Maintenance Procedures
Replacing Pre-separation Pad
The pre-separation pad is a consumable part. Refer to the User's Guide for detailed replacement procedures.

Installation
The following steps are required to set up and connect your scanner to your computer:
- Unbox your scanner.
- Set up your scanner for the first time.
- Install driver software.
- Verify the scanner’s firmware.
- Optionally update the scanner’s firmware.
- Optionally install available Kodak scanning software.

Scanner Operation and Indicators (OCP TIPS)
Understanding the Operator Control Panel (OCP) indicators:
- Document count: Tracks the number of documents scanned.
- Paper Present Indicator: This icon is displayed when no paper is detected in the scanner.
- USB Connection: Indicates the scanner is connected to a computer via USB.
- Network Connection: Indicates the scanner is connected to the Wired Network.
When the "[tire icon]" appears on the scanner's touch screen, it indicates that cleaning the scanner or replacing consumables (such as rollers or tires) is recommended. Refer to "Maintenance", Section 5 of the User Guide for guidance. This icon is displayed only if one of the maintenance meters has expired.
