Class 1 Laser Product
Laser product symbol: Located on the rear panel of the unit, this symbol indicates this unit is a class 1 laser product. Only use weak laser and no hazardous radiation outside of the unit.
- Read through this instruction manual before installation and use.
- Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Switch off the power when the unit is not in use. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet when you do not intend to use the unit for a prolonged period of time. Before moving the unit, remove the disc from the unit/tray first.
- Do not open the cover or touch any of the components inside of the unit. Only a qualified technician should service the unit.
- To avoid damaging the unit, do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or objects that radiate heat.
- Do not place the unit in moist or humid conditions. Moisture will affect normal operation and damage the unit.
- Place the unit on a flat, well-ventilated location. Ensure the ventilation holes are not covered to avoid overheating and malfunction.
- Clean the panel and case with a soft dry cloth only. Do not apply any kind of thinner, alcohol or sprays.
- The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids (such as vases) on the apparatus.

- Do not ingest the battery contained within the remote control supplied with the unit as this battery represents a chemical burn hazard. This product contains a coin/button cell battery.
- If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.

- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

Precautions
Connect this unit to a 12V DC negative ground battery system which is standard in North American and European vehicles.
When installing the unit, ensure that all wire ends not in use are insulated to avoid short circuit or earthing which can lead to the risk of fire or electrical shock.
Avoid inserting foreign objects into the disc loading slot of the unit as this will cause malfunction.
Do not expose this unit to moisture or wet environments. If condensation is present on the screen, wait for 1 hour or more for the moisture to evaporate.
If the interior of the vehicle is extremely hot, do not use the unit until the vehicle's internal temperature has cooled down.
Do not use cleaning products on the front face of the unit. Only use a slightly damp cloth for cleaning.
Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this unit. Contact a service center for assistance.

Functional Overview
Control Panel
The control panel features various buttons and indicators for operating the system. Key elements include:
- 1 Power: Turns the unit on or switches to standby mode.
- 2 Stop: Stops playback.
- 3 AUX socket: Connects to the 3.5mm video/audio output socket on an auxiliary device.
- 4 Headphone socket: Connects a headphone.
- 5 USB socket: Connects a USB storage device or charging device.
- 6 HDMI IN socket: Connects to the HDMI output socket on an AV device.
- 7 Bluetooth: Switches to the Bluetooth sound source.
- 8 Reset: Resets the unit and loads its factory default settings.
- 9 VOLUME -/+ knob: Adjusts volume by turning clockwise or counterclockwise.
- 10 Number buttons (1-6): Used for selecting and entering numbers, repeat modes (RPT4), random playback (RDM5), and displaying title lists (TITLE6).
- 11 LCD screen: Displays system information.
- 12 Eject: Ejects the loaded disc.
- INPUT MODE: Selects the sound source: AM/FM, DISC/USB, BT, AV IN, AUX or HDMI mode.

Remote Control
The remote control provides comprehensive access to all system functions. Key buttons include:
- Power: Turns the unit on or switches to standby mode.
- Eject: Ejects the loaded disc.
- DVD/USB: Switches to the DVD/USB sound source.
- AM/FM: Switches to the AM/FM sound source.
- SEL: Selects various system settings and sound effects.
- SETUP: Accesses or exits the DVD system menu.
- +/-: Increases or decreases volume.
- Stop: Stops playback.
- Number buttons (0-9): Select and enter numbers, skip tracks.
- CLOCK: Enters clock setting mode or displays the clock.

Description of icons on the LCD display
The LCD display uses various icons to indicate the system status:
- USB: Lights up when a USB storage device is connected.
- DVD: Lights up when a DVD is loaded.
- DISC: Lights up when a disc (DVD,VCD,CD) is loaded.
- MP3: Lights up when a loaded disc or connected USB storage device contains MP3 files.
- RDM: Lights up during random playback.
- MONO: Lights up in mono audio mode.
- STEREO: Lights up in stereo audio mode.
- ZONE <1>: Lights up when ZONE 1 speakers are selected.
- ZONE <2>: Lights up when ZONE 2 speakers are selected.
- FOLDER: Lights up when a connected USB storage device contains more than 2 folders with playable files.
- Play/Pause: Lights up during disc or USB playback.
- Pause: Lights up when disc or USB playback is paused.
- Mute: Lights up when sound output of the unit is muted.
- BLUETOOTH: Lights up after successful Bluetooth pairing and connection.
- FLAT: Lights up when the flat audio mode is selected.
- ROCK: Lights up when the rock audio mode is selected.
- CLASSIC: Lights up when the classic audio mode is selected.
- CINEMA: Lights up when the cinema audio mode is selected.
- LOUD: Lights up when the loud audio mode is selected.
- RPT: Lights up during repeat playback.
Before Operation
Wiring Diagram
The unit features multiple connection points for audio and video output, audio input, antenna, and remote control.
Wiring Socket A and Socket B Description:
- Wiring Socket A: Connects to speakers for Zone 1 and Zone 2.
- Wiring Socket B: Connects to power (Memory B+, Ground, Ignition Switch) and Auto Antenna.

