Installation Steps
Step 1: Desk Clamp or Grommet Installation
Desk Clamp Installation:
- Assemble the desk clamp mechanism. Attach the desk clamp base (C) to the aluminum base plate (B) using the provided M4x30 screws (B).
- Position the clamp assembly on the edge of your desk. Adjust the clamp's height by selecting the appropriate hole position on the base plate (B) to ensure a secure fit.
- Loosen the clamp's securing screws (M6x12, part D). Slide the clamp onto the desk edge or through a pre-drilled hole.
- Tighten the clamp screws firmly against the desk surface until the mount is securely fastened. Ensure the desk area gripped by the clamp is even and flat.
Grommet Installation:
- If using a grommet hole, insert the central bolt (part of the grommet assembly) through the desk hole.
- Secure the bolt using the grommet mount plate (D) and the clamp mechanism underneath the desk.
- Tighten the clamp mechanism until the mount is firmly attached.
Step 2: Attaching the Monitor to the Arm
Important Safety Note: The gas spring arm is pre-set for a 6.5kg monitor. When removing the arm from packaging, hold the folded arm tightly and open it slowly. Remove any cable ties and allow the arm to rebound gradually. Beware of sudden spring-back.
Flush Surface Installation:
- Install the upper two VESA screws (A, M4x12) into the monitor's mounting holes, but do not tighten them fully. Leave some space.
- Hang the monitor onto the monitor arm's headplate.
- Install the lower two VESA screws (A, M4x12) and then securely fasten the upper two screws.
Recessed Surface Installation:
- Place spacers (C, 12x5.8x16) between the monitor's mounting holes and the monitor arm's headplate.
- Install the upper two VESA screws (A, M4x12) through the spacers and headplate into the monitor, but do not tighten them fully. Leave some space.
- Hang the monitor onto the monitor arm's headplate.
- Install the lower two VESA screws (A, M4x12) and then securely fasten the upper two screws.
Step 3: Cable Management
Insert cables into the integrated cable covers along the arm. Ensure sufficient cable slack is provided at the arm joints to allow for full monitor movement and adjustment.
Step 4: Adjustments
Height Tension Adjustment:
Use a hex wrench to adjust the height tension of the gas spring arm. This allows the arm to hold monitors of different weights steady in any position.
- If the monitor droops after installation, adjust the force towards the "+" arrow direction (clockwise).
- If the monitor automatically rises after installation, adjust the force towards the "-" arrow direction (counter-clockwise).
- Important: Keep the arm in a horizontal position during adjustment for easier handling.
Tilt Tension Adjustment:
Use a hex wrench to adjust the damping for tilting. Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise to reduce damping (making tilting easier) and clockwise to increase damping (making tilting stiffer).
