1. Product Introduction

The NOYAFA NF-8509 is a multifunctional digital multimeter and wire tracker, combining cable testing and multimeter functionalities.

Note: Wire scanning is enabled by default upon device power-on.

Device Description:

Transmitter Unit: Features a signal probe, buttons for length test/port flashing/POE, wire scanning/wire mapping, NCV function indicator, battery level display, multimeter function display, wire scanning function display, power button, wire scanning function button, test button, function switch button, multimeter probe socket, Type-C interface, and multimeter function button.

Receiver Unit: Includes a flashlight, power indicator, wire scanning indicator, sensitivity adjustment dial, 3.5mm headphone jack, mode switch button, and RJ45 interface.

2. Operating Instructions for Cable Testing Functionality

Wire Scanning:

In wire scanning mode, press the ▶ button. The screen displays "1" for digital wire scanning mode. Pressing ▶ again displays "2" for analog wire scanning mode. Maximum wire scanning distance: ≤ 600 meters (no load); ≤ 1,000 meters (under load).

Wire Mapping:

Press the ► button to enable wire mapping function. Press the ▶ button to perform the wire mapping test (up to 2,000 meters).

Port Flashing:

Press the ► button to enable port flashing function. Press the ▶ button to perform port flashing detection (10M/100M/1,000M identification).

Length Test:

Press the ► button to enable length test function. Press the ▶ button to perform length test (range: 5-200 meters).

POE Function:

Press the ► button to enable POE function. The device will automatically detect the POE voltage.

3. Operating Instructions for Multimeter Functionality

After powering on, press the ► button to enter multimeter mode. Press the ► button again to switch between AC voltage, DC voltage, diode/continuity, NCV, resistance, DC/AC current, frequency, and ambient temperature tests. After selecting the desired function, press the ▶ button to start testing. The device defaults to AC voltage test.

AC/DC Voltage Measurement: 600mV-610V.
Continuity Test: Detects connectivity performance of wires and conductors. A buzzer sounds if resistance is below 50Ω.
Diode Measurement: Identifies polarity and forward voltage drop of diodes (0-3.3V).
NCV Function: Detects AC signals when the device is close to an AC signal source (0-4 levels).
Resistance Measurement: 600Ω-60MΩ.
AC/DC Current Measurement: 1mA-3A DC (accuracy: ±0.8%+3).
Frequency: 0-10MHz (accuracy: ±1.0%+3).
Others: Displays ambient temperature.

4. Battery Level Indication

Transmitter: A display of 0% indicates a low battery level; recharge promptly.

Receiver: A flashing power indicator signifies a low battery level; replace the battery promptly.
