WARNINGS
General Safety: For safe operation, read and understand the instruction manual. Do not expose to water or operate on wet ground. Replace damaged parts immediately. Disconnect and remove battery prior to servicing. Remove the battery pack before servicing or removing the blade. Do not reach under blade guard. Go across slopes, not up and down. Do not operate within 100 ft. of people or animals. Do not mow when children or others are around. Keep safety devices (guards, shields, switches, etc.) in place and working. Look down and behind before and while moving backwards. Remove objects that could be thrown by the blade. To reduce the risk of eye injury, wear safety glasses. Meet CPSC blade safety requirements. Use only SUMEC 120V Li-ion battery YOL120BAT2.5 and SUMEC battery charger YOL120CGR.
Safety Symbols: Symbols are used to attract attention to possible dangers. They are not a substitute for proper accident prevention measures. Always read and understand all safety instructions, including symbols like "DANGER," "WARNING," and "CAUTION." Failure to follow instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

General Safety Rules for Lawn Mower:
Avoid dangerous environments: do not use in damp or wet locations or in rain.
Keep children and bystanders away from the work area.
Dress properly: do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Use rubber gloves and footwear.
Use safety glasses. Use a face or dust mask if operation is dusty.
Use the right tool for the job.
Do not force the mower; it works best at its designed rate.
Maintain proper footing and balance; stay alert and do not operate when tired.
Disconnect battery pack when not in use, before cleaning, servicing, or changing accessories.
Store the mower indoors in a dry, locked place, out of reach of children.
Maintain the mower with care: keep cutting edges sharp and clean.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Keep guards in place and in working order.
Keep blades sharp.
Keep hands and feet away from the cutting area.
Clear the lawn of all objects before mowing.
If the mower strikes a foreign object: stop, unplug battery, inspect for damage, and repair before restarting.
Use only identical replacement blades and genuine spare parts.
Training and Preparation:
Read and understand all instructions.
Never allow children or unfamiliar persons to use the product.
Never operate near people, children, or pets.
Operator is responsible for accidents or hazards.
Wear substantial footwear and long trousers; do not operate barefoot or in open sandals.
Thoroughly inspect the area and remove objects that can be thrown.
Visually inspect the blade, blade bolt, and assembly for wear or damage.
General Operation:
Use only designated battery packs.
Operate in daylight or good artificial light.
Do not expose the tool and charger to rain or wet conditions.
Avoid operating in wet grass.
Ensure proper footing on slopes; walk, never run.
Mow across slopes, never up and down. Exercise caution when changing direction.
Do not mow excessively steep slopes.
Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the product towards you.
Stop the blade(s) if tilting for transportation or crossing non-grass surfaces.
Never operate with defective guards or without safety devices.
Switch on the motor carefully with feet away from the blade(s).
Do not tilt the product more than necessary when starting.
Do not start the machine in front of the discharge opening.
Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts.
Do not transport the product while the cutting blade is running.
Switch off and remove the key/battery pack before leaving the product, clearing blockages, checking, cleaning, or working on the product, or after striking a foreign object.
If the product vibrates abnormally, inspect for damage, replace/repair parts, and tighten loose parts.
Mower Overload Protection: If the mower is overloaded, the motor will stop. Switch off the mower, remove the battery, check for grass buildup under the deck, clear if necessary, and restart.
Battery High Temperature Protection: If the battery temperature exceeds 158°F during operation, the protection circuit will turn off the mower. Release the bail handle, wait for the battery to cool, then restart.
Charger Safety: Recharge only with the specified charger. Do not use the charger on other batteries. Check the charger, cable, and plug before use. Do not open the charger. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Keep the charger clean and protect it from rain and moisture. Do not operate on flammable surfaces. The charging temperature range is 41°F to 113°F.
