- ??? Low Battery
CLIQ C-Key Indicators:
- ? No Jobs for Lock
- ?? Task in Progress
- ??? Lock Programemd OK

How it Works
- Programming: Access rights are programmed into the CLIQ key using a programming device or via Bluetooth for Connect keys.
- Key Insertion: When the CLIQ key is inserted into a compatible cylinder, it powers the cylinder's electronics and transmits the user's access permissions.
- Access Granted: If the key possesses the correct permissions, the cylinder will unlock, granting access.
- Audit Trail: Access events are logged in the key's memory and the cylinder's memory, and can be retrieved from the system's audit trail.
General Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the data contact is clean for optimal performance. Wipe the key with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or debris. Avoid excessive force or harsh cleaning agents.
- Force: Do not use excessive force when operating the key or attempting to open doors, as this may damage the key or cylinder.
- Battery Replacement: CLIQ keys have a long battery life but will eventually require replacement. Refer to the Battery Replacement section for details.
-
Other Considerations:
- Lubrication: Avoid using incorrect lubricants in the cylinder, as this can affect the electronics.
- Temperature: Protect the key from extreme temperatures.
- Programming: If your CLIQ system uses programming keys, ensure they are properly managed and updated.
- Revalidation: Some CLIQ systems may require regular revalidation of the key's access rights, which can be performed via Bluetooth using the CLIQ Connect app or at a programming station.
Troubleshooting for CLIQ V3 Keys
-
Authorized key does not turn:
- Ensure the key is not turned (binding) before the authorized signal ('beep' and green light).
- Verify mechanical authorization or check for possible obstructions.
- Test with another authorized key to determine if the issue is with the key or the lock.
-
Inconsistent or no signal indications:
- Inspect key and lock data contacts for dirt or grime buildup.
- Verify the key's battery status.
- Inspect the key and lock for damage or excessive wear.
-
Data transmission does not work:
- Note: Android™ mobile devices may not support simultaneous use of Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi.
- Use a mobile device with an internet connection (e.g., LTE or GSM) to access the internet if necessary.
-
Key is not shown for Bluetooth connection with the CLIQ Connect app:
- The key may already be connected to a different device nearby.
- Disconnect the Bluetooth connection to the other device.
-
Bluetooth activation does not work:
- Ensure the time window of 2-5 seconds is adhered to, or that the key is positioned straight during activation.
- Repeat the activation process.
- Check if Bluetooth is already active on the device.
- Check the mobile device for stats; display may be delayed.

Additional Details:
- Multiple Bluetooth keys can be connected to a mobile device using CLIQ Connect.
- To deregister a Bluetooth key, follow the instructions within the CLIQ Connect app.
- A Bluetooth connection automatically switches off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Battery Replacement
- Remove the battery cover using a T6 Torx screwdriver. Be careful not to lose the screw.
- Ensure correct battery polarity before inserting a new CR2450 battery.
- To replace the battery cover, slide it under the hook on the front of the battery holder. Reinsert and tighten the screw using the T6 Torx screwdriver, but do not overtighten.
NOTE:
- Lost Authorization: If the battery is changed incorrectly or the key remains unprogrammed for an extended period after a battery change, its authorization may be lost and require an update.
