Introducing the Ayrton Cobra
The Ayrton Cobra is a groundbreaking laser source luminaire, setting a new standard in professional lighting. First introduced at Prolight+Sound 2016, it is built upon the innovative concept of the DreamSpot 18K.
The Cobra features a minimalist and balanced design, enhanced by its simplified EasyProtect-65™ waterproofing and continuous pan and tilt movement. This design offers unparalleled flexibility for creating complex lighting effects and makes the Cobra a versatile tool for any lighting challenge, in any condition. Notably, the Cobra is distinguished as the only luminaire on the market capable of illuminating objects several kilometers away, underscoring its unique capabilities.
Key Features
- Advanced Colour System: Equipped with a CMY flag mixing system and a multi-position instant-access wheel featuring six corrective filters, 21 complementary colour filters, and a variable CTO, all arranged in an innovative 2D-ColorWheel™ design.
- Superior Long-Throw Focus: Delivers exceptional beam precision with a native contrast from its digital light source. Its advanced XT-Focus™ allows for precise beam shaping across varying distances, with a beam angle as narrow as 0.6° and an impressive 38x zoom ratio.
- Exceptional Gobo Capabilities: Offers 92 fixed and rotating metal gobos across two wheels (12 rotating and 80 fixed), designed to shape light in beam mode and featuring a dynamic animation section.
- Dynamic Prism Effects: Seamlessly combines gobos with two sections of four independently rotating prisms, allowing for a diverse array of volumetric lighting effects.
- Versatile Performance in Any Environment: Engineered for demanding conditions, the Cobra includes SunProtect-65™ for intense sunlight and ColdProtect-65™ integrated heating for reliable operation down to -20 °C (-4 °F).