Mounting Installation
Location
- Choose a mounting location away from humid areas, water sources, appliances, or any equipment that can radiate heat.
- Select an area on a wall or cabinet that is free from cable, fuel, or brake lines. Ensure the area behind the wall mount stereo has a vent hole or, if it is an enclosed box, has adequate room around the rear of the unit for cooling.
- Ensure that when the stereo is mounted in the cut-out, the wires at the rear of the unit are not pressed against the heat sink.
Installing the unit
- Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring temporarily and ensure the unit and the system work properly.
- Unscrew the locking screws and fix the unit with screws according to the diagram.
- Unscrew the locking screws only by screwdriver and remove the attention label before installation.
- Remove the plastic shell of the front panels from the unit.
- Fix the unit with 4 pieces #8 pan head self-tapping screws.
- Put back the plastic shell of the front panel to the unit.
Prepare the Remote Control
Follow these steps to prepare the remote control for use:
- Before using the remote control for the first time, pull the insulating sheet out of the remote control in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Press the movable block hold in the direction indicated by the A arrow, then pull the battery holder out of the remote control as indicated by the B arrow.
- Replace the old battery with a new battery with (+) polarity side upward.
- Insert the battery holder to the original position in the remote control.
Remote control battery note:
- Improper use of a battery may cause overheating or an explosion that could result in injury or fire.
- Battery leakage may cause damage to the remote control. Battery Life: 6 months with normal use in normal room temperature.
- Do not short the battery.
- Do not throw the battery into the fire.
- To avoid the risk of accident, keep the battery out of reach of children.
Operation
Quick Reference Guide
General Operation
- Power on/off, switch to standby mode: Press [Power] to turn the unit on or enter standby mode. Press and hold [Power] to turn the unit off.
- Mute: Press [MUTE] on the remote control to mute sound. The [MUTE] icon flashes on the display. Press [MUTE] again to restore the sound.
- Select a source: Press [Source] once or more to select Tuner (AM/FM), Disc (with a disc loaded), USB (with a USB storage device connected), BT, AV IN, AUX or HDMI mode.
- Adjust volume: Rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob to adjust volume.
- Select a feature / setting: Press [SEL] on the remote control (or push the [VOLUME -/+] knob on the front) once or more to select VOL, BAS (without EQ preset), TRE (without EQ preset), BAL, EQ, or BEEP. Rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob on the front panel to select a feature/setting.
- Select a preset EQ: Press [EQ] on the remote control once or more directly (or push the [VOLUME -/+] knob on the front panel once or more to activate EQ mode and then rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob) to select EQ, CINEMA, ROCK, CLASSIC, or FLAT. The sound effect will change accordingly.
- Set clock: Press and hold [CLOCK] on the remote control to enter clock setup mode. Rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob to adjust the hour. Press the [VOLUME -/+] knob to enter minute setting. Rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob to adjust the minute. The time on the clock is set automatically after a few seconds of inactivity.
- Turn on / off loudness effect: Press and hold [LOUD] on the remote control to turn on or off LOUD mode.
- Select speakers: Press and hold [ZONE 1 / ZONE 2] to select speaker output. The corresponding zone number will be displayed on the LCD once selected.
- Reset: Press [RESET] with a sharp object to reset the unit and load its factory default settings.
Bluetooth Operation
- Accept or make a call: Press [Call] to accept an incoming call, or dial or redial a telephone number.
- Reject or end a call: Press [End Call] to reject or end a call.
Radio Operation
- Select radio region: Press and hold [Region] for 5 seconds to set the AM/FM radio region (Europe/USA1/USA2/AUSTRALIA).
- Manual tuning: Press [Seek/Tune] to move the radio frequency down or up one step at a time.
