The Pocket Powerbox Micro (in short PPB Micro) is suitable for the "grab and go" astrophotographer. The device can provide up to 10Amps of power, has a sufficient number of 12V Outputs, Two Dew Heater Channels, an adjustable voltage power output and an environmental sensor to monitor humidity / temperature (dew point).
Operating Instructions:
- Plug the external environmental sensor into the EXT port.
- Plug the USB2 cable to the device and to your computer.
- Plug the power supply (battery or power pack) into the "12V DC IN" socket. Pegasus Astro strongly advises to use their certified power supply that can provide DC 12V and 10 Amps.
- The device will boot after three seconds and the LED will turn solid red. This means that firmware was loaded successfully and the controller is now fully operational.
- Default settings allow DC pass through voltage to all four outputs. Dew Heater outputs are configured to auto-dew by default. The adjustable port is set to 8V for your DSLR camera.
- Download USB drivers, standalone software or ASCOM drivers from pegasusastro.com/support in order to connect to the device.
Important Notes:
- Variable Port set to 8V by default. Please adjust voltage to the desired level from the software.
- Auto Dew functionality is turned on by default.
WARNING: DO NOT use the 12V port to power other USB hubs, unless the hub can accept 12V input. Most powered USB hubs are 5V and 12V can damage the hub, and any cameras or accessories attached to the hub. Always read hub instructions before connecting.
