Important Safety Information
⚠️ Risk of deflagration: Unburned gas accumulation poses a risk. Avoid draughts that might blow out burners. Read instructions carefully.
⚠️ Risk of poisoning: Ensure good kitchen ventilation during operation (open vents or use extractor hood). Prolonged use may require opening a window or increasing ventilation power.
⚠️ Risk of burns: Hotplates and immediate vicinity get very hot. Never touch hot surfaces. Keep children under 8 away.
Using liquefied gas bottles not upright can cause intense flames and gas leaks, leading to burns. Always use gas bottles upright.
⚠️ Risk of fire: Hotplates get very hot. Do not place flammable objects or store items on the hob. Do not store corrosive chemicals, fume-producing products, flammable materials, or non-food products below or near the appliance. Overheated fat or oil can catch fire; never leave unattended. To extinguish fat fires, use a lid and switch off the hotplate; never use water.
Operating a burner at too high a setting can cause flammable materials to ignite. Displayed power setting may differ from knob setting; always follow the knob's markings.
⚠️ Risk of injury: Cracked glass plates are dangerous. Immediately switch off all burners and electrical elements, disconnect power, shut off gas, and do not touch the surface. Contact after-sales service for faulty appliances.
Damaged, incorrectly sized, or poorly positioned pans can cause serious injuries. Follow advice on cookware. In case of malfunction, turn off gas and electricity supplies and call Technical Assistance Service. Do not tamper with the appliance's interior. If a control knob is stiff, do not force it; call Technical Assistance Service.
⚠️ Risk of electric shock: Do not use steam cleaners. Cracked glass plates can cause electric shocks; switch off the circuit breaker and contact after-sales service.
Getting to Know Your Appliance
Refer to the model overview (Page 2) for appliance details and burner powers.
Controls and Burners
Each control knob is marked with its corresponding burner. Knobs adjust output between minimum and maximum settings. Avoid switching directly between positions 0 and 1.
Indicators
- ℹ️ Burner controlled by control knob
- ⚪ Switched-off burner
- ? Highest power setting and electric ignition
- ? Lowest power setting
Displays
- Electric ignition
- Heat settings
- Switched-off burner
- Residual heat indicator (H = hot, h = warm)
Dual double-flame burners allow separate control of inner and outer flames:
- Inner and outer flame on full power.
- Outer flame on low power, inner flame on full power.
- Inner flame on full power.
- Inner flame on low power.
Ensure all burner parts and pan supports are correctly installed. Do not swap burner caps.
Elements
- Ignition plug
- Thermocouple
- Burner ring
- Burner cup
- Burner cap
Residual Heat Indicator
Indicates if a hotplate is hot or warm. 'H' means hot, 'h' means warm. The indicator stays lit until the hotplate cools sufficiently. Do not touch if lit.
Accessories
Optional accessories may be included or available from Technical Assistance Service:

Gas Burners
Switching on Manually
- Press and turn the control knob anticlockwise to the highest power setting.
- Hold an igniter or naked flame against the burner.
Automatic Ignition
If equipped with automatic ignition:
- Press and turn the control knob anticlockwise to the highest power setting. Sparks will be produced, and the ? symbol will appear. The burner ignites.
- Release the control knob.
- Turn the control knob to the required position.
If the burner doesn't ignite, switch off and repeat, holding the knob longer (up to 10 seconds).
⚠️ Risk of deflagration: If the burner fails to ignite after 10 seconds, switch off the knob, open the door/window, and wait a minute before re-igniting.
Keep ignition plugs clean with a small non-metallic brush to prevent ignition faults.
Safety System
The thermocouple cuts off gas if burners are accidentally extinguished. To ensure it's active: switch on burner, press and hold knob for 4 seconds after flame ignition.
Switching off a Burner
Turn the control knob clockwise to position 0. The ⚪ symbol and residual heat indicator will appear. A 'thud' sound after a few seconds indicates the safety device is disengaging.
Warnings
- A soft whistling noise during operation is normal.
- Initial odors are normal and will disappear.
- An orange flame is normal due to atmospheric dust or spills.
- If flames are blown out, switch off the knob and wait at least 1 minute before relighting.
Settings Table and Tips
Suitable Pans
Burner | Minimum pan diameter | Maximum pan diameter |
---|---|---|
Wok burner | 22 cm | - cm |
Rapid burner | 22 cm | 26 cm |
Semi-rapid burner | 14 cm | 20 cm |

Precautions for Use
- Use pans appropriate for each burner size. Flames should not touch pan sides.
- Do not use damaged pans or those that do not sit evenly.
- Use pans with thick, flat bases.
- Always use a lid and ensure it is properly fitted to save energy.
- Center pans over the burner; off-center placement can cause tipping.
- Avoid large pans near control knobs due to high temperatures.
- Place pans on pan supports, not directly on burners.
- Ensure pan supports and burner caps are correctly positioned before use.
- Place pans carefully; do not strike the hob or place excessive weight on it.
Cooking Table
The table provides optimal heat settings and cooking times for four people. Times and settings may vary based on food type, weight, quality, and cookware material. Always use the correct size cookware centered on the burner.
Information on the table: Each food item may have one or two steps, indicating cooking method, heat setting, and cooking time.
Cooking methods: [Bring to boil], [Continue boiling], [Build up pressure], [Maintain pressure], [Fry briefly at high temp], [Fry briefly at low temp], [Melt], [Without lid], [Stir constantly]. (Note: these symbols are not on the appliance).
The table details cooking for different burners. Using the rapid burner is often recommended.
Example: Fish soup (Rapid burner): Step 1 - Bring to boil, heat setting 8 for 7-9 mins. Step 2 - Continue boiling, heat setting 1 for 5-8 mins.
(Detailed cooking tables for various foods like soups, pasta, rice, vegetables, fish, meat, and convenience products follow, specifying burner type, total time, Step 1 (heat setting & time), and Step 2 (heat setting & time).)
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning
Once the appliance is cool, clean with a sponge, soap, and water. Clean burner parts after each use once cooled. Remove residue promptly as it can become difficult to remove later. Ensure holes and grooves are clean for proper ignition.
Metal residue from pans on pan supports should be cleaned. Use soapy water and a non-wire brush for burners and supports. Clean rubber rests on pan supports carefully to prevent them from coming loose and scratching the hob. Always dry burners and supports completely; moisture can damage enamel.
Caution: Do not remove control elements during cleaning. Do not use steam cleaners. Avoid abrasive products, steel scourers, or sharp implements for cleaning.
Maintenance
Clean spills immediately to prevent sticking. Never slide pans across the glass surface to avoid scratches. Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects. Do not strike the hob. Sand from cleaning fruits/vegetables can scratch the glass. Clean melted sugar or sugary spills immediately with a glass scraper.
If cooking in a frying pan, heat oil before adding food. Maintain constant temperature and turn food regularly. For multiple portions, wait for cooking temperature to be reached again.
