IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION:

• Do not operate this kettle if it has been damaged.
• Do not use this kettle on slippery, uneven or unstable surface.
• Do not place any part of this kettle (the whole machine, power cord, plug, packaging, etc) near high-temperature heat sources such as fireplaces, heaters, and stoves.
• Do not immerse the cord or plug in water or other liquid to avoid fire, electric shock, and injury to the household.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to people.
• Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Always connect the plug to appliance first then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off" then remove the plug from wall outlet.
• Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the kettle.
• Do not fill the kettle above the "MAX" line.
• CAUTION: To avoid scalding, always handle with care when there is hot water inside the kettle.

POWER CORD & PLUG

• Do not let the cord (or any extension cord) hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.
• Always plug in to a grounded electrical outlet.
• Do not modify the plug in any way.
• This kettle uses a short power-supply cord to reduce the risk of entangling or tripping. Use extension cords with care.
• The marked electrical rating of an extension cord should be at least as high as the rating of the kettle.
• NOTE: If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your kettle may not operate properly. Operate it on a separate electrical circuit.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK & LEAKAGE

• Do not insert any foreign objects in the air outlet when kettle is powered on as this may damage the kettle itself and may cause electric shock or fire.
• If any part of the kettle is damaged in operation, contact customer service or professionals for repair or replacement. Do not risk repairing or replacing by yourself.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the kettle in water or rain.

Power Button / WiFi Button

• Short press the [Power Button] to turn on or turn off the kettle. To cancel during operation, you can also short press the [Power Button].
• When the kettle is plugged in, press the [Power Button], the kettle will enter standby mode and the [Mode Button] will light up. Short press the power button again, the kettle will be turned off, only the [Power Button] indicator is on, and all other indicators are off.
• Press and hold the [Power Button] for 5 seconds to turn on and off WiFi®. (Please complete the network connection within 2 minutes after turning on WiFi®).

WiFi Indicator

• WiFi® pairing: the [WiFi Indicator] flashes quickly.
• WiFi® successfully connected: the [WiFi Indicator] will light solid.

Note: If you want to reconnect to the kettle with a new device, you can press and hold the [Power Button] and [Temperature Adjustment Button (Down)] at the same time for 3 seconds, the [WiFi Indicator] will flash, and the machine will enter the APP to be configured mode.

Mode Button

Short press the [Mode Button] to select the function mode in sequence: custom mode, green tea mode, oolong tea mode, coffee mode and boiling mode. It will start automatically three seconds after selecting the mode.

• GREEN Mode: 180°F
  "GREEN" Indicator will light up. Sets the kettle to 180°F/ 82°C, the ideal temperature for green tea.
• OOLONG Mode: 195°F
  "OOLONG" Indicator will light up. Sets the kettle to 195°F/91°C, the ideal temperature for oolong tea.
• COFFEE Mode: 205°F
  "COFFEE" Indicator will light up. Sets the kettle to 205°F/96°C, the ideal temperature for Coffee.
• BOILING Mode: 212°F
  "BOILING" Indicator will light up. Sets the kettle to 212°F/ 100°C, the ideal temperature for black tea or others.
• CUSTOM MODE: 104°F-212°F
  Under custom mode, the "GREEN" "OOLONG" "COFFEE" "BOILING" indicator will be off. You can adjust the temperature with [+] and [-] buttons.

NOTE:

• The temperature difference measured by water temperature, display screen and thermometer is ±37.4°F (3°C).
• The default temperature unit is Fahrenheit. You can only switch the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit through the CROWNFUL mobile app.

Keep Warm Indicator

After the kettle starts heating water, the [Keep Warm Indicator] ? will automatically light up. The kettle will keep warm at the target temperature for 1 hour by default once completed the water heating program. You can short press the [Mode Button] ? to cancel the Keep warm mode, and the keep warm indicator turns off. If you want to reopen the keep warm function during heating water, please long press the [Mode Button] ? for 3 seconds to enter the Keep warm mode, and then Keep warm indicator lights up.

+ Temperature Adjustment Button (Up)

Short press the [+] button to increase in units of 5°F, long press to increase in units of 10°F.

Note: In standby mode, [+] is hidden. When you short press the [Mode Button] ?, [+] will appear.