Battery Pack Safety: The Li-ion battery pack is not fully charged at the factory. Recharge before first use. Recharge when power is insufficient. Do not charge below 41°F or above 113°F. Protect the battery pack against heat. Do not carry battery packs in pockets or bags where they can short-circuit. If a battery starts a fire, do not use water; use a fire extinguisher. If the battery pack becomes too hot during charging, disconnect and contact Yard Force. Do not open the battery pack. Keep battery packs away from metal objects when not in use.
Residual Risks: Health defects from vibration, injuries from broken tools or hidden objects, and danger from flying objects can still occur.
Electromagnetic Field: This product produces an electromagnetic field that may interfere with medical implants. Consult a doctor before operating if you have a medical implant.

Notice
- Remove everything from the bag except the lawn mower.
- Open carton completely by cutting each corner from top to bottom.
- Remove the lawn mower from the carton.

Intended Use
This cordless lawn mower is intended for use in maintaining residential lawns only. Any other use is considered misuse, and the user/operator, not the manufacturer, is liable for any damage or injuries. This equipment is not designed for commercial, trade, or industrial applications. Warranty is voided if used for such purposes.
Assembly
Unfold the Handle
- Rotate the handle quick release levers to release the operation handle (See Figure 5).
- Rotate the handle and position the lower handle lock pin into the mower bracket at one of the three angle positions (See Figure 6).
- Lock the handle in place by closing the quick release levers, ensuring it is securely locked (See Figure 7).
Fitting Cable Clips
Locate the cable into the cable clip and then clip it securely to the handle (See Figure 8).
Assemble Grass Bag and Fit onto Mower
- Locate the grass bag to attach to the mower (See Figure 9).
- Insert the grass bag onto the hooks. Release the rear flap to secure the grass bag in position (See Figure 10).
Installing the Mulching Plug
NOTE: Switch off the tool, ensure the blade has stopped, and remove the battery completely before proceeding.
- Lift the rear flap with one hand and push the mulching plug into the rear discharge chute until it locks in place (See Figure 11).
- Release the rear flap; it will close to cover the mulching plug.
To remove the mulching plug, hold its handle, press down the hook with your finger, lift slightly, and pull it out.
Installing the Side Discharge Chute
NOTE: Switch off the tool, ensure the blade has stopped, and remove the battery completely before proceeding.
- The mulching plug should be installed as described above.
- Lift the side discharge cover with one hand and hook the side discharge chute into place with the other hand (See Figure 12).
- Release the side discharge cover to secure the chute (See Figure 13).
Set Required Function
WARNING! Before changing any accessory, switch off the tool, ensure the blade has stopped, and remove the battery completely.
NOTE: This lawn mower has three functions: Collection, Mulching, and Side Discharge. These can be converted by changing accessory settings.

Information:
- Collection: Grass is cut and collected in the grass bag.
- Mulching: Grass is cut into small pieces to degrade and fertilize the lawn.
- Side discharge: Grass is cut and distributed to the side of the machine.
Adjustment
WARNING: Never operate the cutting height adjustment handle roughly. Switch off the tool and ensure the blade has stopped completely.
Adjust the Cutting Height
The cutting height is centrally adjusted using the cutting height adjustment handle. Select desired heights by:
- Pulling the adjusting handle outwards (See Figure 15).
- Moving it forwards or backwards to select the desired cutting height.
- Returning the adjusting handle to the plate, ensuring the lever is secured.
Cutting height ranges from 1.25" to 4" across 7 positions.
Adjust the Self-Propelled Speed
This mower features a self-propelled function with 5 speeds, ranging from 1.75 MPH to 3 MPH. Adjust the speed by moving the speed adjustment lever forwards or backwards to the desired position (See Figure 14).
Operation
To Insert the Battery Pack
- Open the battery pack cover and hold it in place (See Figure 16).
- Align the battery pack's groove with the receptacle's ribs.
- Depress the battery pack firmly until it locks into place (ensure the battery handle is folded down).
- Repeat for a second battery pack if applicable.
- Close the cover.
WARNING: Make sure the tool is "POWER OFF" before inserting the battery.
NOTE: The tool can operate normally with only one battery pack.
Battery Pack Operation (See Figure 27)
- Press the power indicator button to check remaining power (green LEDs).
