Equipment Needed
A screwdriver is required for this procedure.
Description of a screwdriver: A tool with a handle and a shaft, typically with a shaped tip that fits into the head of a screw, used for turning screws.
Procedure
Step 1: Remove Screws
Using the screwdriver, remove the screws indicated in the image below. There are 16 screws in total.
Image Description: Two views of the chiller unit, highlighting the locations of 16 screws around the casing that need to be removed.
Step 2: Disconnect and Remove Cover
Disconnect the ground wire from the cover. Then, remove the cover.
Image Description: Left image shows a hand disconnecting a green ground wire from the chiller's side panel. Right image shows the chiller unit with the side cover removed, revealing internal components.
Step 3: Identify RESET Pins
Locate the RESET pins on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). It is recommended to take a picture of the "reset", "uv", and "heater" pins to remember the original jumper placement.
Image Description: A close-up view of a PCB with several pins clearly labeled: RESET, HEATER, NO, and UV. A red rectangle highlights the RESET and HEATER pins.
Step 4: Move the Jumper
Remove the jumper from the "Heater" or "UV" pins. Then, place the jumper on the RESET pins.
Image Description: Two images showing the PCB. The first image highlights the jumpers on the HEATER and UV pins. The second image shows the jumper moved from the UV pins to the RESET pins.
Step 5: Reassembly and Power Cycle
Reassemble the chiller: place the metal cover back in its original position and reconnect the ground wire to the metal fairing.
Connect the chiller to the power supply.
Turn on the chiller for 5 seconds, then turn it off.
Disconnect the chiller from the power supply.
Dismount the metal cover (refer to steps 1 and 2).
Move the jumper from the RESET pins back to its original position (as noted in step 3). The RESET pins will then be free (without a jumper).
Step 6: Final Reassembly
Reassemble the chiller: place the fairing back in its own place.
Ensure the ground wire is connected to the metal fairing.
ATTENTION: Connect the chiller to the power supply only after the metal fairing is in place and the water is circulating.