- Temperature Adjustment Button (Down)

Short press the [-] button to decrease in units of 5°F, and long press to decrease in units of 10°F.

Note: In standby mode, [-] is hidden. When you short press the [Mode Button] ?, [-] will appear.

REMARK:

• Plug in the power supply, the buzzer "beeps" once (0.5 seconds).
• The [Power Button] ⏻ and the [Mode Button] ? are always on the display. During the boiling process, when you pick up the kettle, it will pause the heating. If there is no operation within 5 seconds, it will enter the standby state.

5) SPECIFICATIONS

BEFORE FIRST USE

WATER TEST

Perform the Water Test before using your kettle to make sure it's working properly. Do not drink the water that is boiled during this test.

1. Remove all packaging from your kettle and its accessories.
2. Completely unravel the power cable and place the power base on a flat, level, stable surface.
3. Fill the kettle with water to the "MAX" line (0.8L), then put the lid on the kettle. Press firmly to make sure the lid fits securely.
4. Press [Mode Button] ? and choose 212°F (“BOILING”).
5. After reaching the target temperature, the kettle will automatically turn on the keep warm function. If you do not need to keep it warm, you can press the [MODE button] ? briefly, or cancel the keep warm function on the Crownful app.

CROWNFUL APP SETUP

A: DOWNLOAD THE FREE MOBILE APP

To download the CROWNFUL App, please search for "CROWNFUL" in Apple App Store® (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

B: CREATE/LOGIN YOUR OWN CROWNFUL ACCOUNT

Open the CROWNFUL app. If you already have an account tap login.

NOTE: You must create your own Crownful account to use third-party services and products. These will not work with a guest account. With a Crownful account, you can also allow your family and friends to control your Smart Electric Gooseneck Kettle.

C: PAIRING WITH CROWNFUL APP

1. Turn on Bluetooth® ? and WiFi® ? on your phone.
2. Press and hold the [Power Button] ⏻ for 5 seconds to turn on Wi-Fi®, and the [WiFi Indicator] ? blinks quickly.
3. NOTE: If you want to turn off the Wi-Fi®, press and hold the [Power Button] ⏻ again for 5 seconds and the [WiFi Indicator] ? will be off.
4. Tap [+] in the CROWNFUL App and select your smart electric kettle from the product list during the first setup.
5. Once paired successfully, it will remain in "Searching for Devices". You can tap it directly the next time you use it.
6. Touch the device icon and follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing process.
7. Choose the product to start the WiFi® network configuration of the device, then select WiFi® and enter the password to connect.

NOTE:

• Make sure your router is turned on and connectable.
• The Wi-Fi® password is entered correctly.
• Make sure your Wi-Fi® signal can cover the device.
• Only use 2.4G network connection.

ATTENTION! If you're having trouble setting it up or pairing it, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Cannot connect to Crownful App

• Make sure the Bluetooth of your smartphone is enabled and your smartphone is not connected with other Bluetooth devices.
• Enable the smartphone's Location Services.
• Try connecting with another smartphone.
• Make sure your app is the latest version.
• Make sure the wifi password you entered is correct.
• Make sure you connect to your wifi router's 2.4GHz network and the network is working correctly.
• Shorten the distance between the kettle, wifi router, and the smartphone.
• Make sure your kettle and the wifi router are located away from appliances that produce electromagnetic radiation (e.g. microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc.).
• If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and then connecting the kettle.
• Disable portal authentication for your wifi network. If portal authentication is enabled, this kettle will not be able to access your wifi network and setup will fail. Portal authentication means that you need to sign in to your wifi network through a web page before you can use the internet.

2. Cannot find the device on Bluetooth Device Nearby page of the app.

• The kettle may be connected with another smartphone. Disconnect it from the other smartphone first.

3. The kettle is offline.

• Make sure the kettle is plugged in and powered on, then refresh 'my Device' in Crownful App by swiping down on the screen.
• Make sure your router is connected to the internet and your phone's network connection is working.
• If the wifi password has been changed, the kettle will automatically go offline. Try connecting it to the network again.
• Delete the offline kettle from Crownful App, then add and reconfigure the kettle again in the app.
• The [WiFi Indicator] ? is solid but the connection with App still fails.
• Press the [Power Button] ⏻ and the [Temperature Adjustment Button (Down)] - at the same time for 5 seconds, the [WiFi Indicator] ? blinks quickly with a beep. Then you can reconnect with App again.