- Automatic tuning: Press and hold [Seek/Tune] to search for the next strongest station automatically.
- Select a band: Press and hold [Band] on the front panel or press [AM/FM] on the remote control to select FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, or AM2.
- Store and recall a preset station: Press and hold any one of the six preset buttons (1-6) to store the current frequency. Press the corresponding preset number button to recall the stored frequency.
- Store stations automatically: Press and hold [APS] on the remote control (or [APS] on the front panel) to automatically store the six strongest stations in the current band. Up to 18 FM stations and 12 AM stations can be stored.
- Scan preset stations: Press [APS] on the remote control (or [APS] on the front panel) to scan presets 1-6 on the current band.
- LOC: Press [LOC] on the remote control to turn on/off the LOC (local) function.
- Stereo/mono: In FM mode, press [ST/ANGLE] on the remote control one or more to select stereo or mono sound output.
Disc / USB Operation
- Insert a disc: With the label facing up, insert a disc into the disc slot. The disc will automatically begin playback.
- Eject the disc: Press [Eject] to eject the disc.
- Select a chapter / track: Press [Seek/Tune] to skip to the previous or next chapter/track.
- Fast backward / forward: Press and hold [Seek/Tune] to fast backward/forward.
- Pause playback: Press [Pause] to temporarily stop playback. Press [Pause] again to resume playback.
- Stop playback: Press [Pause] once to pause playback. Then you can press [Pause] to resume. Press [Stop] twice to stop playback. Then press [Play] to start playback from the beginning of the first chapter/track.
- Repeat: Press [RPT] to play the current chapter/track repeatedly. Press [RPT] again to resume.
- Random: Press [RDM] to play each track in random order. Press [RDM] again to resume.
- Title: In DVD/VCD mode, press [TITLE/PBC] on the remote control to display the title list.
Common Operation
- Turn the unit on or switch to standby mode: Press [Power] to turn the unit on or switch to standby mode.
- Selecting a Source: Use [Source] on the front panel repeatedly to select Tuner (AM/FM), Disc, USB, BT, AV IN, AUX, or HDMI mode. Note: Press [Bluetooth] to enter Bluetooth mode directly. When HDMI source is selected, video is output from AV1 and AV2. Use corresponding buttons on the remote control for DVD/USB, AM/FM, AUX, and AV IN/HDMI.
- Adjust volume: Rotate the [VOLUME -/+] knob clockwise to increase volume, rotate anticlockwise to decrease volume.
- Mute: Press [MUTE] to mute sound output. The 'MUTE' icon will be displayed on the screen. Press [MUTE] again to resume.
- Display and set the clock: Press [CLOCK] to display the clock. Press and hold [CLOCK] to enter clock setup mode. Adjust hour and minute using the [VOLUME -/+] knob.
- Select a preset EQ mode: Press [EQ] or use the [VOLUME -/+] knob to select EQ, CINEMA, ROCK, CLASSIC, or FLAT.
Advanced Disc / USB Operation
- Fast backward / forward: Press and hold [Seek/Tune] for fast backward/forward at speeds x2, x4, x8, x20, or normal. Press [Pause] to resume normal playback.
- Slow forward: Press [SLOW_FWD] for slow forward playback. Press [Pause] to resume normal playback. (Video playback only)
- Play frame by frame: Press [STEP] consecutively for frame-by-frame playback. Press [Pause] to resume normal playback.
- Play repeatedly: Press [RPT] to select repeat mode (ONE, DIR, ALL, OFF).
- Repeat A-B: Define start (A) and end (B) points to repeat a specific segment. Press [A-B] three times to cancel.
- Play from a specified chapter / track or specified time: Press [SEARCH] to display a search box. Input title/chapter/track number using number buttons and navigation buttons, then press [OK] or [Play] to play.
- Play randomly: Press [RDM] to switch between RANDOM ON and RANDOM OFF.
- Play from different angles: Press [ANGLE] during DVD playback to view from different angles. (Not available for VCD/MP3/CD discs)
- Zoom in / out during playback: Press [ZOOM] to enlarge areas of the image. Use navigation buttons to select the area.
- Change the caption language: Press [SUBT] to select caption language or turn off caption. (Not available for VCD/MP3/CD discs)
