Overview

Enhance your lighting control with the MTS17 Smart Dimmer Module, seamlessly integrated with the Major Tech Hub app. Designed for 125W LED and 200W incandescent loads, this customizable trailing or leading edge dimmer supports a voltage range of 180-250V AC, ensuring optimal performance. With 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the MTS17 offers responsive control, with Bluetooth taking over if Wi-Fi is lost. Voice Control is available through Alexa and Google Assistant. The compact design allows for easy installation. Customize lighting automations and schedules to create the perfect atmosphere and reduce energy bills.

• The MTS17 supports conventional dimmable lamps or lights (Not intended for smart bulbs).
• Ensure the MTS17 Module is installed by a qualified professional in accordance with local regulations.
• The MTS17 can be used with the Major Tech Hub app and/or manually with a bell press switch for app-free control.

Protection: If the voltage exceeds the set parameter, the module will shut down until the voltage stabilizes.

Usage Indicator

Blue LED Indicator: This will flash to indicate that the MTS17 is in pairing mode and ready to be added to your device list in the "Major Tech Hub" App. The indicator will stop flashing during the pairing process once a successful connection has been made.

• Smooth and Precise Dimming Control: Enjoy a flicker-free dimming experience with gradual adjustments in increments of 1%, allowing you to set the brightness to any level between 1% and 100% for granular control over lighting output.
• Customizable Automations: Create and save personalized lighting automations with the Major Tech Hub app. Automations can control switching on/off, setting specific brightness levels, or adjusting brightness in increments of 1%, 10%, or 20%. These automations can be activated automatically or with a tap-to-run option for added convenience.
• Voice Control Compatibility: Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant for seamless control.
• Dual Mode Connectivity: Utilize Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for reliable and responsive control, with Bluetooth providing failover support if Wi-Fi connectivity is lost. Compatible with 2.4GHz networks.

Installation and Connecting the Device via the App

1. Have the MTS17 installed by a suitably qualified professional in accordance with local regulations.
2. Follow the connection diagram as printed in this manual to ensure that the Dimmer Module is installed correctly. Tighten all screws securely during the installation process.
3. Download the free "Major Tech Hub" Smart App from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
4. Go to the App Settings on the device where you installed "Major Tech Hub" and grant all permissions to the App. This is to ensure full functionality of the App and the seamless connection of your smart devices.
5. Always ensure your phone is connected via a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network (Smart Devices are not compatible with 5GHz Networks to ensure good range and a stable connection).
6. Power on MTS17: When the Dimmer Module is powered on, press and hold the back of the device for 7 seconds to enter pairing mode. The Blue Indicator LED will start flashing quickly.
7. Add Device: The desired Wi-Fi Network must be available and connected to the device running the "Major Tech Hub" App. In the App, tap on the "+" or "Add Device" icon.
8. The App will automatically display the list of all your activated Smart Devices that are ready and in Pairing Mode.
9. Tap on "Add" to begin adding all discovered Smart Devices.
10. Enter the SSID and password of the desired 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network, then tap "Next" to continue adding Smart Devices.
11. A screen will be displayed showing the progress for each device being added.
12. Once a device has successfully been added, you can edit its "Name" and place it in one of the rooms you have set up in your "Home".
13. Once completed, the Control Panel of your newly added Smart Device will open automatically, allowing you to further customize and program the device as you require.

Connection Diagrams

Connection Diagram A: Wiring directly to a load with no physical switch.

This diagram shows the module connected to a load (represented by a light bulb symbol). The AC Live (L) wire connects to the 'L-in' terminal. The AC Neutral (N) wire connects to the 'N-in' terminal. The 'L-out' terminal connects to one side of the load, and the other side of the load connects to the 'N' terminal.

Connection Diagram B: Wiring directly to a load with a bell press switch for manual control.

This diagram illustrates connecting the module to a load with a bell press switch for manual operation. Similar to Diagram A, AC Live (L) connects to 'L-in', and AC Neutral (N) connects to 'N-in'. The 'L-out' terminal connects to the load. The bell press switch is wired in series between the 'L-out' terminal and the AC 'L' line, before the load. Note: Bell Press Switch must only be connected across the MTS17 Switch Terminal and Neutral Line.
