Argo Tech Tower Ceramic Fan Heater
This document provides instructions for the safe operation and maintenance of the Argo Tech Tower ceramic fan heater.
General Safety Information
- Use the heater only as described in this manual.
- Ensure the electrical supply matches the heater's specifications (220-240V~/50-60 Hz).
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, provided they are supervised or have received instruction on safe use and understand the associated dangers.
- Children should not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
- This product is not a toy. Children under 3 years old should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Children aged 3 to 8 years should only switch the appliance on or off if it has been placed or installed in its normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instructions on how to use the appliance safely and understand the dangers.
- Children aged 3 to 8 years must not insert the plug, adjust, or clean the appliance or carry out user maintenance.
- CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention must be paid in the presence of children and vulnerable persons.
- To avoid risks from unintentional resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be powered through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the supply.
- WARNING: Do not use the fan heater with a programmer or any other external device that automatically switches it on, as there is a risk of fire if the fan heater is covered or improperly positioned.
- Do not block the air inlet and outlet grilles.
- The fan heater heats up considerably during operation, posing a burn risk. Avoid direct skin contact with hot surfaces.
- Keep flammable materials such as furniture, cushions, blankets, paper, clothing, curtains, or other items at least 1 meter away from the front, sides, and rear of the appliance.
- Unplug the power cord when not in use or for cleaning.
- Do not use the fan heater in dusty environments or in the presence of flammable vapors (e.g., in a workshop or garage).
- Do not place anything on the appliance. Do not hang wet clothes on the fan heater.
- Use the fan heater in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not insert fingers or objects into the air inlet and outlet grilles, as this could cause electric shock, fire, or damage to the fan heater.
- To prevent fire risks, do not block or tamper with the grilles while the fan heater is in operation.
- Do not use the appliance if the wires or plugs are damaged. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its technical assistance service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk.
- Do not use the fan heater if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Contact an assistance center to have the fan heater checked or to have any electrical or mechanical repairs carried out.
- The most frequent cause of overheating is dust accumulation inside the appliance. After unplugging the appliance, remove accumulated dust by cleaning the grille with a vacuum cleaner.
- Do not use abrasive products to clean the appliance. Clean it with a soft, damp cloth (not wet) with soapy water. Remove the plug from the power outlet before any maintenance operation.
- To disconnect the fan heater, turn the switch to the OFF position and unplug the plug from the socket. Pull only on the plug. Do not pull the cord to turn off the heater.
- Do not place anything on the cord or bend it.
- The use of extension cords is not recommended as they may overheat and pose a fire risk. Never use a single extension cord to power multiple appliances.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any other part of the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
- Do not place the fan heater on or near another heat source.
- WARNING: DO NOT COVER THE FAN HEATER TO AVOID OVERHEATING.
- Fire hazard if the fan heater is covered or in contact with flammable materials during operation, including curtains, draperies, blankets, etc. KEEP THE FAN HEATER AT A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THESE MATERIALS.
- Do not connect the fan heater to the power supply until it has been correctly assembled or positioned.
- Do not run the cable under carpets. Do not cover the cable with blankets, rugs, or other items. Position the cable away from walkways and in a place where it is not at risk of being accidentally unplugged.
- Do not use the fan heater near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or swimming pools.
- Do not use in bathrooms.
- The heater must not be placed directly below a power socket.
- Do not use outdoors.
- On first use, the fan heater may emit a slight, harmless odor. This is a normal consequence of the initial heating of the internal heating elements and should not occur again.
- ATTENTION: THE ON/OFF SWITCH DOES NOT SUFFICE TO CUT OFF THE POWER SUPPLY. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE WHEN NOT IN USE, WHEN MOVING IT, OR WHEN PERFORMING MAINTENANCE.
- Some parts inside the fan heater may cause electric arcs or sparks. Therefore, do not use it in potentially dangerous areas such as fire or explosion risk areas, or in environments saturated with chemicals or high humidity.
- Do not use the appliance on soft surfaces such as a bed, where the grilles could be obstructed. Always place the fan heater on a stable, flat surface during operation to prevent it from tipping over. Position the cable so that the fan heater or other objects do not risk crushing it.
- Always unplug the plug when the appliance is not in use.
- To avoid any risk of accidents, do not operate the appliance unattended.
- In case of anomalies (abnormal noise or strange odor), turn off the appliance immediately, do not attempt to repair it yourself, and take it to the nearest after-sales service center.
Assembly Instructions
BASE ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE:
- Assemble the two parts of the base together (Fig. 1).
- Fix the assembled base with the screws to the product (Fig. 2).
Place the fan heater on a flat, stable surface. Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet (220-240 V~/50-60 Hz). Press the power button located on the back of the product.
Control Panel and Remote Control
The control panel and remote control allow you to operate the fan heater. The remote control uses a CR2025-3 V Lithium/Manganese button cell battery.
1. ON/OFF BUTTON AND MODE SELECTION
Press or touch the ON/OFF button on the control panel or remote control. A beep will sound, and the current ambient temperature will be displayed on the screen. The fan heater will enter standby mode.
