TADAR Soda Glass Bowls: Usage and Safety Instructions
1. Intended Use
The soda-glass bowl is designed for food contact and can be used for storage, serving, and food preparation. It is not intended for use on a direct source of heat (e.g., gas stove, hob) or as a baking tray in the oven.
2. Use
Before First Use
Wash the bowl in warm water with a mild detergent and dry with a soft cloth.
During Use
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a cold bowl in hot water or pouring boiling liquid into a cold bowl. This can cause cracking or weakening of the glass structure.
Cutting
Do not cut directly on the surface. Soda glass is resistant to damage but can be scratched by cutting directly on the surface with a knife.
3. Cleaning and Care
Cleaning
Can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher using mild detergents. Avoid abrasive cleaners which may scratch the surface.
Drying
Dry the bowl after washing to prevent scaling and streaking.
Storage
Stack bowls carefully to avoid stressing each other, which can lead to breakage.
4. Safety Tips
Children
Bowls should only be used by children under adult supervision. They can break if dropped, creating a risk of injury.
Older and Disabled People
Ensure a firm grip on the bowl. People with limited grip strength should choose ergonomically shaped bowls that are easier to hold.
Damage
Check the bowl regularly for cracks or chipping. If damaged, discontinue use to avoid the risk of injury and glass splinters getting into food.
5. Temperature Resistance and Kitchen Use
Temperature Resistance
Soda glass can withstand moderate temperature changes, but is not suitable for direct heating on the stove or in the oven. It can be used in microwave ovens if permitted by the manufacturer.
Freezing
Can be used to store food in the fridge and freezer, but sudden transfer from the freezer to a warm environment may cause cracking.
