Thermostat Operation
The thermostat features an LCD screen, a fan switch, a system switch, temperature set-point buttons, and user buttons.
1 LCD Screen: Displays current time, day, room temperature, set temperature, and system status indicators.
2 Fan Switch: Select ON for continuous fan operation or AUTO for fan operation only when the heating or cooling system is running.
3 System Switch: Select HEAT for heating mode, COOL for air conditioning mode, or OFF to turn both off.
4 Temperature Set-Point Buttons: Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the desired temperature.
5 User Buttons: Used for setting up programming options.
Caution: DO NOT SWITCH SYSTEM TO COOL IF THE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 50°F (10°C). THIS CAN DAMAGE THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
Thermostat Quick Reference
The LCD screen displays days of the week and time. It also shows the user-selected set-point temperature and current room temperature.
Key Indicators:
- Hold: Displayed when the thermostat program is overridden.
- Low Battery Indicator: Replace batteries when this indicator is shown.
- System Operation Indicators: Icons for COOL (?), HEAT (❄️), or FAN (?) will display when the respective system is active. If these icons are flashing, there is a 5-minute delay for compressor protection.
Programmable Time Periods: This thermostat has 4 programmable time periods per day (WAKE, LEAVE, RETURN, SLEEP).
Temporary Adjustment: You can temporarily change the set-point temperature using the '+' or '-' buttons. The change remains until the next programmed event (WAKE, LEAVE, RETURN, or SLEEP).
Program Schedule Hold: Pressing '+' or '-' while in program mode will display 'HOLD' and 'RUN SCHED'. This overrides the program schedule with a fixed temperature. Press 'HOLD' again to exit this mode.
To Return to Programming: Press 'RUN SCHED' to resume the program schedule.
Filter Change Reminder: The thermostat can be configured to remind you to change the air filter. When 'FILTER' is displayed, change the filter and reset the reminder by holding the second button from the top left for 3 seconds.
Battery Door Information:
To open the battery door, press the lower portion of the thermostat. Install two AAA Alkaline batteries, ensuring positive (+) ends match the positive (+) terminals in the battery compartment.
Programming
Set Time of Day and Day of Week:
- Press the MENU button.
- Press SET TIME.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to select the current day of the week.
- Press NEXT STEP.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to select the current hour. Note the a.m./p.m. indicator.
- Press NEXT STEP.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to select the current minutes.
- Press DONE when completed.
Custom Programming:
The thermostat supports 7 Day or 5+1+1 day programming. In 7 Day mode, each day is programmed individually. In 5+1+1 mode, Monday-Friday are programmed together, and Saturday and Sunday are programmed individually. Each day has four time periods: WAKE, LEAVE, RETURN, SLEEP.
To customize your program schedule:
- Select HEAT or COOL (must be programmed separately).
- Press MENU (or RUN SCHED if MENU is not visible).
- Press SET SCHED. The display will show Monday-Friday (or Monday in 7 Day mode) with the WAKE icon.
- Use '+' or '-' to set the WAKE time for Monday-Friday (or Monday).
- Press NEXT STEP.
- Use '+' or '-' to set the WAKE temperature for Monday-Friday (or Monday).
- Press NEXT STEP.
- Repeat steps 4-7 for the LEAVE, RETURN, and SLEEP time periods for Monday-Friday (or Monday).
- Repeat steps 4-8 for Saturday and Sunday for the 5+1+1 schedule, or for each day individually for the 7-day schedule.

- RH: 24VAC Heating
- RC: 24VAC Cooling
- C: Common 24VAC (system power supply)
- W: HEAT
- Y: COOL
