Before transporting or moving this unit, carry out the following operations:
The microcomputer may malfunction (e.g., inability to operate, erroneous display) if connection cords are unplugged while the unit is ON or due to an external factor. To reset the microcomputer and restore normal condition, follow these steps:
Set the unit to STANDBY mode by pressing the ON/STANDBY (①/⑥) key. After a few seconds, turn the unit ON by pressing the ON/STANDBY (①) key again.
Please be aware that resetting the CD player will erase all stored information and return it to the factory settings.
To open the tray if it does not come out:
A diagram illustrates this process, showing a screwdriver inserted into a hole on the mechanism assembly, pushing a gear, and an arrow indicating the tray being pulled out.
The block diagram illustrates the internal electronic connections of the DPF-1010/1010E/2010/2010E Compact Disc Player. Key components and their interconnections are as follows:
The diagram shows the flow of signals from the pickup unit through servo and signal processing, controlled by the microcomputer, to the display and audio output sections, all powered by the transformer.

This CD system incorporates automatic adjustment functions. Therefore, when the pickup is replaced, readjustment is not necessary. Since this CD unit does not require adjustment, the combination of FPWB and laser pickup unit is not restricted.
The following items are automatically adjusted:
These automatic adjustments are performed each time a disc is changed, ensuring optimal playback settings for each disc.
Figure 4 shows checking points for T/E BALANCE (Pin 7 of IC-1), T/O (Pin 15 of IC-1), and F/O (Pin 16 of IC-1) with associated resistors (R5, R13, R14) and Q201.
This section provides an exploded view of the CD player's mechanism, detailing its components and their assembly. Parts with exploded numbers larger than 700 are not supplied.
The diagram shows the main mechanical components, including:
Screw Specifications:
The diagram illustrates how these components fit together, with numbered parts indicating specific items and letters indicating screw types and locations (e.g., Bx2, Gx2, Ax2, Ex2, Cx4).
This section provides a component side view of the main PC board, illustrating the layout of various electronic components. The board includes sections for SYSTEM CONTROL, DIGITAL OUT, and OUTPUT.
Key areas and components visible on the board include:

The audio output section with IC101 (Op Amp) and associated components is also shown, leading to the RCA and digital output jacks.
CAUTION: For continued safety, replace safety critical components only with manufacturer's recommended parts (refer to parts list). ▲ indicates safety critical components. For continued protection against risk of fire, replace only with same type and rating fuse(s). To reduce the risk of electric shock, leakage-current or resistance measurements shall be carried out (exposed parts are acceptably insulated from the supply circuit) before the appliance is returned to the customer.
The DC voltage is an actual reading measured with a high impedance type voltmeter. The measurement value may vary depending on the measuring instruments used or on the product. Refer to the voltage during PLAY unless otherwise specified; The value shown in () is the voltage measured at the moment of STOP.
This section provides an exploded view of the entire CD player unit, illustrating how the various assemblies and components fit together. Parts with exploded numbers larger than 700 are not supplied.
