This guide is aimed at providing support and guidance to SAVANT Integrators for achieving complete automation of ZigBee® and Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) motors with the Somfy TaHoma® switch. What does this Guide contain? The sections of this guide contain walkthroughs and methods of controlling Zigbee and RTS motors using the TaHoma® switch as the bridge between SAVANT and Smart Shading by Somfy. How should this Guide be used? This guide is intended to be used as a reference manual. 3 of 18 II. OVERVIEW The Somfy TaHoma® switch provides a single platform for Somfy Zigbee and RTS with a wide range of interior and exterior applications. · The TaHoma system supports up to 60 Zigbee motors (max. 50 WireFree), 10 smart plugs, 15 remotes, and 40 channels of RTS · Join up to 10 TaHoma switch hubs for multi-zone control (RTS only) · The TaHoma system supports a maximum of 40 scenes with schedules per install Each TaHoma switch is connected to Wi-Fi or directly to the local area network by an optional Ethernet adaptor for IP Integration with third-party control systems. TaHoma is compatible with the Somfy Synergy API. Details of this controller and commissioning instructions are available in the Somfy TaHoma pro Programming Guide. Using a small paper clip or similar, BRIEFLY PRESS the Programming Button on the head of the motor OR PLUG IN the battery supply/charger. The motor will jog (briefly move up and down), and the LED will illuminate GREEN for 2 seconds. The LED will blink AMBER continuously during programming. SYSTEM PREPARATION SOMFY SYSTEM A fully operational TaHoma system is required prior to SAVANT programming. The TaHoma system supports up to 60 Zigbee motors (max. 50 WireFree), 10 smart plugs, 15 remotes, and 40 channels of RTS. RTS devices programmed to an RTS channel will only receive commands from the associated TaHoma switch hub. Hubs must be placed within 25-35' of the devices they control. · Confirm with the Shade Commissioning Agent that the TaHoma switch firmware is up to date · An Integration Report is generated in the TaHoma app which will include the TaHoma switch PIN and IP address · Ensure that a DHCP Reservation via MAC Address of the TaHoma switch is being used · Third-Party Integration must first be enabled in the TaHoma app (see Appendix A) SAVANT SYSTEM A fully operational SAVANT system is required prior to TaHoma integration. · SAVANT programming should be complete including the System Host and network devices V. SET UP ADD TAHOMA PROFILE A Somfy TaHoma switch profile is required for each TaHoma switch installed. 1) SEARCH for and SELECT Somfy TaHoma in the Library 2) DRAG-AND-DROP the TaHoma Profile into the configuration 3) SELECT "Shared Equipment" Note: The component must be added to the Shared Equipment Zone. 4) ENTER a profile name in the Component Name field 5) SELECT "Choose" 6) REPEAT step 2 for each TaHoma switch installed 7 of 18 NETWORK SETUP Third-Party Integration must be enabled in the TaHoma app. Refer to the Integration Report for the TaHoma switch IP address. Ensure that a DHCP Reservation via MAC Address of the TaHoma switch is being used. Multiple TaHoma profiles need to be included for all TaHoma boxes in the same project. 1) SELECT "Ethernet" under Control Ports for the TaHoma Profile 2) SELECT "Network Device" and CHOOSE the Ethernet Port to use 3) ENTER the IP Address of the TaHoma, then SELECT "OK" 4) CONFIRM the TaHoma profiles added are connected to the Ethernet Ports of the Network Device 8 of 18 5) SELECT "Generate Services," then WAIT for the process to complete 6) SELECT "Upload to Master," then SELECT "Save and Upload," then WAIT for the Progress to complete 7) BROWSE for a file location, NAME the configuration file, then SELECT "Upload" 8) OPEN the System Monitor and ensure the Savant System Host is online NOTE: The upload is complete when the status circle changes from RED to GREEN. 9 of 18 REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TOKEN An Authorization Token is required for Third-Party Integration and must be enabled first in the TaHoma app (see Appendix A). An Authorization Token is required for each Somfy TaHoma profile installed. 1) CREATE a new service, SELECT "General Programmable Service Requests" 2) SELECT the "+" Button , ENTER "Create Token", then SELECT "Create" 3) DOUBLE-CLICK on the "Create Token" request added to the Service Requests 4) SEARCH for the shade controller 5) DOUBLE-CLICK on the "Shade_Blind Controller" to open it 6) In the Function drop-down, SELECT "Shade_controller" 7) In the Resource drop-down, SELECT "Custom" 8) In the Action drop-down, SELECT "TokenRefresh" 9) SELECT "File", then "Save", then CLOSE the service screens 10) SELECT "Generate Services", WAIT for the process to complete, then CLOSE the service screens 11) SELECT "File", then SELECT "Save As", then NAME the configuration and SELECT "Save" 10 of 18 12) SELECT "Service Events" 13) SELECT the Host device in the Service list 14) SELECT the "Create Token" in the Event drop-down list, then SELECT "Send Event" 15) SELECT "System State" 16) ENTER "token" in the Search field 17) COPY the appropriate value for the TaHoma Profile under the State Value column Note: If there are multiple TaHoma switch hubs, copy the correct Token for the applicable TaHoma. 11 of 18 18) OPEN the TaHoma Profile "Inspector Window" 19) SELECT "State Variables" in the Show drop-down, then Select "token" 20) PASTE the value copied in step 7 into the Initial Value field 21) FOLLOW steps 5-8 of the Network Setup section of this guide 12 of 18 ADD ZIGBEE PRODUCTS To add Zigbee devices, follow the steps below. Refer to the Integration Report for the TaHoma motor addresses (see Appendix A).
