Getting Started: Setup Guide
-
1) Open the B-hyve App
Log into your B-hyve account and navigate to 'devices' under settings to add the Hose Faucet Timer as a new device. The app will guide you through the remaining setup process.
For new users, search for "B-hyve" and download the free Android or iOS app. Create an account to begin timer setup.
-
2) Power Your Wi-Fi Hub
Hub MAC Address: Write down the 12-digit alphanumeric code found on the back of the hub.
Plug the hub into an indoor outlet. Ensure it is within range of your B-hyve device and Wi-Fi signal. Avoid placing the hub in areas where the signal must travel through dirt or thick steel barriers.
-
3) Enter Pairing Mode
Press the B-hyve button on the hub to enter pairing mode. The hub will flash a blue light every 5 seconds.
-
4) Power Your Hose Faucet Timer
Insert two new AA Batteries (sold separately). The timer is now in pairing mode and will flash a blue light every 5 seconds. You will also hear two clicks approximately 6 seconds apart; this is normal and confirms the valve is closed before water is turned on.
Timer MAC Address: Write down the 12-digit alphanumeric code located on the bottom of the timer.
Note: If you need to re-pair or perform a factory reset, press the [on/off button] quickly 5 times.
Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the timer flashes a red light every 5 seconds, or when the app notifies you. If you remove or change batteries, you will need to reconnect via Bluetooth to set the correct time and date.
-
5) Install the Timer
Your timer is now ready to be attached to any standard hose faucet. Do not place the timer in an underground valve box.
-
6) Turn on Your Water
The water supply must remain on for the timer to function correctly.
Manual Watering
To activate manual watering, press and hold the [on/off button] for 5 seconds. To stop watering, even during a programmed cycle, press the [on/off button] once.
