Safety Warning
WARNING! Incorrect operation and incorrectly performed work can cause serious personal injury or material damage. The Fronius Smart Meter may only be installed and commissioned by trained personnel and only within the scope of the technical regulations. Before working with the device, read and understand all enclosed, printed, and online documents. This document does not describe all possible system configurations.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Switch Off the Circuit Breaker
Ensure the circuit breaker connected to the system is in the OFF position [power-off symbol].
Step 2: Mount the Smart Meter
Install the Fronius Smart Meter in the designated location, typically within a switch cabinet.
Step 3: Connect the Auxiliary Power Supply
Connect the power supply (100-240 V AC/DC ±10%) to the appropriate terminals (L/N/+/- or N/L/-/+).
Step 4: Connect Wiring
Connect the Smart Meter according to your system configuration. The diagrams illustrate various setups:
- 4a: 1 Phase, 2 Wires - CT: Single-phase connection using a Current Transformer (CT).
- 4b: 1 Phase, 2 Wires - VT/CT: Single-phase connection using Voltage Transformer (VT) and CT.
- 4c: 2 Phases, 3 Wires - CT: Two-phase connection using a CT.
- 4d: 2 Phases, 3 Wires - VT/CT: Two-phase connection using VT and CT.
