4. USB port, 5. Ethernet port for network connection, 6. SYNC/ALARM OFF button, and 7. Reset button.
eufyCam 2 Pro
The eufyCam 2 Pro camera unit includes: 1. Photosensitive sensor, 2. Camera lens, 3. Motion sensor, 4. Microphone, 5. LED indicator, 6. Sync button, 7. USB charging port, and 8. Screw hole for mounting.
Connecting the HomeBase 2
To connect the HomeBase 2 to the Internet:
- Power on the HomeBase 2.
- Use the provided Ethernet cable to connect the HomeBase 2 to your home router.
- The LED indicator on the HomeBase 2 will turn blue (this may take up to 1 minute) when it is ready for setup.
Setting Up the System
Download the eufy Security app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices). Sign up for a eufy Security account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Setup Notes:
- Place the camera near the HomeBase 2, ideally within a distance of 1 to 3 feet, during the initial setup process.
- Ensure both the HomeBase 2 and the eufyCam 2 Pro are set up in the app before mounting the cameras.
- Keep the camera at least 1 foot away from your internal or external hard drives to prevent potential interference.
Mounting the Camera
Find a Good Mounting Spot
To test the wireless signal strength at your desired mounting location, take your camera and phone there. You can check the signal strength via the eufy Security app's 'Mounting Guide' feature (accessible via Camera Settings > Mounting Guide). If the wireless signal strength is poor, move the camera closer to the HomeBase 2.
Select Height and Location
Mount the eufyCam 2 Pro 7-10 feet (2-3 meters) above the ground. This height optimizes the detection range of the motion sensor, which can cover up to 30 feet (10 meters). Avoid placing the eufyCam 2 Pro directly under sunlight.
Mount the Camera Outdoors
The camera can be mounted both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor mounting:
- Turn the knob of the mounting bracket clockwise to loosen and disassemble it.
- Drill holes using a 15/64 inch (5.95mm) drill bit. Insert anchors into the holes, which are necessary for walls made of hard materials like concrete, brick, or stucco.
- Firmly screw the base of the mounting bracket onto the wall. Fasten the ball knob of the bracket to the base.
- Attach the eufyCam 2 Pro to the mounting bracket and adjust the viewing angle by checking the live stream feed in the eufy Security app.
Tips: The HomeBase 2 can pair with up to 16 cameras. Repeat the mounting steps to add more eufyCam 2 Pro cameras as needed. For troubleshooting, refer to the 'Help' section in the eufy Security App and check the App page for LED indicator status.
Mount the Camera Indoors
The camera can be stuck directly to any flat surface made out of iron. Alternatively, use the included indoor mount:
- Drill a hole. Use the included anchor if mounting on drywall and fasten the hook.
- Hang the indoor mount on the hook.
- Attach the eufyCam 2 Pro to the indoor mount and adjust the viewing angle.
Charging eufyCam 2 Pro
Charge the eufyCam 2 Pro using one of the following methods:
- Method 1: Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the camera's USB charging port.
- Method 2: Use a 5V/2A USB charger connected to the camera's USB charging port.
LED Indication: Charging status is indicated by a steady blue light. The LED is off when the camera is fully charged. The estimated charging time is 12 hours.

Operating Temperatures
Suitable temperature for HomeBase 2 and accessories: -10°C to 45°C. Suitable temperature for eufyCam 2 Pro and accessories: -20°C to 50°C. Charging is recommended in an environment with normal room temperature and good ventilation, ideally between 5°C and 25°C.
Charger Information
Use only the manufacturer-provided charger (Type ASSA67W-120200, output 12Vdc/2A). The plug serves as the disconnect device. This charger is for indoor use only.
RF Exposure Information
Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) level is calculated based on a distance of 20 cm from the human body. Maintain this distance to ensure compliance.
