What's Inside the Box?
LEFT TO RIGHT:
1. Case Front
(with Non-Slip Grip Twist Cap)
2. Silicone Wrap
(with Sealing Rib to protect against water & shock)
3. Case Back
(with versatile Attachment Point)
4. Keyring
5. Carabiner
Installation Instructions
Step 1
Install your AirTag into the patent-pending Silicone Wrap, making sure it is centered.
Diagram Description: An image shows an AirTag with a smiley face on it, and a blue silicone wrap with internal grooves. An arrow points from the AirTag towards the wrap, indicating insertion.
Step 2
Place your AirTag with Silicone Wrap into Case Back, so that the Sealing Rib (marked in green on the diagram) faces out. Gently place Case Front over Case Back and AirTag with Silicone Wrap, so that the screw-threads align.
Diagram Description: An image shows the Case Back component and the Case Front component. An arrow points from the AirTag/Silicone Wrap assembly towards the Case Back, indicating placement.
Step 3
Screw Case Front onto Case Back slowly, making sure the Sealing Rib is seated and aligned on Case Front. The edge of the Sealing Rib should be just visible when Case Front is screwed onto Case Back. Before fully closing Case Front and Case Back, rotate your AirTag within the case, so that the Emoji design (if any) is aligned to your desired position.
Diagram Description: Two diagrams are shown. The left shows the correct assembly of the Case Front onto the Case Back, with the sealing rib visible. The right shows an incorrect assembly, indicated by a red 'X' symbol.
Step 4
To attach Keyring, remove Keyring from Carabiner. Then, widen Keyring's opening and slide it onto the Attachment Point on Case Back. Once Keyring is attached, Carabiner can be clipped onto the Keyring.
Diagram Description: An image shows the Keyring and Carabiner components separately, with arrows indicating how they connect.
Step 5
You are now ready to Hang-It to your desired item.
Diagram Description: An image shows the assembled case with the carabiner attached to a backpack strap, holding the AirTag.
Performance Specifications
The Silicone Wrap is a waterproof barrier that protects your AirTag from water. The Silicone Wrap must be clean, intact and undamaged to be effective. A single strand of hair or grain of sand can undermine the waterproof seal.
This case has a water ingress rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 and is designed to meet or exceed pressures up to 330 ft/100 meters. However, even if the case is above a depth it's rated for, it may still suffer water ingression if it is subjected to an activity that creates pressure that exceeds the depth rating, such as movement through water. Our water rating is suitable for rain, splashing, showering, swimming and snorkeling. Do not expose your AirTag to high velocity water, e.g. while water skiing or in a sauna or steam room. Do not open the case underwater as this will allow water to enter the case and it may damage your AirTag.
The case is also designed to meet or exceed the test standards of US Military Standard 810G for drops. The waterproof and drop proof characteristics may not be permanent and may decrease as a result of normal wear or exposure to environmental conditions (see Care & Limitations).
Examples of damage:
- Silicone Wrap, e.g. cuts, abrasions, puncture marks, scoring, tears and wear and tear.
- Case Front and Case Back, e.g. dents, crazing, cracks and warping, misalignment of parts.
- Keyring and Carabiner, e.g. non-original bends, warping, misshaping and corrosion.
How to Care for Your Case
Your AirTag and the case are two separate products. For information regarding care of your AirTag, please refer to the Apple user manual for AirTag.
The assembled case on your AirTag can be pre-cleaned by washing with soap & water. It can then be disinfected using 70% isopropyl alcohol, 70% ethanol, Lysol® Wipes, Clorox® Wipes or Opti-Cide 3® Wipes. Avoid using cleaning products containing povidone-iodine (such as Betadine®), as this may affect the function and aesthetic qualities of the case. Follow the instructions of the disinfectant manufacturer. It is best practice for some disinfectants to be rinsed with water after disinfecting to remove residue that may break down or wear the cases. Then pat dry with a non-abrasive cloth.
The case may collect dirt in crevices or gaps. You can remove the AirTag from the case to clean (if necessary). Dirt can be removed by light brushing parts in soapy water using a toothbrush. Do not use anything hard or sharp on the Silicone Wrap. Rinse off any soapy water that remains on the case after cleaning and allow it to dry prior to use.
Minimize exposure of your case to anything that may cause stains, or other damage, such as dirt or sand, makeup, ink, soapy water, detergent, salt water, pool water, acids or acidic foods, acetone (e.g. nail polish remover), perfume, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, oil, hair dye, or solvents (e.g. gasoline, motor oils or other liquids that contain hydrocarbons), as they may permanently mar or cloud the plastic parts of the case, cause discoloration, could degrade the Silicone Wrap or lead to corrosion of metallic parts. In certain circumstances, exposure to such chemicals may result in loss of use or failure of the case. If exposed to these chemicals, rinse in clean water immediately and dry using a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth - e.g., a lens cloth.
The case and components may NOT be suitable for all situations, including:
- The case and your AirTag should be handled with care. They can be damaged, impair functionality, or cause injury if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or if exposed to excessive heat or liquid or to environments having high concentrations of industrial chemicals.
- This is not safety or protective equipment.
- The case may detach depending on use.
- Carabiner is not designed for climbing applications.
- Pets and animals may damage the case through usage, e.g., chewing, which may cause injury to the pet and animals if chewed or swallowed.
- While usage applications of the case may be suggested, user's are reminded to exercise sensible judgement and supervision when using the case.
Temperature
Never expose your AirTag to temperatures outside its operating temperature range as stated in its manual (-4° to 140°F (-20° to 60°C)) to avoid damaging it. While the case can withstand temperatures of up to 158°F (70°C), this is well beyond your AirTag's range. Do not leave your case with your AirTag installed in places with extreme temperatures (saunas, hot tubs, hot car interiors) or where wide temperature or humidity fluctuations may occur, and internal condensation may form (i.e. from a cold pool to a hot sauna or hot tub). Battery life varies with usage, environmental conditions, replacement battery manufacturer and extreme temperatures may shorten the useful life of the battery. Please consult the user manual of your AirTag for details and to understand its limitations.
Illegal Activities
We do not encourage nor condone the use of your AirTag for illegal activities, including those activities that infringe upon a person's personal privacy. Customers are at all times suggested to follow the laws and regulations that are applicable to them.
