2. NVR Introduction
The Network Video Recorder (NVR) is the central unit for your surveillance system.
NVR Ports Description:
- USB 2.0 Ports: For connecting USB devices like mice or external storage.
- VGA Port: For connecting to a monitor via VGA cable.
- HDMI Port: For connecting to a monitor via HDMI cable.
- LAN Port: For network connection to your router.
- Audio Out: For audio output.
- Power Input (DC 48-52V): Connect the power adapter here.
- PoE Ports (1-16): Power over Ethernet ports to connect IP cameras directly.
- Power Switch: [power] Turns the NVR on or off.

3. System Connection Guide
- Connect cameras to the PoE NVR using Ethernet cables (up to 18.3m).
- Connect the PoE NVR to your router with a 1m Ethernet cable.
- Connect the PoE NVR to a monitor using a VGA or HDMI cable.
- Connect the USB mouse to a USB 2.0 port.
- Connect the PoE NVR to the power outlet.
- Turn on the power switch [power] and view live footage.
- Surveillance images from the cameras will be displayed on the monitor in real-time.
[info] Note: To ensure proper device operation, it is recommended to power on the PoE NVR for testing before final installation.
4. Accessing the System via Smartphone or PC
4.1. Smartphone Access
Search for "ZOSI Smart" in the App Store or use a browser to scan the QR code below. Download and install the app, then follow the instructions to register an account.

5. NVR System Setup
5.1. Mouse Operation
Left Button:
- Preview/Playback Interface: Single click to select. Double-click on a single channel to enter full screen; double-click again to exit full screen.
- Menu Navigation: Click to select a menu option.
Right Button:
- Preview Interface: Click to bring up the main menu.
- Menu Navigation: Click to exit the menu or go back to the previous menu option.
5.2. Menu Bar Introduction
Right-click anywhere on the screen to open the menu.
- Single: Select a single channel for live view.
- Multi: Select multiple channels for live view.
- Start Dwell: Start/stop scanning.
- Color: Adjust color and image settings.
- E-Zoom: Zoom in on the preview interface.
- Audio: Adjust camera volume.
- PTZ: Control camera rotation.
- Snap: Capture and save live view images.
- Stop Recording: Start/stop recording.
- Playback: Search video playback and fast playback.
- Smart Alarm: Set human detection and sound/light alarms.
- IPC Channel Configuration: Manage IPC channel configuration.
- Main Menu: Access the main menu.
5.3. System Password
The default username is "admin" and the password is empty. Users can log in directly on the first connection.
6. Changing the Password
Navigate: Right-click [mouse] → Main Menu → Setup [settings] → Users → Change Password.
[info] Note: The new password must be at least 6 characters. Please keep your password secure.
7. Date and Time Settings
Navigate: Right-click [mouse] → Main Menu → Setup [settings] → Basic → Date and Time.
Select the time corresponding to your region and click "Apply" to save.
[info] Note: The default timezone is GMT; select the correct timezone for your region.
8. Video Playback
Navigate: Right-click [mouse] → Playback → Temporal Playback / Event Playback.
- Temporal Playback: Search videos by time.
- Event Playback: Search videos by event.
9. Backup
Insert a USB drive into the NVR PoE USB 2.0 [usb] port.
Navigate: Right-click [mouse] → Main Menu → Backup [backup].
- Select channels and time period.
- Click "Search".
- Select the video clips you wish to back up.
- Click "Apply".

10. Conditions of Use
- Use cameras only with compatible ZOSI NVRs.
- Read this guide carefully and keep it for future reference.
- Follow all instructions for safe product use and handle with care.
- Use the product within the temperature, humidity, and voltage limits indicated in the device specifications.
- Do not disassemble the product.
- Use only a regulated power adapter with the product (optional). Using an unregulated or non-compliant adapter may damage the product and void the warranty.
- Periodic cleaning may be necessary. Use only a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemical detergents.
- Do not use the product in a closed and humid environment. It is recommended to place the product in a well-ventilated location for installation.
- Do not disassemble the device while it is powered on.