- Change the audio language: Press [AUDIO] to select audio language (DVDs) or sound mode (VCDs).
- Check the playback status: Press [OSD] to display playback status information (title, chapter, time).
- Program playback: Press [PROG] to enter a program interface and input sequence numbers for titles/chapters/tracks. Use navigation buttons to move the cursor and [PLAY] to start playback. Press [CLEAR] to remove all programmed sequence numbers.
- Play a JPEG picture CD: Use navigation buttons to select folders/files. Press [OK] to open folders or play files. Use number buttons to select files.
- Play MP4: Use navigation buttons to select folders/files. Press [OK] to open folders or play files.
Set up the DVD System Menu
Press [SETUP] on the remote control to access the DVD System Menu. Use navigation buttons to select setup pages, items, and options.
- System Setup: TV SYSTEM, RESOLUTION, TV TYPE, PASSWORD, RATING, DEFAULT.
- Language Setup: OSD LANGUAGE, AUDIO LANG, SUBTITLE LANG, MENU LANG.
- Audio Setup: AUDIO OUT (SPDIF/OFF, SPDIF/RAW, SPDIF/PCM), HDMI AUDIO (AUTO, PCM).
- Video Setup: BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, HUE, SATURATION, SHARPNESS.
- Speaker Setup: DOWNMIX (LT/RT, STEREO, VSS).
- Digital Setup: DYNAMIC RANGE, DUAL MONO.
About Parental Control: A dialogue box asking for a password appears if the movie's rating level is higher than the unit's. Input the correct password to adjust the rating level. Default password is 0000.
Accessories: Parental Control: The Parental Control function can control playback of movie scenes based on rating levels.
All rating levels of Parental Control: Unlock, Kid Safe, G, PG, PG 13, R, NC 17, Adult.
Region Code: If the DVD player and disc have different region codes, playback will not be possible. The world is divided into 6 regions for DVD playback.
Appendix: Region code of DVD: Lists the 6 regions and their corresponding countries/areas.
Bluetooth Operation
Pair DV3100S with your mobile phone
- Activate Bluetooth mode on your mobile device. Press [∗] on the DV3100S to enter pairing mode.
- When DV3100S is detected by your mobile phone, select the device name FURRION DV3100S-XXXX.
- Input password 0000. Upon successful pairing, 'LINK OK' will appear on the LCD.
Note: Some phones may require re-connection by selecting the device name from the paired list.
Disconnect / unpair DV3100S from your mobile phone
- To disconnect: Select the device name from your mobile phone's paired Bluetooth devices list.
- To unpair: Press and hold [∗] on the front panel for 5 seconds to clear pairing information.
Operate your mobile phone via Bluetooth
- When connected, use your mobile phone controls to switch sound output.
- To dial a number: Use number buttons 0-9. Press [CLEAR] to cancel input. Press [Call] to dial.
- To redial a number: Press [Redial] to show the last dialed number and call out.
- To accept a call: Press [Call] when there is an incoming call.
- To reject a call: Press [Reject Call] when there is an incoming call.
- To end a call: Press [End Call] during a call.
Play an audio file from another Bluetooth device to DV3100S
'LINK OK' indicates successful pairing. If the Bluetooth device supports A2DP, stream music. Activate Bluetooth mode on your mobile device. If the device supports AVRCP, use DV3100S controls for playback.
Note: In other modes, press [∗] on the front panel to switch between modes.
Maintenance
Maintenance and Cleaning of Discs
Disc Maintenance
- Handle discs by the edge, do not touch the play side surface.
- Do not stick paper or tape on the disc. Remove any glue residue before use.
- Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, heat sources, or leave them in a hot car.
- Put the disc inside a disc case after playback.
Disc Cleaning
- Before playing, wipe the disc with a clean cloth, wiping outwards from the disc center.
- Do not use petrol, thinners, commercial cleaners, or anti-static sprays for plastic LPs.

Flaws in picture or sound | Check if the disc is scratched or stained. Check AV connector and output terminal. Check for condensation inside the lens (leave unit off for an hour). Check installation angle (<30 degrees). Ensure disc is inserted correctly, not in reverse, not distorted, and not badly stained or scratched. Ensure disc format is compatible.
