Configuring Your Gateway
1. Add a Wireless Device to the Gateway
To connect a wireless device, use your phone or tablet to scan the QR code on the side of the gateway. Follow steps 3 and 4 to access the Web Management Interface and make Wi-Fi changes. If unable to scan the QR code, locate the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password on the gateway's label and enter this information manually into your device.
2. Add a Wired Device to the Gateway
To connect a wired device (e.g., PC, laptop), connect an Ethernet cable between your device and a gateway Ethernet port. Then, follow step 3 to access the Web Management Interface.
3. Access the Web Management Interface
Using a device connected to the gateway (from Step 1 or 2), open a web browser (e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge) and type the address: http://192.168.1.254. You will see a web interface. If you attempt to change settings, you will be prompted for the Device Access Code, found on the product label on the base of the gateway. Enter the code and select "Continue" to make changes.
Description of Access Code Required Page: The "Access Code Required" page prompts the user to enter the Device Access Code, which is printed on the side or bottom of the gateway. It includes an input field for the code and a "Continue" button.
4. Make Changes to the Wi-Fi Network Name/Password
From the web interface (Step 3), navigate to the Wi-Fi section. Modify the SSID (network name) and/or password, then select "Apply" to save changes.
5. Disable the Wi-Fi Network
In the web interface, go to the Wi-Fi section. Disable the Wi-Fi network and select "Apply" to confirm.
