This document provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your BISSELL SpotClean portable carpet and upholstery cleaner. Please read all instructions before use.

Unpacking and Parts Identification
When unpacking your BISSELL SpotClean, ensure you have all the following parts:

Model Specific Components:
Model 37288: Includes the main unit and standard accessories.
Models 3724N, 37241: Include the main unit and specific accessories tailored for pet owners and select cleaning needs.

Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your SpotClean:
Attach the hose to the main unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
Connect the wand to the end of the hose.
Attach the desired cleaning tool to the end of the wand.
Ensure all connections are firm before proceeding.
Connect the power cord to the unit and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.

Filling the Clean Water Tank
Use only BISSELL cleaning formulas for your machine to maximize cleaning and maintain your warranty. Do not use plain water.
Recommended Formulas:
- Spot & Stain PRO OXY
- Pet Stain & Odour
Steps to Fill:
Locate the clean water tank on the unit.
Gently pull the tank handle upwards to remove the tank from the machine.
Open the tank cap and fill with clean, hot (not boiling) tap water up to the indicated fill line.
Add the recommended amount of BISSELL cleaning formula to the water.
Securely replace the tank cap and reinsert the tank into the machine until it clicks into place.
Note: Ensure the tank is correctly seated before operation.
Operating the SpotClean
Ensure the clean water tank is filled and the dirty water tank is empty before starting.
Check Cleaning Surface: Before using, test the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the carpet or upholstery to ensure colorfastness.
Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
Power On: Press the power button [⏻] to turn on the machine.
Apply Solution: Aim the cleaning tool at the stained area and press the spray trigger to dispense the cleaning solution.
Scrub: Gently scrub the area with the cleaning tool.
Suction: Release the spray trigger to suction up the dirty water and cleaning solution.
Repeat: Repeat steps 4-6 as needed until the stain is removed.
Indicator Lights: The machine may have indicator lights for power and water levels.
Using Specific Cleaning Tools
Your SpotClean comes with various tools for different cleaning tasks.
General Tool Usage:
Attach the appropriate tool to the wand.
Ensure the machine is powered on.
Spray the cleaning solution onto the stain by pressing the trigger.
Work the solution into the stain with the tool.
Release the trigger to activate suction and remove the moisture and dirt.
Rinsing the Tool: After use, detach the tool and rinse it thoroughly under running water. Ensure all cleaning solution residue is removed.
Cleaning the Nozzle: Periodically clean the nozzle of the tool to prevent clogs. This may involve rinsing under a faucet.
Note: Specific tools may have unique instructions detailed in supplementary materials or on the tool itself.
Emptying the Dirty Water Tank
The dirty water tank should be emptied after each use or when it is full.
Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power outlet.
Locate the dirty water tank. It is usually integrated into the main unit.
Carefully remove the dirty water tank from the machine. Be cautious as it may contain dirty water.
Empty the contents into a sink or toilet.
Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
Reinsert the clean and dry dirty water tank securely into the machine.
Tip: For best results, rinse the tank and lid after emptying.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your SpotClean.
After Each Use:
Empty and rinse the dirty water tank.
Rinse the clean water tank.
Clean the nozzle and any attached tools.
Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.
Deep Cleaning (Periodically):
Remove the brush roll (if applicable) and clean it.
Inspect the filter and clean or replace it as per specific model instructions.
Run a rinse cycle with clean water only to flush the internal hoses and nozzle.
Ensure the machine is completely dry before storing.

Storage
Store your BISSELL SpotClean in a cool, dry place.
Ensure the machine and all accessories are clean and completely dry.
Store the power cord neatly, either wrapped around the unit or in a designated storage area.
Store the machine upright to prevent leaks.
Keep out of reach of children and pets when not in use.
