IV. Installation
Before beginning the installation process, if the appliance has been transported or stored in a non-upright position, ensure it stands upright for approximately 12 hours before operation. This allows the refrigerant to settle, ensuring optimal performance. Failure to follow these guidelines could negatively affect the appliance's performance and lifespan.
Appliance Setup
- Unpack the appliance: After removing from packaging, ensure all protective film and coatings are completely removed from all surfaces.
- Location: Select a spot where the floor is level and firm. Maintain at least a 4-inch clearance between the unit and any walls or obstructions for adequate ventilation. Increase this distance if the unit is near a heat source to avoid overheating. Remember to install the rubber spacer on the back of the appliance as guided in the "Rubber Spacer Installation Section" (Page 8).
- Pre-cleaning: Before first use, thoroughly clean interior shelves with soapy water to remove manufacturing residues and maintain hygiene.
- Securing the unit: If equipped with castors, set the brakes to keep it stable. If it has adjustable screw feet, level the appliance by turning them as needed.
These appliances should only be operated in environments with ambient temperatures no higher than 90°F (32°C) as per Climate Class 4 specifications.
Shelf Installation
Your appliance is designed for flexible item arrangement with adjustable shelves to customize interior space. Here's how to install them:
- For Refrigerators: Shelves can be placed in different plastic layers. To adjust shelf height, carefully lift and reposition it into the desired plastic layer.
- For Freezers: The evaporator itself serves as shelves. The number of shelves varies by model capacity. Handle the evaporator/shelves carefully to avoid damaging pipes with excessive force.
- Damage or Defects: If you notice any damage or defects with the shelves upon delivery or during use, contact your dealer immediately.
Tailoring the layout optimizes storage capacity and efficiency. Handle shelves carefully during installation and adjustment to prevent damage.
V. Operation
Proper operation is essential for the best performance and longevity of your Commercial Refrigerator or Freezer. This section provides detailed guidelines on operation and door management for maximum efficiency.
Storing Food
Proper storage is key to maintaining food freshness and quality. Here are a few tips:
- Allow the appliance to reach its operating temperature before storing food.
- Cool hot food or liquids to room temperature before placing them in the appliance.
- Wrap or cover food whenever possible to prevent odor spread and maintain food quality.
- Avoid blocking the internal fans, as they are essential for consistent internal temperatures.
- Minimize door opening time to reduce cold air loss.
Door Operation
Your appliance is equipped with a lock for security and to maintain a stable internal environment. Here are a few tips:
- Locking the Door: Use a provided key to lock the door when the appliance is not in use. This is crucial for security and maintaining internal temperature in commercial settings.
- Unlocking the Door: Insert the key into the lock and turn to access contents. Always remove the key after unlocking and ensure the door is fully closed after use.
Turning On the Appliance
- Ensure the doors are securely closed.
- Check that the power switch is set to 'Off' [0] and plug the unit into a socket.
- Turn the power switch to 'On' [I]. The current internal temperature will be displayed on the screen.
VI. Defrosting
Your appliance has an automatic defrosting feature for optimum cooling efficiency. However, manual defrosting may be necessary at times.
Automatic Defrosting
- The appliance automatically initiates a defrost cycle every six hours.
- The cycle begins from the time the appliance is initially powered up.
- This process significantly contributes to optimal operation and should not be interrupted.
Manual Defrost
Manual defrosting may be necessary on occasion. To manually defrost:
- Press and hold the 'DEFROST' button for five seconds.
- The defrost cycle will commence immediately, with the Defrost LED indicator illuminating. This cycle lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.
Initiating a manual defrost resets the automatic defrost timer. The next automatic defrost will start six hours after the manual defrost completion.
Proper defrosting is crucial for efficient operation, maintaining ideal temperature and humidity levels, and ensuring stored items remain at their best quality. Follow the outlined defrosting procedure.
VII. Cleaning and Maintenance
Maintaining cleanliness and overall performance requires regular cleaning and maintenance. These practices ensure peak efficiency and prolong the appliance's life and functionality.
General Cleaning
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power source before cleaning.
- Frequently clean the interior with a gentle cleaning agent to prevent bacterial growth and odor.
- Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents, as they can leave harmful residues or damage the surface.
- Avoid using sharp tools that may damage the ABS plastic liner of the cabinets.
- Clean the door seal with water only. Wipe dry after cleaning to prevent mold growth.
- Do not let cleaning water run into the drain hole, as it could overflow into the evaporation pan.
- Be cautious when cleaning the rear of the appliance, as it may have sharp edges.
Condenser Cleaning
The condenser is essential and should be cleaned every 30 days. A clean condenser extends the appliance's lifespan. KoolMore recommends having a service agent or qualified technician perform this task.

The wiring arrangement is as follows:
- Live wire (brown) is connected to the terminal marked 'L'.

All appliances must have a dedicated earthing circuit for safety. Consult a qualified electrician if you have any doubts. Ensure electrical isolation points are clear of obstructions and readily accessible for emergency disconnection.
X. Rubber Spacer Installation
To guarantee proper ventilation and performance, especially when positioned against a wall, install the included rubber spacer onto the backside of the cabinet as illustrated. Follow these steps:
- Identify the correct location for the rubber spacer on the back of the cabinet (as per the diagram).
- Align the holes on the rubber spacer with the corresponding screw holes on the cabinet.
