Charger model
For EU countries: Use only the original BL-25AA rechargeable battery and HAC-18 charger. Charger plug types may vary. HMD Global may offer additional battery or charger models.
For environmental reasons, the package may not include a charger. The device can be powered by most USB power adapters with a USB Type-C cable. Use only compliant chargers and cables that meet country regulations and safety standards to avoid risks.
The charger should supply between 2 Watts (minimum) and 5 Watts (maximum) for optimal charging speed.
The device supports charging via USB-C cable. Charging via a USB cable connected to a computer may take longer.
For other countries: Charge with the HAD-005 charger. HMD Global may offer additional battery or charger models. Charging time varies by device capability.
If a charger is not included, use the included data cable and a USB power adapter (sold separately). Third-party cables and adapters compliant with USB 2.0 or later and relevant safety standards can be used. Non-compliant adapters may pose risks.

Handle your device, battery, charger, and accessories with care.
- Keep the device dry. Liquids can corrode electronic circuits.
- Do not use or store the device in dusty or dirty areas.
- Do not store the device in high temperatures, as this can damage it or the battery.
- Avoid cold temperatures. Moisture can form inside the device as it warms up, potentially causing damage.
- Do not open the device unless instructed in the user guide.
- Unauthorized modifications can damage the device and violate regulations.
- Do not drop, knock, or shake the device or battery. Rough handling can cause breakage.
- Use only a soft, clean, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Do not paint the device, as paint can affect its operation.
- Keep the device away from magnets or magnetic fields.
- Store important data in at least two separate places (e.g., device, memory card, computer) or write down important information.
The device may feel warm during extended operation; this is normal. To prevent overheating, it may slow down, close apps, or switch off. If the device is not working properly, take it to an authorized service facility.

BATTERY AND CHARGER INFORMATION
Check the printed guide for information on removable, non-removable, or user-replaceable batteries.
Devices with a removable battery
Use only the original rechargeable battery. Batteries wear out over time; replace when talk and standby times are noticeably shorter.
Devices with a non-removable battery
Do not attempt to remove the battery, as this may damage the device. Replace the battery at an authorized service facility when performance degrades.
Devices with a user-replaceable battery
Follow HMD's self-repair instructions or visit an authorized service facility. More information at www.hmd.com/self-repair.
Charge your device with a compatible charger. Charging time varies by device capability.
Battery and charger safety information
Once fully charged, unplug the charger from the device and outlet. Continuous charging should not exceed 12 hours. A fully charged battery loses charge over time if unused.
Extreme temperatures reduce battery capacity and lifetime. Keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F) for optimal performance. A hot or cold battery may cause temporary malfunction. Batteries may drain quickly in cold temperatures.
Obey local regulations. Recycle when possible. Do not dispose of this product as household waste.
Do not expose the battery to extreme low air pressure or high temperatures (e.g., fire), as it may explode or leak. Do not dismantle, cut, crush, bend, puncture, or damage the battery. If a battery leaks, flush affected areas with water or seek medical help. Do not modify or insert foreign objects into the battery. Batteries may explode if damaged.
Use batteries and chargers only for their intended purposes. Improper use may pose risks (fire, explosion) and invalidate warranty. If a battery or charger appears damaged, take it to a service center or shop before continuing use. Never use a damaged battery or charger. Use chargers indoors only. Do not charge during lightning storms.
To unplug a charger or accessory, pull the plug, not the cord.
If your device has a removable or user-replaceable battery:
- Always switch off and unplug the charger before removing covers or the battery.
- Accidental short-circuiting can occur if a metallic object touches battery contacts, potentially damaging the battery or object.
SMALL CHILDREN
Your device and accessories are not toys and may contain small parts. Keep them out of reach of small children.
NICKEL
The surface of this device is nickel-free.
MEDICAL DEVICES
Radio transmitting equipment may interfere with inadequately shielded medical devices. Consult a physician or the medical device manufacturer to determine if it is adequately shielded from external radio energy.
IMPLANTED MEDICAL DEVICES
To avoid interference, manufacturers of implanted medical devices recommend a minimum separation of 15.3 cm (6 inches) between a wireless device and the medical device. Persons with such devices should:
- Keep the wireless device more than 15.3 cm (6 inches) from the medical device.
- Do not carry the wireless device in a breast pocket.
- Hold the wireless device to the ear opposite the medical device.
- Switch off the wireless device if interference is suspected.
- Follow the manufacturer's directions for the implanted medical device.
Consult your healthcare provider if you have questions about using your wireless device with an implanted medical device.
HEARING
⚠️ [Hearing Warning] Using a headset may affect your ability to hear outside sounds. Do not use the headset where it could endanger your safety. Some wireless devices may interfere with hearing aids.
PROTECT YOUR DEVICE FROM HARMFUL CONTENT
Your device may be exposed to viruses and harmful content. Take precautions:
- Be cautious when opening messages, as they may contain malicious software.
- Be cautious when accepting connectivity requests or browsing the internet. Do not accept Bluetooth® connections from untrusted sources.
- Install antivirus and security software on connected computers.
- When accessing preinstalled bookmarks or third-party sites, take appropriate precautions. HMD Global does not endorse or assume liability for such sites.
VEHICLES
Radio signals may affect improperly installed or shielded electronic systems in vehicles. Check with your vehicle manufacturer for more information. Only authorized personnel should install the device in a vehicle. Faulty installation can be dangerous and void your warranty. Ensure all wireless device equipment in your vehicle is mounted and operating properly. Do not store flammable or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device or its parts. Do not place the device or accessories in an airbag deployment area.
POTENTIALLY EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENTS
Switch off your device in potentially explosive environments (e.g., near petrol pumps). Sparks can cause explosions or fires. Note restrictions in areas with fuel, chemical plants, or blasting operations. These areas may not be clearly marked but include places where engines should be switched off, boat decks, chemical transfer facilities, and areas with chemicals or particles in the air.
CERTIFICATION INFORMATION
This mobile device meets guidelines for radio wave exposure. It is designed not to exceed limits for radio frequency electromagnetic fields, as recommended by ICNIRP. Exposure guidelines are based on Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), measuring RF power deposited in the body. The ICNIRP SAR limit for mobile devices is 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10 grams of tissue.
SAR tests are conducted at the highest certified power level. The device meets RF exposure guidelines when used against the head or positioned at least 1.5 cm (5/8 inches) away from the body. Body-worn operation using accessories like carry cases or belt clips should not contain metal and must maintain this separation distance.
Sending data or messages requires a good network connection; delays may occur. Follow separation distance instructions until sending is complete.
SAR values are typically well below stated limits during general use, as operating power is automatically reduced for system efficiency and to minimize network interference.
Device models may have variations affecting SAR values. For more information, visit www.sar-tick.com. Mobile devices may transmit even when not making a voice call.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) states that current scientific information does not indicate a need for special precautions when using mobile devices. For reduced exposure, limit usage or use a hands-free kit. For more information on RF exposure, visit the WHO website at www.who.int/health-topics/electromagnetic-fields#tab=tab_1.
Refer to www.hmd.com/sar for the maximum SAR value.
