Introduction
EMA App is an energy monitoring application for smart phones, designed for end users of APsystems Micro-inverter Products. Users can check the real-time performance, historical power output, and environmental benefits of their PV systems.
1. Install and Login EMA App
1.1. Install
iOS:
- Go to App Store
- Search "EMA App"
- Download and install
Note: iOS version 10.0 and up.
Android:
Method 1:
- Go to Google Play Store
- Search "EMA App"
- Download and install
Method 2:
- Open https://apsystems.com
- Select your region
- Click the tab menu "Apps" below "Products"
- Download and install
Method 3:
- Open https://www.apsystemsema.com
- Scan the QR code for Android or iOS [QR code]
- Download and install
Note: Android version 7.0 and up.
1.2. Login
- Enter your "Username" and "Password".
- The password is case sensitive.
- Press the "Login" button.
Your specific analysis data is displayed.
App Interface Description:
Login Screen: Shows fields for Username and Password, with a "Login" button and "Forgot Password" link.
Home Screen: Displays "Current Power" within a circular graphic (e.g., 1kW), "Capacity" (e.g., 4 kW), "Today's Energy" (e.g., 15.0 kWh), "Total Energy" (e.g., 25.3k kWh), and "CO2 Reduction" (e.g., 19 ton). Navigation icons for Home, Module, Data, and Settings are at the bottom.
Note: Once logged in successfully, the app remembers your account for future openings. You can change the app's language by clicking "English" at the upper right corner.
1.3. Forget Password
- Click "Forget Password".
- Enter your "Username" and "Email".
- Click "Send" to get the verification code.
- Enter the code and click "Next".
- Enter the new password.
- Click "Submit".
Note: The verification code is only valid for 5 minutes.
2. Monitoring
2.1 Home
You can view a summary of your PV system's performance, including real-time power, system capacity, today's energy, total energy, and CO2 reduction.
- Navigate to the "Home" screen.
- The Real-time Power is displayed within a power ball graphic.
App Interface Description:
Home Screen: Shows "Current Power" in a circular graphic, "Capacity", "Today's Energy", "Total Energy", and "CO2 Reduction". Navigation icons for Home, Module, Data, and Settings are at the bottom.
2.2 Module
2.2.1 View the Details of Module
Click on one of the modules displayed to view its specific details.
App Interface Description:
Module Screen: Displays a grid of modules, each showing a status indicator (e.g., percentage). Tapping a module reveals details such as UID (e.g., 404000132771-A), Position (e.g., 2,3), and Power output (e.g., 108W). It also shows ECU information and date/time.
2.2.2 View the Production of Module
View the power generation in day:
- Click [calendar icon] to select the date.
- Click the play/pause button to adjust playback or drag the slider to fast forward.
App Interface Description:
Module Production Screen: Shows a historical view of power generation for selected modules. A date selection interface (with year, month, day) is available. Playback controls allow users to review data over time.
View the daily energy in 30 days:
- Click [icon for daily energy] to select "Daily Energy in 30 Days".
- Click [calendar icon] to select the date.
- Click the play/pause button to adjust playback or drag the slider to fast forward.
App Interface Description:
Daily Energy Screen: Displays daily energy generation over a 30-day period. Users can select different ECUs or views if multiple are available. Playback controls are also present.
Note: You can change the ECU or view if your system has more ECUs or views.
2.3 Data
You can view the power generation of your PV system over its lifetime.
2.3.1 View the real-time data
- Turn to the "Data" screen.
- Select the date.
- Move your cursor over the graph to see details for a specific point, including time, energy, and power.
- Click the left or right arrow next to the date to change the displayed date.
App Interface Description:
Data Screen (Real-time): Shows a graph of energy and power generation over time. Users can select daily, monthly, or yearly views. The screen displays "Total Energy" and "Peak Power".
Note: You can change the ECU if your system has more ECUs.
2.3.2 View the statistical data
- Switch the menu between "Day", "Daily", "Monthly", "Yearly".
- Select the date.
- Move your cursor over a bar in the graph to get detailed information.
App Interface Description:
Data Screen (Statistical): Presents historical energy generation data in different views: 'Day' (power generation for the day), 'Daily' (daily energy in the last 30 days), 'Monthly' (monthly energy in the last 12 months), and 'Yearly' (yearly energy over the system's lifetime).
Data Definitions:
- Day: Power generation of the day.
- Daily: Daily energy in 30 days before the selected date.
- Monthly: Monthly energy in 12 months before the selected date.
- Yearly: Yearly energy in life time.
3. Manage Your Own Information
3.1 Set Language
- Login to the EMA App.
- Navigate to the "Settings" page.
- Click "Language" to change the app's language.
Available Languages:
- English
- 中文 (Chinese)
- 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
- Español (Spanish)
- Français (French)
- Português (Portuguese)
- Polski (Polish)
Note: After changing the language, the EMA App will automatically return to the "Home" page.
3.2 View Account Information
- Click "Account" on the "Settings" page.
App Interface Description:
Account Screen: Displays "User Information" including Username, Realname, Email, Country, State, City, Address, and Telephone. It also shows "Device Information" (ECU) and "Installer Information".
3.3 Reset Password
- Click "Reset Password" on the "Settings" page.
- Enter the new password.
- Upon successful reset, you will return to the login page.
Password Requirements:
Password must be between 6-32 characters and contain both numbers and letters.
3.4 Set Night Mode
- Switch the "Night Mode" toggle on the "Settings" page to enable or disable it.
3.5 Calculate Benefits
- Click "Benefits Calculator" on the "Settings" page.
- Input the price per kWh.
App Interface Description:
Benefits Calculator Screen: Shows "Power" generation figures for Today, Month, Year, and Lifetime, alongside a "Benefits" column (which is blank in the example, implying user input is needed to calculate monetary benefits).
3.6 About
- Click "About" on the "Settings" page.
- Click "Introduction" to view the app introduction.
- Click "Version Record" to view the app upgrade list.
- Click "Resources" to view the resources of EMA.
- Click "Contact Tech Support" to get the contact emails of APsystems.