Mode Selection:
- Pressing this button once activates COMFORT heating mode (2000 W), indicated by the LED lights on the screen.
- Pressing this button twice activates ECO heating mode (1400 W), indicated by the LED lights on the screen.
- Pressing this button three times activates cold ventilation mode, indicated by the LED on the screen.
- Pressing this button four times puts the appliance into standby mode.
2. SWING BUTTON
Press this button on the control panel or remote control to activate the product's horizontal oscillation. The ✔ LED will light up on the control panel. To deactivate the oscillation function, press this button again.
3. TEMPERATURE SETTING BUTTON (
Press this button on the control panel to set the desired temperature from 15°C to 40°C. Each press increases the temperature by 1°C. The ℃ LED will light up on the screen.
After setting the temperature, the selected temperature will flash on the screen for 3 seconds, then the ambient temperature will be displayed. When the set temperature is reached, the appliance will automatically switch to ventilation mode, reducing the airflow to a minimum.
4. TIMER BUTTON
Press the TIMER button on the control panel or remote control to select the operating range in the following circular sequence: 0h (disable timer), 1h, 2h, 3h... up to 24 hours. The LED will light up on the screen. Each time you press the button, the setting interval will be 1 hour. If no other selection is made within 3 seconds, an audible signal will sound, and the screen will display the current ambient temperature.
Safety Devices
ANTI-OVERHEATING DEVICE: The appliance is equipped with a safety device that turns it off in case of overheating. If the safety device has activated, turn off the fan heater, unplug the appliance, and let it cool down completely. Check for any obstructions at the air inlet or outlet and try to restart it. If it does not work or if the safety device turns it off again, take the fan heater to the nearest service center for inspection or repair.
ANTI-TILT SAFETY DEVICE: This appliance is equipped with a safety device that cuts off the fan heater in case of accidental tipping. To reset it, unplug the appliance from the power outlet for a few minutes, remove the cause of the tipping, and plug the appliance back in. If the problem persists, contact a service center for inspection and repair.
Remote Control Battery Management
When using the remote control for the first time, remove the protective plastic film. Use a CR2025-3 V Lithium/Manganese button cell battery. The battery is supplied with the product; when first used, remove the plastic tab inserted in the remote control to enable its operation.
HOW TO INSERT/REMOVE THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY:
Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control, press down and pull the cover straight out (A). Insert the battery into the cover, ensuring the correct polarity (B). Reinsert the cover into the remote control.
BATTERY WARNINGS:
- Batteries must not be exposed to heat sources such as fire, sun, or similar sources.
- Remove batteries if they start to heat up or if you know you will not be using the appliance for a long time.
- Batteries must be installed correctly in the appropriate battery compartment.
- When removing batteries because they are damaged or at the end of their life, dispose of them in accordance with national regulations.
- In case of battery fluid leakage, remove all batteries, preventing the leaked fluid from coming into contact with skin or clothing. If battery fluid comes into contact with skin or clothing, wash immediately with water. Before inserting new batteries, carefully clean the battery compartment with a paper towel or follow the battery manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning.
- Warning: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Use and replace batteries of the same size and type only.
- Improper use of batteries can cause fluid leakage, overheating, or explosion. This fluid is corrosive and can be toxic. It can cause skin and eye burns and is harmful if swallowed.
To reduce the risk of injury:
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Do not heat, open, puncture, cut, or dispose of batteries in fire.
- Do not mix new and old batteries or batteries of different types.
- Do not allow metal objects to come into contact with the battery terminals, as they may heat up and/or cause burns.
INFORMATION FOR CORRECT BATTERY DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH REGULATION (EU) 2023/1542.
Replace the battery when it is discharged: at the end of its useful life, this battery must not be disposed of with household waste. It must be deposited in a local selective collection bin or with a retailer that provides this service. Correct disposal of batteries helps preserve the environment and human health, and allows for the recovery and recycling of their components, leading to significant savings in energy and resources. The symbol of a crossed-out waste bin on the battery serves as a reminder that it must be selectively collected. Non-compliant disposal of the product by the user will result in the application of administrative sanctions provided for by current legislation.
Cleaning and Maintenance
ATTENTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING OR PERFORMING MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT IMMERSE THE CERAMIC FAN HEATER IN WATER.
Cleaning the exterior surface of the appliance:
Use a soft cloth to remove dust from the fan heater. If the fan heater is excessively dirty, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a neutral detergent at a temperature below 50°C. Allow to dry completely before using the fan heater. Do not use corrosive detergents or solvents such as gasoline. Do not wash the appliance with water. For cleaning, do not use oils, chemical substances, or other objects that may damage its surface. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the air inlet and outlet grilles.
STORAGE:
During periods of non-use, store the appliance in its original box, with this notice, in a cool, dry place.

WARNING FOR CORRECT PRODUCT DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU
At the end of its life, this equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. The product must be returned to one of the local selective collection centers or to retailers providing this service. Separate disposal of electrical and electronic equipment prevents potential negative impacts on the environment and human health resulting from incorrect disposal and allows for the recovery of its components for significant savings in energy and resources. To remind users of the obligation to dispose of this equipment separately, the product bears the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin.
