Introduction
This user guide provides essential information for navigating and utilizing the Smart Life application. It covers the initial steps of downloading and registering for an account, managing user access through family and member settings, and integrating smart devices into your home network.
Getting Started
App Download
The Smart Life application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Users are encouraged to search for "Smart Life" and install the application to begin.
Registration and Login
New users can register an account using either an email address or a mobile number. Upon entering details, a verification code will be sent. Users will then set a password to complete the registration process. Existing users can log in with their credentials. Password retrieval is available through a dedicated procedure.
Family and Member Management
The application allows users to create and manage 'families' to group smart devices and control them collectively. Users can set up a family name and location, which can be beneficial for smart heating products that utilize weather data. Members can be added to a family, granting them access to control devices. Invitations are sent and must be accepted by the new member. Permissions can be set, distinguishing between administrators and regular members.
Device Integration
Adding Devices
To add smart devices, users should refer to the specific user manual provided with each device. Once a device is successfully added and configured within the Smart Life app, it will appear on the home page, where its functions can be controlled.
Application Features (Menus)
- Home: Displays all added devices and rooms, allowing for individual control.
- Smart: Enables the creation of scenarios for devices, such as 'All Off' or 'All On', time laps, and mode settings.
- Me: Provides access to Family Management, Message Centre (for updates and invites), FAQ & Feedback, and More Services (integrations with platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant).
- Settings: Allows configuration of sound, push notifications (including alarms and do-not-disturb schedules), and family notification preferences.
