Assembly Steps
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your KidKraft Large Pastel Kitchen.
Step 1
Attach Part 1 (Left Side Panel) to Part 5 (Bottom Panel) using two 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and two 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. Attach Part 2 (Right Side Panel) to Part 5 (Bottom Panel) similarly. Attach Part 3 (Back Panel - Lower) to Part 5 using one 'M' Screw. Attach Part 3 to Part 1 and Part 2 using 'D' nuts. Attach Part 5 to Part 3 using 'D' nuts. A helpful hint is provided: check all predrilled holes for excess sawdust and clean them out with a flathead screwdriver if necessary.
Step 2
Attach Part 6 (Upper Back Panel - Right) and Part 7 (Upper Back Panel - Left) to the assembled structure. Use 'C' Cross Dowel Bolts and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts to connect Part 6 to Part 2 and Part 7 to Part 1. Use 'D' nuts to secure these panels to the back. Insert 'B' Pink Cross Dowel Bolts into Part 4 (Back Panel - Upper Left) and secure with 'D' nuts.
Step 3
Attach Part 4 (Back Panel - Upper Left) to Part 7. Attach Part 8 (Oven Door Panel) to Part 1 using 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. Attach Part 9 (Side Frame Panel) to Part 2 using 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. Attach Part 13 (Shelf Panel) between Part 7 and Part 9 using 'D' nuts. Attach Part 4 to Part 7 using 'D' nuts. Attach Part 8 to Part 1 using 'D' nuts.
Step 4
Insert Part 15 (Drawer Slide - Left) and Part 16 (Drawer Slide - Right) into the designated slots on Part 17 (Side Panel). These slides are typically attached to the side panels of the kitchen structure.
Step 5
Prepare the oven door assembly. Attach Part 8 (Oven Door Panel) to Part 9 (Side Frame Panel) using 'H' Blue Screws and 'T' Screws. Attach Part 41 (Faucet Base) and Part 42 (Faucet Handle) to Part 8 using 'I' Yellow Screws and 'U' Latches. Attach Part 41 to Part 8 using 'I' and 'U'. Attach Part 42 to Part 8 using 'I' and 'U'.
Step 6
Attach the assembled oven door unit (Part 8 with hardware) to the main structure. Secure Part 8 to Part 9 using 'H' Blue Screws and 'T' Screws. A close-up view shows Part 8 attaching to Part 9 with hardware.
Step 7
Attach the main back panel (Part 18) to the rear of the kitchen structure. Use 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts to secure it to the side panels. Also, use 'P' Twist Nuts and 'O' Cam Locks for specific connections, indicated by arrows pointing to connection points. A 180-degree rotation symbol is shown for a specific fastener.
Step 8
Attach the stovetop unit (Part 47) to the countertop area. Use 'P' Twist Nuts and 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts. Attach the sink unit (Part 46) to the countertop area using 'J' Hex Screws and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. The stovetop (47) is secured with 'P' and 'A'. The sink unit (46) is secured with 'J' and 'D'.
Step 9
Attach the side panels (Part 10) to the back panel (Part 39, Part 11). Use 'G' Pink Screws and 'U' Latches. Attach the oven door panel (Part 12) to the side panel (Part 10) using 'I' Yellow Screws and 'U' Latches. Part 40 (Handle) is attached to Part 10 using 'G' and 'T' screws. Part 39 and Part 11 are attached to Part 10 using 'G' and 'U'. Part 12 is attached to Part 10 using 'I' and 'U'. Part 40 is attached to Part 10 using 'G' and 'T'.
Step 10
Connect the assembled side panels (Part 10) and oven door panel (Part 12) to the main kitchen structure. Use 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'B' Pink Cross Dowel Bolts, secured with 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. The diagram shows the side panels being attached to the main body.
Step 11
Attach the top shelf panel (Part 33) to the upper structure using 'E' Cross Dowel Bolt, 'S' Washers, 'R' Nylon Nut, and 'Q' Pink Cap Nut. Attach the backsplash panel (Part 24) to the top of the kitchen using 'F' White Screws. The assembly involves securing Part 33 with E, S, R, Q and Part 24 with F.
Step 12
Attach the oven door (Part 26) to the oven cavity. Use 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts and 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts to secure the oven cavity components (Part 25, 27, 28) to the main structure. The oven door (26) is attached to the oven cavity.
Step 13
Attach the side panels (Part 11, Part 12) to the main unit. Use 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. The diagram shows these panels being attached to the main structure.
Step 14
Attach the back panel (Part 29) to the rear of the kitchen. Use 'A' White Cross Dowel Bolts and 'K' White Screws, secured with 'D' Cross Dowel Nuts. The diagram shows these fasteners connecting Part 29 to the main structure.
Step 15
Attach the oven door handle (Part 35) to the oven door (Part 30). Use 'N' Silver Screws and 'Q' Pink Cap Nuts. The diagram shows Part 35 being attached to Part 30 with N and Q.
Step 16
Attach the oven door (Part 30) to the oven cavity. The diagram shows the door being attached to the main structure.
Step 17
Insert the sink basin (Part 32) into the countertop (Part 31) until it clicks into place. A note for removal states: "To Remove Sink: The sink may only be removed by an adult. Hold the tabs and lift through the hole to release."
Step 18
Attach the faucet components (Part 43, 44, 45) to the sink unit (Part 46). The diagram shows the faucet parts being assembled onto the sink.
Important Information and Care
Parental Supervision: This toy is intended for children of a specific age or above. Parents should supervise the play area so that children younger than the intended age range do not interact with this toy. Use this toy on the floor. Do not allow children to climb on or around or in the toy.
Handcrafted Items: All KidKraft wooden items are handcrafted, hand-assembled, and hand-painted. Each one is unique. Slight imperfections may occur and are not manufacturing defects. KidKraft does not warranty against the use of permanent markers, non-water-based paints, crayons, or washable markers, as some may contain permanent color dyes that could damage the surface.
Cleaning Instructions: Clean the surface using a slightly damp cloth and mild dish washing liquid if necessary. Do not use cleaning products containing alcohol or ammonia, as these will dull the shiny surface. Furniture polish can also be used for cleaning and dusting.
Adult Use Note: Wash all food/drink playthings thoroughly before use. They are not dishwasher, oven, or microwave safe.
Testing Cleaning Materials: It is recommended to test all cleaning materials on the underside of any surface that would not be seen during normal use. For questions regarding maintenance, contact KidKraft customer service.
Sole and Limited Warranty
This toy is warranted solely against manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, running only to the original user. In case of a manufacturing defect, parts will be replaced, or the entire product will be replaced, or the purchase price refunded, at the manufacturer's election.
To activate and protect this warranty, preserve evidence of original purchase and carefully inspect the toy's condition before and after assembly. Look for missing, degraded, broken, or hazardous parts, including those that could be swallowed or cause choking or injury. If any defects are observed, do not use the toy and immediately notify the manufacturer.
Failure to follow warnings, improper assembly, failure to supervise, inspect, or maintain the toy, or damage to the toy (intentional or inadvertent) will invalidate this warranty. This warranty grants specific legal rights, and other rights may vary by state.