Table Troubleshooting

OPERATION

1. Add at least 1½ US cup / 118 mL of filtered water to the kettle. Do not fill above the "MAX" line (0.8L). Wipe any water from the outside of the kettle and the base.

2. Put the lid on the kettle and make sure it fits securely. Place the kettle on the power base.

3. Plug in the cord. The [Power indicator] ⏻ and [Mode Button] ? will light up with a beep.

4. Press the [Mode Button] ? to choose the target temperature. Or you can press [+] or [-] button to adjust the target temperature. 3 seconds after completing the target temperature setting, the kettle will start heating up the water. The [Keep warm indicator] ? will also light up.

NOTE:

• If you do not want to keep warm after boiling, short press the [Mode Button] ? to turn off the keep warm function. During boiling, you can long press the [Mode Button] ? to turn on the keep warm function.
• When the current water temperature has reached or exceeds your target temperature and you want to cancel the keep warm, simply press the [mode button] ? and the kettle will turn into standby mode.
• You can only change the keep warm temperature and time to keep it warm through the APP.
• When the water reaches the target temperature, the kettle will beep 3 times and automatically keep warm for 1 hour.

MAKING POUR-OVER COFFEE

1. Place the coffee maker filter into the decanter.
2. Add ground coffee to the filter according to your preference.
3. Heat water using the smart kettle.
4. Use the kettle to gently pour water over the coffee grounds using a slow spiral motion. Pour just enough water to saturate the ground.

NOTE:

• This spiral motion is to create "turbulence" in the coffee grounds, allowing the particles in the coffee to separate and release flavor.
• The water will cause the grounds to puff up, which is called "blooming". Some roasts will bloom more than others.

5. Wait 30-45 seconds.

6. Use the kettle to pour water over the coffee grounds again using a slow spiral motion. If water reaches the top of the filter, stop and let it settle to the halfway point, then begin pouring again until you have the desired amount of coffee.

7. When finished, remove the filter and enjoy!

HIGH ALTITUDE USERS

At higher elevations, water boils at a lower temperature. You may need to use a different preset.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

Your kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection. If there is no water in the kettle, the heat will automatically shut off. Allow the kettle to cool, then add more water before using again.

ADJUSTING LID TIGHTNESS

If you feel the kettle lid fits too loosely or is too hard to take off, you can adjust the tightness of the lid.

1. Take off the lid.
2. Use a tool to adjust the 3 tabs on the kettle lid.
3. a. If you push the tabs in, the lid will fit more loosely, and will be easier to put on and take off.
4. b. If you pull the tabs out, the lid will fit more tightly, and will not come off as easily.
5. After adjusting the tabs, put the lid back on and take it off again to see if the fit is correct. If not, adjust the tabs again until the lid fits the way you prefer.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

CLEANING

Before cleaning, please unplug the electrical kettle and make sure it has been cooled down. Never immerse any part of the cable, plug, power cord, base or kettle in water or any other liquid.

EXTERIOR OF THE KETTLE

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a piece of damp cloth and then dry it with a piece of dry cloth. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the finish of your kettle.

INTERIOR OF THE KETTLE

Using the kettle over a period of time, limescale will build up inside your kettle. To remove limescale:

1. Half fill the kettle with water and add the juice of a lemon.
2. Boil up the water and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before discarding.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 several times, please use cold water only. The limescale inside of your electrical kettle will be cleaned up.

NOTE: Regularly remove the limescale deposits from the kettle according to the instructions below. Before cleaning the kettle, unplug it and wait until it cools down.

1. Fill the kettle with water and vinegar or juice (citric acid) or use a special descaling agent available in household stores.
2. Leave the kettle for 1 hour, then boil the water.
3. Empty the kettle and rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
4. If necessary repeat the procedure 1-3 times.
5. To eliminate the smell of vinegar, boil the water several times and pour it out.
6. Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces of the kettle with a cloth.
7. Descaling protects the kettle from damages.

WARNING! Do not immerse the appliance and the base in water or any other liquids. This may cause electric shock or fire.

NOTE: Do not use wire brush or any other abrasive objects. Do not clean the kettle with strong detergents.