- A flashing red LED indicates low power, over-discharge, or a fault.
- A flashing red LED also indicates the battery pack is too hot; cool for 10-20 minutes.
- During charging, the battery's 4 green LEDs flash, and the charger's green LED flashes continuously while the red LED remains on.
To Remove the Battery Pack from the Tool
- Open the battery pack cover and hold it in place.
- Press the battery pack release button; the battery pack will spring out automatically (See Figure 17).
- Lift the carrying handle and remove the battery pack.
Safety Key
The machine is fitted with a safety key to prevent accidental starting. Removing the key totally disables the mower (See Figure 18). If the safety key is lost or broken, contact Yard Force service at 866-902-9690.
To Switch ON
- Depress and hold the power ON/OFF button for 2 seconds until the green LED lights up, indicating the tool is powered on normally (See Figure 19).
- Depress the safety lock button and keep it in place.
- Pull the blade-Stop/Start lever towards the handle and hold it. The motor will start, and the blade will rotate. Release the safety lock button.
- During operation, if the battery capacity becomes low, the Power ON/OFF button LED will turn red.
Battery Packs Transfer
If two battery packs are installed, one will power off automatically when depleted. The mower will continue running on the second pack until its power is low (indicated by a flashing red LED). Release the blade Stop/Start lever to switch power to the other battery pack. The Power ON/OFF button LED will turn green again.
CAUTION!
- Do not start the motor in tall grass.
- Ensure the battery pack and safety key are correctly installed before starting.
- Remove stones, wood pieces, and other objects from the cutting area before operating.
To Switch OFF
- Release the blade-Stop/Start lever.
- Depress and hold the center of the power ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. The LED will turn RED. Release the button; the red LED will flash three times and turn off.
- If the mower is powered ON but not operated for 3 minutes, the power button LED will flash for 3 seconds, and the mower will power off automatically.
WARNING: The blade will continue to rotate for 3-5 seconds after the mower is switched off.
Use the Self-Propelled Function
This unit is equipped with a self-propelled system that can be used independently or with the cutting blade.
Use Self-Propelled Function Without Blade Rotation
- Turn the power ON/OFF button ON.
- Push the self-propelled switch lever towards the handle and hold it. The mower will start moving automatically (See Figure 21). Adjust speed using the speed adjustment lever (See Figure 14).
- To stop, release the self-propelled switch lever.
Use Self-Propelled Function With Blade for Cutting
- Start the mower as previously described.
- While holding the blade-Stop/Start lever, engage the self-propelled switch lever. The machine will start moving automatically.
- Adjust the self-propelled speed-adjustment lever to the desired driving speed.
Operate the Lawn Mower
Operation on a Slope
Slopes are a major factor in slip-and-fall accidents.
WARNING: Always ensure good footing on slopes. Exercise extra caution. If uneasy, do not mow the slope.
- DO: Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction. Watch for holes, ruts, rocks, hidden objects, or bumps. Tall grass can hide obstacles.
- DO NOT: Mow near drop-offs or embankments. Do not mow slopes greater than 15 degrees. Do not mow on wet grass.
Mower Overload Protection
To prevent overload, do not cut too much grass at once. Slow down your pace or raise the cutting height. The mower has built-in overload circuit protection. If overloaded, the motor will stop. Switch off the mower, remove the battery, check for grass buildup under the deck, clear if necessary, and restart.
Battery High Temperature Protection
The battery pack generates heat during operation. If the battery temperature exceeds 158°F, the protection circuit will turn off the mower. Release the bail handle, wait for the battery to cool, then restart.
Function of Grass Bag Full Indicator
- If the grass bag is empty, the indicator is open (See Figure 22).
- If the grass bag is full, the indicator is closed (See Figure 22).
Emptying the Grass Bag
When the grass bag full indicator starts to close, it's time to empty the bag.
NOTE: Switch OFF the power and wait for the blade to stop before removing the bag.
