4. Panel Introduction
A detailed view of the Aveek F-5A audio mixer's front panel, showing numbered controls and inputs/outputs.
- 1 [MIC/LINE] Mono XLR Input jack
- Used to connect microphones, musical instruments, or audio equipment (e.g., CD players) to this device. These jacks support three XLR and phone plugs.
- 2 [PAD] Switch (only available for MIC/LINE1-3)
- Turning on this switch will attenuate the sound input to the device. If you hear distortion or the [PEAK] LED indicator lights up, you can turn on this switch.
- 3 [HPF] switch (only available for MIC/LINE1-3)
- Turning on this switch enables the high-pass filter, attenuating frequencies below 80 Hz. When speaking into the microphone, you may need to turn on this switch to minimize unwanted vibrations and breath sounds picked up by the microphone.
- 4 [GAIN] knob
- Determines the basic volume of each channel. Adjust these controllers to make the corresponding [PEAK] LED flash briefly when singing and playing at maximum volume. The volume of MIC/LINE 1-3 can be individually adjusted. The volume of LINE 4/5/PC and USB/Bluetooth module share a single GAIN knob control.
- 5 Equalizer (EQ) knob
- Use the [HIGH] (high band) and [LOW] (low band) knobs to adjust the sound quality. If you do not need to adjust the sound quality, set the knob to the "12 o'clock direction" position. The EQ of MIC/LINE 1-3 can be individually adjusted. The EQ of LINE 4/5/PC and USB/Bluetooth modules share a single EQ knob control.
- 6 [EFF] Effect switch (only available for MIC/LINE1-3)
- This is the switch button for reverb and delay effects. Note: Only MIC/LINE1-3 has EFF effect; LINE4/5/PC/USB/Bluetooth modules have no reverb and delay effect. There is only one reverb knob and one delay knob to adjust, and the effect cannot be adjusted by separate channels.
- 7 [PEAK] LED
- Lights up when the input signal volume or the volume after the equalizer is too high (3dB below clipping distortion). If it lights up frequently, turn the [GAIN] knob to the left to decrease the volume.
- 8 [LEVEL] knob
- Used to adjust the volume balance between each channel. Typically set to the "3 o'clock direction" position. The volume of MIC/LINE 1-3 can be individually adjusted. The volume of LINE 4/5/PC and USB/Bluetooth module share a single LEVEL knob control.
- 9 [LINE 4/5/PC USB/Bluetooth function] switch
- This switch key toggles between channels 4/5/PC or Bluetooth/USB module. When using LINE4/5 and computer input, this key should not be pressed. When using Bluetooth and USB modules, this button should be pressed. Note: Bluetooth and USB functions are available as one of the two options and cannot be used simultaneously.
- 10 RCA L/R Line Output jack
- Used for output connections to devices that support RCA jacks.
- 11 RCA L/R Line Input jack
- For input connections to devices that support lotus line jacks (e.g., CD player, mobile, computer, electronic organ).
- 12 6.35mm L/R Line Input jacks
- Used for input connection and supports 6.35mm-line jack devices (e.g., CD player, mobile, computer, electronic organ).
- 13 6.35mm L/R Line Output jacks
- Used for output connection and supports 6.35 line socket equipment (e.g., active speakers, power amplifiers).
- 14 L/R XLR Female Output jacks
- Used for output connection and supports XLR socket equipment (e.g., power amplifiers, active speakers).
- 15 [PAD +48V] Switch/LED (only available for MIC/LINE1-3)
- When the switch is turned on, the LED lights up, indicating that DC+48V phantom power is applied to the XLR plug on the [MIC/LINE1-3] mono input port. Turn on this switch when using a condenser microphone powered by phantom power. Note: If phantom power is not needed, ensure this switch is off. Observe precautions to prevent noise and damage: do not connect/disconnect cables on MIC/LINE 1-3 when the switch is on; set [LEVEL] knobs of MIC/LINE 1-3 to minimum before operating this switch. Do not use if connected equipment does not support phantom power.
- 16 USB input
