System Size Definitions and Mounting Options

Understanding the measurements is crucial for correct installation.

Diagram: Illustrates the rail components labeled S (Systemsize), RL (Rail Length), and BL (Belt Length).
  • W = Width: The overall width of the curtain or window opening.
  • S = Systemsize: The calculated size of the system, often determined by the installation context.
  • RL (Rail Length): The actual length of the rail, calculated as W – 13 cm.
  • BL (Belt Length): The length of the drive belt, calculated as S x 2.

Mounting Types

Inside Mount Diagram: Shows a curtain rail installed within a window frame. The system size (S) is calculated as W - 1 cm.

Inside mount: Systemsize (S) = Width (W) - 1 cm.

Outside Mount Diagram: Shows a curtain rail installed on the wall outside a window frame. The system size (S) is calculated as W.

Outside mount: Systemsize (S) = Width (W).

Rail Preparation and Measurement

This section details how to prepare the rail to the correct length.

Diagram: Illustrates cutting the rail to the required length using a saw. A tape measure is shown to ensure accuracy. A minimum length of 15 cm is indicated.

Minimum rail length: 15 cm.

Calculations for System Size:

  • Systemsize (S) = ________________ cm
  • RL (Rail Length) = S - 13 cm = ________________ cm (Total rail length)
  • BL (Belt Length) = S x 2 = ________________ cm