- Lift the ejector flap with one hand and grab the carry handle with the other. The flap automatically closes off the rear chute opening when the bag is removed.
- Empty the grass debris from the bag and refit it.
NOTE: If grass residue is caught in the discharge chute, clean it with a brush. Do not use hands or feet. Use suitable tools like a brush or broom. Ensure the discharge opening and chute are clear of blockages for proper collection.
Maintenance and Storage
WARNING: Before any maintenance or cleaning, ensure the battery pack/safety key is removed and the blade has stopped completely and the tool has cooled down.
Cleaning
- Use a soft brush to remove dust and debris. Wear safety glasses.
- Wipe the product enclosure with a slightly damp cloth. Do not spray with water, as it may damage the switch unit and electric motor.
Maintenance
NOTE: Always wear gardening gloves when handling or working near sharp blades.
- Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight for safe working condition.
- Check the grass bag frequently for wear or deterioration.
- Examine the machine and replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
Removing/Installing the Blade (See Figures 23 & 24)
- Use a wrench of the correct size on the blade bolt nut.
- Hold the blade fixed with heavy gloves and turn the wrench counter-clockwise to remove the bolt.
- Fit the replacement blade correctly with the marking facing up, align pegs, fit the bolt, and retighten securely to 36-43 Ft. Lb.
WARNING! Replace or re-sharpen the mowing blade at the end of the mowing season. Always have the blade re-sharpened or replaced by a customer service center for balancing. Unbalanced blades can cause violent vibration and risk of accident!
Battery Maintenance
- Protect the battery against moisture and water.
- Store the battery in a temperature range of 32°F to 113°F. Do not leave it in direct sunlight.
- Clean the battery occasionally with a soft, clean, dry brush.
- If not using the product for a long time, charge and discharge the battery pack once every 6 months.
Storage and Transport
After cleaning, store the unit in a dry room and allow the motor to cool down.
- Release the handle quick release levers and fold the handles down.
- Position the lower handle lock pin into the mower bracket. Lock the handles by closing the quick release handle.
- The machine can be stored flat (See Figure 25).
NOTE: Remove the safety key and battery packs. Ensure cables are not trapped when folding/unfolding the handle. If stored vertically, position it in a corner facing a wall and ensure it is secure to prevent falling.
Transport: Use original packaging for shipping whenever possible.
Troubleshooting
WARNING: Before performing any repair, ensure the battery pack/safety key is removed and the blade has stopped completely and the tool has cooled down.
WARNING: Always wear heavy duty gloves when adjusting or cleaning, especially when handling sharp objects.

Warranty
Product Warranty
Keep your original purchase receipt as proof of purchase. Warranty coverage is verified by the original receipt. The warranty period begins on the date of original retail purchase from an authorized retailer. Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Warranty is valid only for products purchased and operated in the USA.
Warranty Periods
- Five-Year Warranty: Yard Force Outdoor Power Equipment against defects in material or workmanship.
- Three-Year Warranty: 120vRX Battery Pack and Charger against defects in material or workmanship.
This warranty does not cover accidental damage, unreasonable use, normal wear and tear, neglect, or non-compliance with instructions. Service must be performed by an authorized service technician. Unauthorized service or modifications void the warranty. Only manufacturer-approved parts and accessories may be used.
Ninety-Day Warranty - Accessories
Accessories like the blade, side discharge chute, and mulching plug are warranted against manufacturer defects for residential use for 90 days from purchase. This warranty does not cover loss of use or consequential damages, nor repairs attempted by unauthorized persons. Commercial, rental, or industrial use voids this warranty.
Service and Warranty Claims Process
- Contact the Yard Force Support Center toll-free at (866) 902-9690 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time) for troubleshooting and support.
- If service or inspection is needed, provide proof-of-purchase and serial number.
- Yard Force will provide an RGA number for all communications and shipments.
- All shipments to Yard Force must have the RGA number clearly marked on the outside of the box.
- Shipments must be pre-paid. Yard Force is not responsible for lost packages. Use a carrier with tracking and delivery confirmation.
