Connecting the Handset and Base

  1. Insert the coiled cord's end into the socket on the side of the base and the other end into the socket at the bottom of the handset.
  2. Insert the telephone cord into the socket marked with a phone symbol [?] on the underside of the base.

Using the Phone

Making Calls

Call Waiting

You can put a caller on hold. Both you and the caller will hear hold music. Press the [HOLD] button during a call. Press [HOLD] again to resume the call.

Redialing a Number

The last dialed number is stored (up to 32 digits). Lift the handset and press the redial button [↩️], or press and hold the redial button to scroll through the last 5 numbers. Lift the handset or press the speakerphone button [?] to dial the displayed number.

Redial List

The last 5 dialed numbers are stored (up to 32 digits each). Press the redial list button [↩️], then press and hold to scroll to the desired number. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to scroll quickly. Lift the handset or press the speakerphone button [?] to dial.

Memory Functions

You can store up to ten two-touch memory numbers (up to 16 digits each).

Storing a Number (Handset on Base)

  1. Dial the number to be stored.
  2. Press [SET].
  3. Press a number key (0-9) to store the number.

Storing a Number (Handset Off Base)

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press [SET].
  3. Dial the number to be stored.
  4. Press [SET].
  5. Press a number key (0-9).

Storing a Number from the Call List (Handset on Base)

  1. Press the call list button [?].
  2. Scroll to the desired number.
  3. Press [SET].
  4. Press a number key (0-9).

Storing a Number from the Call List (Handset Off Base)

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the call list button [?].
  3. Scroll to the desired number.
  4. Press [SET].
  5. Press a number key (0-9).

Dialing a Two-Touch Memory Number (Handset Off Base)

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press [Memory].
  3. Press a number key (0-9). The stored number will be dialed.

Dialing a Two-Touch Memory Number via Speakerphone

  1. Press [Memory].
  2. Press a number key (0-9).
  3. Press the speakerphone button [?].
  4. The stored number will be dialed. Lift the handset to speak once the call is answered.

Note: Remember to write down your stored numbers for quick reference.

Ringer Settings

Setting the Ringer

  1. Press [HOLD]. The currently selected ringer will play.
  2. Press the up/down arrows [⬆️]/[⬇️] to scroll and select the desired ringer. A sample of the ringer will play.
  3. Press [SET] to confirm and return to standby mode.

Setting the Ringer Volume

  1. With the handset on the base, press the speakerphone button [?]. The display will show the current volume level (1-4) or [CrESC] for crescendo mode.
  2. Press and hold the speakerphone button [?] to select the desired volume.
  3. Press [SET] to confirm and return to standby mode.

Date and Time Settings

If you have subscribed to a Caller ID service, the date and time are automatically set on all handsets when the first call is received. If Caller ID service is not available, you can set the date and time manually.

Setting Date and Time

  1. Press and hold [SET] for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SEt 1 dAtE'.
  2. Press [SET] to select.
  3. The year will flash. Use the up/down arrows [⬆️]/[⬇️] to correct the year and press [SET] to confirm.
  4. Repeat the procedure for month, day, and time.
  5. Press [X] to exit.

Area Code

You can set your local area code. When you call a number from your area, it will be displayed and stored. If you redial the number from the call list while Auto IP is set, the Auto IP number will not be dialed.

Storing the Area Code

  1. Press and hold [SET] for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SEt 1 dAtE'.
  2. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'SEt 2 CodE'.
  3. Press [SET]. The display shows 'CodE ----'.
  4. The first '-' flashes. Use the up/down arrows [⬆️]/[⬇️] to scroll to the correct digit.
  5. Press [SET] to confirm.
  6. Repeat this procedure to enter the complete area code.
  7. Press [X] to exit.

PABX Access Code

If the CT202 is connected to a switchboard, you need to enter a one-digit access code in the dialing sequence to connect to an external line. The access code will appear at the beginning of a number on the screen.

Storing the PABX Access Code

  1. Press and hold [SET] for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SEt 1 dAtE'.
  2. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'SEt 3 PCODE'.
  3. Press [SET]. The display shows 'PCODE -'.
  4. The first '-' flashes. Use the up/down arrows [⬆️]/[⬇️] to scroll to the correct digit (0-9).
  5. Press [SET] to confirm and exit.

