Major Tech ALF Range LED Floodlight

Introduction

This LED floodlight range offers versatile lighting solutions across various wattages, designed to replace traditional floodlights. The range provides high lumen outputs for excellent brightness and energy efficiency. Each unit features a durable 4mm strengthened clear glass cover, ensuring it is fully weatherproof (IP65 rated) and resistant to harsh environmental conditions. The light source utilizes high-power SMD LEDs, thermally connected to an aluminium housing for low heat emissions and extended lifespan. Depending on the model, these floodlights offer different IK impact protection ratings and include features such as wide voltage input compatibility and built-in surge protection. Installation must be performed by a qualified electrical professional.

The floodlight shown is a typical representation of the ALF Range, featuring a robust grey housing, a clear glass lens, and a power cable with a connector. The model displayed is the ALF100NW, rated at 100W and IP65.

Installation

If any damage is noticed upon removing the product from the packaging, please return it to Major Tech before attempting installation. These lights must be installed by a qualified electrician. Major Tech reserves the right to refuse the return of the product if it is incorrectly installed by an unqualified individual.

Installation Steps

1. Disconnect the power supply before commencing installation.
2. Remove the mounting bracket from the floodlight for easier installation.
3. Drill two holes in the mounting surface and position the bracket over the holes. Secure the bracket to the wall using screws (refer to Figure 1 & 2). Ensure the correct installation height as specified in the Specifications table.
4. Reconnect the floodlight to the bracket using the same connections as when it was removed (refer to Figure 3).
5. Connect the electrical wires: the brown wire to the mains 'Live' terminal, the blue wire to the 'Neutral' terminal, and the yellow and green wire to the 'Earth' terminal (refer to Figure 4).
6. Confirm all connections are secure once installation is complete.

Maintenance

• Ensure the power supply is switched off before performing any maintenance.
• Clean the glass cover regularly using non-abrasive cleaners, such as water and mild dishwashing liquid, to maintain optimal light output.
• Wipe down the housing with a dry cloth to keep it clean and free of dust.
