PLEASE READ PRIOR TO INSTALLING THIS FAN
These fans are designed for continuous ventilation to maintain a healthy environment at low CFM levels 24 hours a day. With the optional Multi-Speed module, fans can run continuously at pre-set lower levels (0-100 CFM for FV-0511VK models, 0-120 CFM for FV-1115VKL3). The installer must pre-set the lower setting during installation.
For spot ventilation, fans can handle intermittent needs. Basic models offer three speeds. With the optional Multi-Speed module, speeds can increase up to 150 CFM (FV-1115VKL3) or 110 CFM (FV-0511VK models) when activated by a switch or optional modules like a condensation sensor (FV-CSVK1), motion sensor (FV-MSVK1), or combined sensor (FV-CMVK3).
A High/Low Delay Timer is included to return the fan to its pre-set continuous ventilation mode. The installer should consult with the homeowner for the desired timer setting (0-60 minutes) during installation.
DESCRIPTION
These products are UL listed under file No. E78414. They utilize a sirocco fan driven by a DC motor with an integral transformer, designed for long life, high dynamic response, wider speed ranges, and energy savings. The grille is a spring-attached, quick-removal type with a built-in damper to prevent backflow. The blower uses a high-capacity sirocco fan for reduced noise. The lighting unit is an energy-saving LED (10 W to 12.5 W) providing illumination similar to a 40 W to 60 W incandescent lamp. The night light function consumes 0.1 W to 1.5 W. The unit is TYPE IC-INHERENTLY PROTECTED.
FCC Note: This equipment complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules for Class B digital devices. It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If it causes harmful interference, reorient the antenna, increase separation, connect to a different circuit, or consult a dealer/technician. Modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

INDICATIONS (Plug 'N PlayTM FUNCTION DEVICES)
Panasonic offers optional Plug 'N Play™ modules for enhanced functionality:
- Multi-Speed module (FV-VS15VK1): Allows continuous low-speed ventilation and boosts to high speed for intermittent needs. It's included with FV-0511VKSL3 and FV-0511VKSL3K models. Users can select airflow (CFM) and time delay settings. Choosing a Pick-A-Flow® setting automatically adjusts the Multi-Speed settings.
- Condensation Sensor module (FV-CSVK1): Turns the fan on or boosts speed when humidity is detected, working with the FV-VS15VK1. It anticipates condensation and expels humid air. Pre-set to run for 20 minutes, it then checks humidity and temperature.
- Motion Sensor module (FV-MSVK1): Turns the fan on or boosts speed when motion is detected, also working with the FV-VS15VK1. It's pre-set to run for 20 minutes and re-checks for movement. The sensor has a detection range of 10 feet (3 m) and a 90° field of view at 77°F (25°C).
- Wi-Fi control module (WP100PBA Swidget®): Enables wireless control via the Swidget iOS or Android app using Wi-Fi. Allows connection, grouping, and balancing of products via Bluetooth 5.0 mesh. Features include boost mode control, light module control, sensor status viewing, air quality monitoring, fault notifications, and energy consumption monitoring. Requires a wireless router and internet connection.
- Motion sensor + Condensation sensor module (FV-CMVK3): Activates the fan based on condensation or motion detection. Offers various configurations for motion control, light operation, and fan operation, including automatic shut-off after set periods.
Plug 'N Play™ Modules Combinations: A table details how combining modules (e.g., FV-MSVK1 + FV-VS15VK1) affects fan operation based on motion and humidity detection, including low speed, boost to high speed, and automatic return to low speed after delay times.

MAINTENANCE (CLEANING)
WARNING: Disconnect power supply before working on the unit.
CAUTION: Perform routine maintenance annually. Wear gloves. Do not use harsh chemicals. Do not immerse the motor in water. Do not soak resin parts in water over 140°F (60°C). Do not use cleaning sprays, solvents, or water on or near sensors.
- Remove grille: Pull down one mounting spring, disconnect the wire from the receptacle, then pull down the other spring.
- Clean grille: Use non-abrasive kitchen detergent and wipe dry. Do not use hot water.
- Clean fan body: Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner. Use a damp cloth with kitchen detergent to remove dirt, then wipe dry.
- Reinstall the grille after cleaning.
PRACTICAL GUIDE TO INSTALLATION
- Ducting: Use the shortest, straightest duct routing possible for best airflow, noise, and energy efficiency. Avoid using ducts smaller than recommended. Insulate ducts to reduce energy loss and inhibit mold growth. Fans installed with existing ducts may not achieve rated airflow.
- Duct Size: A circular 6-inch duct is recommended for optimal performance.
- Sealing: Seal all duct joints and exterior penetrations with caulk or similar material to create an airtight path, minimize heat loss/gain, and reduce condensation potential.
- Insulation: Wrap insulation around ducts and/or the fan to minimize condensation buildup and building heat loss/gain.
- Termination: Use a 4-inch or 6-inch roof jack, wall cap, or soffit vent with a backdraft damper. Ensure a 2-3 ft straight run before any elbows. Mechanically connect duct to termination and seal with mastic or approved foil-faced tape. In attic installations, caulk the box to the drywall.
