Limitation Recommended action
Some printers are not included in the list of target printers and are not supported by Setup Tool. Manually review or modify the settings on your printer, as applicable. Any unsupported settings are ignored or discarded.

Some settings may not be available depending on your printer.

For some printers, you can only export and review files in Setup Tool.
For some printers, keyboard login data imported through Device Authentication Settings may not be reflected.
For printers that do not support maintenance mode U917, the Port number setting may be blank or empty.
For some printers, the Cover page data in Contact Settings may not be editable.
For some printers that do not support key names for one touch keys, the key name can be specified.
IC card information can be viewed but not edited.
Settings for optional devices such as cassettes, finishing units, or storage devices may be displayed in Setup Tool, even if the optional devices are not installed on the printer.
When importing a user list that does not include an administrator to your printer, any existing administrator account on your printer is unregistered. Make sure to include an administrator account in your user list.
When saving a file for importing to one or more printers, the default values are set for settings or options that are not modified.
