SM10 Solar Module for EMS Wiring Diagram
Overview
This document provides the wiring diagram for the Buderus SM10 Solar Module, designed for Energy Management Systems (EMS).
The diagram illustrates the connections for power supply, solar pump, temperature sensors, and other system components.
Voltage Indicators
Key voltage indicators are shown:
- Control voltage 120V~: [filled square]
- Extra-low voltage: [empty square]
SM10 Solar Module Connections
The SM10 Solar module features several terminal blocks for connections:
- Mains IN (N, L, PE): Receives the 120V AC mains supply. It is protected by a 2.5 AT [fuse]. The maximum fuse rating for the mains connection is 10A.
- Mains OUT (N, L, PE): Provides mains connection, also rated for 120V AC.
- PSS 1 (61, 63): Terminal block for connecting the Solar Pump (PSS).
- FSK (1, 2): Terminal block for connecting the Collector Temperature Sensor (FSK).
- FSS (1, 2): Terminal block for connecting the Bottom Tank Temperature Sensor (FSS).
- EMS (1, 2): Terminal block for connecting to further EMS components.
Wiring Specifications
Wire gauges used in the diagram:
- AWG 14: Used for Mains IN, Mains OUT, and the Solar Pump (PSS) connection (maximum 1.0A).
- AWG 18: Used for temperature sensors (FSK, FSS) and connections to further EMS components.
Signal flow is indicated by [downward arrow] for mains supply and [lines] for sensor and component connections.
Important Installation Note
Note: It is the installer's responsibility to ensure that the system meets all applicable national and local codes. Protect the system with an appropriate circuit breaker and an emergency shutoff switch. Never use the yellow-green ground wire as a control line. Ensure proper polarity of phase and neutral.
