  • Client use in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments.
  • Bed and breakfast type environments.

Before Initial Use

Clean all parts – except the heating elements – carefully and allow them to dry. To eliminate the smell of newness, heat the appliance with water for about 10 minutes.

? Caution! The appliance gets hot. Danger of burns! The temperature of the touchable surfaces can become very hot during operation! Place the appliance on a level, insensitive surface and maintain a distance of at least 70cm from flammable materials.

Steam may escape during use. Keep hands and face at a distance. Ensure that hot steam can escape when removing the pot. Ensure sufficient distance from wall cupboards to prevent veneer damage.

Do not cover or block the condensation valve in the lid. Open the lid slowly so that the condensed water can drain into the condensation reservoir.

Never operate the appliance without the lid.

If an extension cable is used, it must have a cross-section of 1.5mm². A cable drum must always be unwound.

If a GS-tested 16 A multi-pin extension is used, it must not be loaded with more than 3680 watts due to fire hazard.

Ensure that children do not tamper with the cable or create a trip hazard.

The appliance must always be disconnected from the power supply if it is not supervised and before assembly, disassembly, or cleaning.

Clean after every use.

Hygiene: Please always clean the device to avoid bacteria and mold formation.

Cleaning

⚠️ Attention! Pull the plug before cleaning and allow the device to cool down.

  • Never immerse the unit in water.
  • Remove the inner pot and clean it with a mild detergent (do not use aggressive cleaners, like steel wool).
  • Clean the heating plate and the thermostat contact area on the outer pot with a damp cloth; take care not to deform the thermostat.
  • Clean the inside of the lid and the drip collector box and dry them completely.
  • Do not damage the sealing ring of the lid during cleaning.
  • Clean the removable condensate valve under running water.

Workplace

Important: Never place this device on or next to hot surfaces (e.g., hot stoves). Only use it on an even, stable, and heat-resisting surface. It is important that no flammable items are nearby. Do not place the device on the edge of the table so that it cannot be touched by children or fall down when touched.

Danger of Foam

Never add egg, milk, cream, or similar to the rice. Always wash the rice before cooking. Otherwise, foam may form during cooking.

How Much Rice Has to Be Used?

  • For 2 measuring cups rice, add 3 measuring cups water.
  • For 3 measuring cups rice, add 4 measuring cups water.
  • For 4 measuring cups rice, add 5 measuring cups water.
  • For 5 measuring cups rice, add 6 measuring cups water.
  • For 6 measuring cups rice, add 7 measuring cups water.
  • For 7 measuring cups rice, add 8 measuring cups water.

You can add spices like chili to the water. Different types of rice require a little more water. For wild and natural rice, add half a measuring cup of water to the above amounts.

Cooking Rice

  1. Place the inner pot into the appliance. Ensure that no rice grain sticks to the heating plate or pot button, as this negatively affects the control. Turn the inner pot briefly to the left and right to ensure sufficient contact with the heating plate and thermostat. Never put liquids or rice in the outer pot/housing.
  2. Do not use rice bags; pour the rice loosely into the inner pot. To prevent foaming, wash the rice beforehand in a sieve under cold water and place it in the inner pot. Use at least 2 measuring cups, maximum 7 measuring cups of rice! Never use more than 7 measuring cups of rice, as the rice will swell.
  3. Close the lid, press the main switch on the back of the device, and then the thermal switch. The red "Cook" lamp will light up. After the cooking time ends, the appliance switches to warming mode, and the yellow "Warm" lamp lights up.

After the cooking time, stir the rice well to allow excess water to evaporate. Close the lid again. The rice will continue to steam. Some types may become soft and sticky; if the rice is too firm, use a little more water.

With different types of rice, the grains at the bottom of the pot may brown slightly. This is normal and cannot be prevented due to the system. Stir briefly during cooking if necessary.

To avoid scratches, use the supplied plastic spoon for removal.

Steaming

With the steaming insert, you can steam vegetables or fish. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces and distribute them evenly on the steaming insert. The vegetables must not protrude over the edge of the insert.

Pour 2 measuring cups of water into the inner pot, insert the steaming insert, close the lid, and start the appliance.

When steam escapes from the valve, the liquid is boiling. Let the appliance run for a few more minutes to determine the desired level of doneness.

Other Dishes

With a little imagination, you can use the rice cooker for other dishes, for example:

Asian Rice Soup

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 2-3 slices ginger
  • 250 ml washed rice
  • 750 ml water
  • 200 ml coconut milk
  • 2-3 tsp vegetable stock
  • Salt, pepper
  • Oil

Set the switch to "Cook", sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger in oil with the lid closed, then add the rice. Fill up with vegetable stock and close the lid. After 15-20 minutes, taste the rice; if it is cooked, add the coconut milk.

Chili con Carne

  • 2 small cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1 small can corn, drained
  • 125 g bacon slices, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 2 pointed peppers, sliced
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 400 ml vegetable stock
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Chili, salt, pepper

Set the switch to "Cook", briefly sauté the bacon and onion with oil in the inner pot, then add all other ingredients and stir. Close the lid. Taste and serve after about 15-20 minutes.

Djuvec Rice

  • 2 measuring cups (180 ml each) rice, washed
  • 2 measuring cups water
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 2 pointed peppers, sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp chili flakes or paste
  • 1-2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 bunch spring onions or chives

Put all ingredients (except peppers and spring onions) into the inner pot and stir briefly, then switch the appliance to "Cook". After the cooking process, the appliance switches to warming. Now open the lid and stir in the peppers. Let the rice steep for another 10-15 minutes with the lid closed. To serve, sprinkle the chopped spring onion greens over the rice.

Warranty Conditions

This appliance is intended for household use only. Defects on the appliance that are attributable to manufacturing faults during intended use and are reported to us immediately after discovery and within the warranty period after delivery to the end customer will be rectified by us in accordance with the following conditions. To make your claim, please enclose the original sales receipt with the date of sale.

Warranty obligation is not triggered by minor deviations from the specified condition that are irrelevant to the value and usability of the appliance, nor by damage from abnormal environmental conditions. The warranty exclusively covers defects attributable to material or manufacturing faults. The rectification of defects recognized by us as warrantable is carried out by replacing the defective parts with faultless parts.

Excluded from Warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage to the coating from use
  • Glass breakage
  • Improper use, such as overloading or unauthorized accessories
  • Damage due to external influence, force, or foreign objects
  • Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions, e.g., incorrect mains voltage

Appliances for which defect rectification is claimed under this warranty must be sent to us properly packed, cleaned, with a fault description, and including the proof of purchase. Replaced parts become our property. The warranty claim is non-transferable and expires in case of improper use or misuse, if repairs or interventions have been carried out by third parties; regardless of whether the complaint is based on this. Warranty services do not extend the warranty period, nor do they start a new warranty period. The warranty period for installed spare parts ends at the same time as the warranty period for the entire appliance.

If the defect cannot be rectified, or if rectification is refused by us or unreasonably delayed, then at the request of the end customer, within the statutory warranty period from the date of purchase or delivery, either free replacement will be provided, or the reduced value will be compensated, or the appliance will be taken back against refund of the purchase price.

Further claims, especially those for consequential damages incurred outside the appliance, are excluded.
