Assembly Instructions

For Tilt-Head Mixers:

Before First Use: Remove the "Do not immerse in water" label before using the attachment. The freezer bowl, dasher, and drive assembly must be washed by hand.

  1. Turn the mixer/stand mixer off [Power Off] and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. IMPORTANT: Before first use, set your freezer to the coldest setting and place the freezer bowl in the freezer for at least 16 hours. Do not pour ice cream batter into the freezer bowl until all parts are assembled and the mixer/stand mixer is switched on.
  3. Tilt the mixer head back and remove the mixing bowl.
  4. Place the dasher into the freezer bowl.
  5. Place the freezer bowl onto the adapter plate. NOTE: Use the freezer bowl immediately after removing it from the freezer, as it will begin to thaw.

Attaching the Drive Assembly for Tilt-Head Mixers:

  1. Ensure the mixer/stand mixer is turned off [Power Off] and unplugged. Keep the mixer head tilted back and place the dasher and freezer bowl.
  2. Place the drive assembly onto the mixer/stand mixer, aligning the recess with the mixer/stand mixer shaft.
  3. Lower the mixer head so the drive assembly contacts the dasher. If the drive assembly does not contact the dasher, slide the drive assembly forward or backward until it makes proper contact with the dasher.
  4. Ensure the mixer head is fully lowered.
  5. Secure the locking lever in position A. Before mixing, check the lock by trying to lift the mixer head.

For Bowl-Lift Mixers:

Before First Use: Remove the "Do not immerse in water" label before using the attachment. The freezer bowl, dasher, and drive assembly must be washed by hand.

  1. Turn the mixer/stand mixer off [Power Off] and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Set the bowl lift lever to the lowest position and remove the mixing bowl.
  3. IMPORTANT: Do not pour ice cream batter into the freezer bowl before the mixer/stand mixer is started, as the batter may freeze prematurely and block the dasher.

  5. Place the freezer bowl over the securing pins. Push on the back of the freezer bowl until the pin clicks into the spring lock. NOTE: The freezer bowl is suitable for most bowl-lift mixers. WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock

Plug the appliance into a grounded outlet.

Using the Product

Making Ice Cream

IMPORTANT: If you pour batter into the freezer bowl before starting the mixer/stand mixer, the batter may freeze prematurely and block the dasher.

Before First Use: Set your freezer to the coldest setting. Place the freezer bowl in the freezer for at least 16 hours. Prepare the ice cream batter in advance. Refer to 'Tips for Great Results' in the online product manual.

  1. Turn the mixer/stand mixer to speed 1 (stir/mix) and pour the ice cream batter into the freezer bowl.
  2. Mix for 20 to 30 minutes or until the desired texture is reached. After 12-15 minutes of mixing, you may add solid ingredients such as fruit, nuts, candies, or chocolate chips.
  3. Remove the dasher and the freezer bowl. Use a rubber spatula or a plastic or wooden spoon to scoop the ice cream into dessert bowls or store it in an airtight container.

NOTE: If the dasher begins to slide and makes a clicking sound, this indicates the ice cream is ready.

NOTE: The ice cream maker produces soft-serve ice cream. For a firmer texture, freeze the ice cream for 2-4 hours in a shallow, airtight container in the freezer.

IMPORTANT: Do not store ice cream in the freezer bowl in the freezer. If you scrape hard ice cream from the freezer bowl with a metal spoon or utensil, you may damage the freezer bowl.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Cleaning the Ice Cream Maker

IMPORTANT: Allow the appliance to cool completely before attaching or removing parts and before cleaning.

IMPORTANT: Allow the freezer bowl to reach room temperature before cleaning.

  1. The dasher and drive assembly are dishwasher safe (top rack only).
  2. Wash the freezer bowl by hand in warm water with a mild detergent. Never put it in the dishwasher. Dry the freezer bowl thoroughly before placing it in the freezer.
