Power Cord and Plug
This air conditioner is equipped with an LCDI (Leakage Current Detection and Interruption) power cord and plug, as required by US National Electric Code 440.65. This cord features a shielded flexible cord with no termination on the load side and an LCDI attachment plug on the line side.
The LCDI power cord and plug will disconnect the power supply (trip the circuit) if the nominal current leakage between the cord shield and either load conductor exceeds a predetermined value. The cord remains de-energized until manually reset. This is intended to reduce the risk of fire in the power cord or nearby combustible materials. The cord shields are not grounded and must be considered a shock hazard if exposed. The cord shield must not be connected to ground or any exposed metal.
The test and reset buttons on the LCDI Plug are used to check its functionality. To test:
- Plug the power cord into a wall outlet; the LED light will turn on.
- Press the TEST button; the circuit should trip, cutting power to the air conditioner, and the LED light will turn off.
- Press the RESET button to restore power to the unit; the LED light will turn on again.
If the test button is pressed and the unit can still be turned on, current leakage has been detected. Do not use the air conditioner or attempt to reset the LCDI Plug. Contact Customer Service for troubleshooting recommendations.
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows an LCDI plug with "LED LIGHT", "RESET", and "TEST" buttons. An arrow points from the plug to a wall outlet.]
Note: Your unit's power cord may differ from the one shown.
⚠️ WARNING:
- DO NOT press the TEST button while the air conditioner is operating.
- The TEST and RESET buttons should not be used as "ON" and "OFF" switches.
- The cord and plug are not intended to offer protection to externally connected loads or supply circuits.
- The cord and plug are intended for indoor use only.

Installation
Window Preparation
Please read all instructions prior to installing your air conditioner. Two people are recommended to install this product. If a new electrical outlet is required, have it installed by a qualified electrician before installing the unit.
Before installing, check the window dimensions to ensure the air conditioner fits. This unit is designed for a standard double-hung window. Ensure the window is in good condition; make repairs if necessary.

Storm Window Requirements
A storm window frame may prevent the air conditioner from tilting properly for drainage. To adjust, attach a board or piece of wood to the sill. The board/wood should be at least 1 1/2" deep and approximately 1/2" higher than the storm window frame to allow for proper drainage (See FIG. 2).
[Diagram Description: Figure 1 shows a window frame with measurements for minimum opening and width. Figure 2 illustrates a side view of a window sill with a board added to raise the height for proper drainage, showing measurements for the board thickness and its relation to the storm window frame.]
Prior to Installing the Air Conditioner
- Check for anything that could block airflow (e.g., shrubs, trees, awnings outside; curtains, drapes, blinds inside).
- Check the available electrical outlet. The power supply must match the unit's serial nameplate. Ensure the outlet is close enough for the power cord.
- Carefully unpack the air conditioner, removing all packing material. Protect the floor during removal. Due to the unit's size, two people should move it together.
CAUTION: When handling the unit, be careful to avoid cuts from sharp metal edges and aluminum fins on the front and rear coils.
1. Attach Mounting Blocks on Window Frame (See Fig.1)
- Remove adhesive from a mounting block and place it on the window frame.
- Press down firmly to secure it.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for the other mounting block on the window frame.
- The mounting blocks are now ready to support the Saddle Air Conditioner.
[Diagram Description: Figure 1 shows two black mounting blocks being attached to a window frame.]
2. Slide Saddle Air Conditioner Over Window Sill
- Open the window completely.
- Lift the Saddle Air Conditioner by its sides and bring it up to the window.
- Insert the unit into the window until its center is over the window sill.
- Slowly lower the unit over the window sill so it straddles the wall.
- Carefully lower the unit onto the window sill, paying attention to your fingers.
- Center the unit in the window, ensuring equal gaps on either side.
Optional adjustable supports can secure the AC against the outside wall if needed. Short and long support knobs are included for various installations (See Fig.3).
[Diagram Description: Figure 3 shows an adjustable support knob being attached to the side of the air conditioner unit.]
3. Attach Window Slider Support Brackets (See Fig.4)
- Remove adhesive from a window slider support bracket.
- Position the bracket (adhesive-side) against the left-side edge of the Saddle Air Conditioner where the window sash will align when closed.
- Press the bracket firmly in place and hold for 5 seconds.
- Repeat these steps on the right-side edge of the Saddle Air Conditioner.
[Diagram Description: Figure 4 shows a hand attaching a white support bracket to the side of the air conditioner unit.]
4. Install Window Sliders
Connect the window sliders together. Short and long sliders are included to accommodate various window opening sizes.
Slide the window sliders into both support brackets on either side of the Saddle Air Conditioner (See Fig.6).
*Window sliders can be shortened by cutting with a handsaw to fit the opening.
[Diagram Description: Figure 5 shows two window slider pieces being connected. Figure 6 shows window sliders being inserted into the support brackets on the air conditioner unit installed in a window.]
5. Attach Top Foam Sealer
- Measure the total width of the installation, including the window sliders.
- Cut the top foam sealer to length.
- Remove adhesive from the top foam sealer.
- Attach the foam sealer to the top of the Saddle Air Conditioner and window sliders, directly below the window sash.
- Close the window sash to seal.
[Diagram Description: Figure 7 shows a hand applying foam tape to the top of a window installation.]
6. Plug in Saddle Air Conditioner and Power ON
Optional Security Bracket Installation
Your Window Kit includes an optional security bracket to prevent the window from being opened from the outside while a Window Kit is installed.

Use and Care
Clean your air conditioner to keep it looking new and minimize dust buildup.
Air Filter Cleaning
Check the air filter at least monthly. Trapped particles and dust can reduce airflow and cause cooling coils to frost. To clean:
- Remove the filter by pulling on the indents on the top, right, and left sides of the front panel.
- Wash the filter with liquid dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and gently shake to remove excess water.
- Let the filter dry completely before reinserting.
- Alternatively, vacuum the filter to remove dust and particles.
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows the front of the air conditioner with labels "Left Tab" and "Right Tab" indicating where to pull the filter.]
Wear and Tear
To minimize wear and tear, wait at least 3 minutes before changing modes. This protects the compressor and extends product life.
Cabinet Cleaning
- Unplug the air conditioner to prevent shock or fire hazard.
- Dust the cabinet and front panel with an oil-free cloth or wash with a cloth dampened in warm water and mild liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
- Never use harsh cleaners, wax, or polish on the cabinet front.
- Wring excess water from the cloth before wiping around controls to prevent damage.
Winter Storage
When not in use for an extended period, carefully remove the air conditioner from the window according to installation instructions. Cover it with plastic or place it in the original box.