Auto IP

Allows you to store your IP code in the phone for more convenient call rates on long-distance calls.

Storing a Number

  1. Press and hold [SET] for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SEt 1 dAtE'.
  2. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'SEt 4 AUTO IP'.
  3. Press [SET]. The display shows 'AUTO IP' and current settings.
  4. If necessary, scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'On'.
  5. Press [SET] to confirm. The display shows 'InPUt CODE'.
  6. Use the keypad to enter the IP code (e.g., 17909).
  7. Press [SET] to confirm and [X] to exit.

Note: After activating Auto IP and setting the IP number, if a number starting with '0' is pre-dialed, the phone will dial the number and automatically add the Auto IP details.

VIP (Very Important Person)

You can block important numbers in the phone's call list. A blocked number cannot be deleted from the call list unless all numbers are deleted. If the call list is full and all numbers are VIP numbers, the last VIP number will be deleted. VIP numbers can have a dedicated ringer.

Blocking a Number

  1. Press the call list button [?].
  2. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to the number you wish to block/unblock.
  3. Press [P] to block/unblock the number.
  4. A lock symbol [?] will appear on the display when the number is a VIP number.

Modifying Display Contrast

  1. Press [SET]. The display shows 'LCD' and the current contrast level (1-5).
  2. Press and hold [SET] until you reach the desired contrast.

Redial and Dialing Modes

Redial is useful for accessing network services and PABX/switchboard services. The redial mode in the CT202 is available for your country's network. Your phone is set to tone dialing. Change this option only if you are connected to an older switchboard/PBX that requires pulse dialing.

Changing Dialing Mode

  1. Press and hold [*] for 3 seconds.
  2. The new dialing mode setting will be displayed.
  3. Press [SET] to return to standby mode.

Setting the Alarm

  1. Press and hold [SET] for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SEt 1 dAtE'.
  2. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'SEt 5 ALErt'.
  3. Press [SET]. The display shows '00-00 OFF'.
  4. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to set the first digit and press [SET] to confirm.
  5. Repeat this procedure until all digits are correct.
  6. Scroll [⬆️]/[⬇️] to 'On'.
  7. Press [X] to exit.

Note: To stop the alarm, press any key or lift the handset. The alarm will stop automatically after 60 seconds if no button is pressed. If the alarm sounds simultaneously with the phone ringing, or if the handset is lifted or the phone is in use, the alarm will be deactivated. When the alarm is sounding, the telephone line will be busy.

Call List

If you have subscribed to a Caller ID service, and the caller's identity is not hidden, the caller's number will appear with the date and time of the call (if provided by the network). When the list is full and a new call is received, the oldest entry will be automatically deleted. You can store at least 30 numbers in the received call list, and each number can contain up to 16 digits.

Accessing the Received Call List

  1. Press the call list button [?] to access the received call list.
  2. Press and hold to scroll through the list.
  3. The display will show '--End--' when you reach the end of the list.

Dialing a Number from the Received Call List

  1. Press the call list button [?] to access the received call list.
  2. Press and hold to scroll to the desired number.
  3. Lift the handset to dial automatically or press the speakerphone button [?] to dial using speakerphone.

Accessing the Redial List

The last 5 dialed entries are stored in the phone, each up to 32 digits long.

  1. Press the redial list button [↩️] to read the redial list.
  2. Press and hold to scroll through the list.

Dialing a Number from the Redial List

  1. Press the redial list button [↩️].
  2. Press and hold to scroll to the desired entry.
  3. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to scroll through the numbers quickly.
  4. Lift the handset to dial the number automatically or press the speakerphone button [?] to dial the displayed number using speakerphone.

Note: If there is more than one missed call from the same number, 'REP' will be displayed.

Technical Information

Number of Telephones

The CT202 has a Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) of 1. A total of 4 REN is permitted. Exceeding this limit may cause phones not to ring. Additional receivers or chargers registered have a REN of 0.

Connecting to a Switchboard

This product is intended for use in Italy for connections to the public telephone network. You may need to use the flash function if connected to a switchboard. Contact your switchboard provider for details.

Suncorp declares that the Motorola CT202 corded telephone conforms with the essential requirements of the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). The product complies with Safety standard EN60950-1 and EMC standards EN55022 and EN55024.
