Product Overview
The EZ1D Series microinverters are designed for balcony and DIY solar systems. They are not intended for rooftop system applications.
Key Components:
- Photovoltaic (PV) module
- Power cable
- EZ1D Series Microinverter
- Router
- Mobile Phone
The EZ1D Series microinverters feature dual independent MPPT input channels, supporting high input current and output power suitable for today's larger PV modules. Users can connect their mobile phone directly to the EZ1D via Bluetooth ? to access real-time solar system data. Additionally, the EZ1D can connect to a router via Wi-Fi ?, sending data to a cloud server for remote monitoring.
Notes:
- If the Wi-Fi signal is weak in the microinverter's location, consider using a Wi-Fi signal booster between the router and the microinverter.
- EZ1D Series products are exclusively for DIY applications such as balconies, gardens, garages, and carports. They are not suitable for rooftop system applications.
- The EasyPower application can monitor up to two EZ1D Series products.
- Under sufficient sunlight conditions, the microinverter can operate at its rated output power, even when experiencing power limiting or peak shaving.
System Diagram Description
A system diagram illustrates the setup: A PV module connects to the EZ1D microinverter. The microinverter is linked via a power cable to a router, which establishes an internet connection to a cloud server. A mobile phone connects to the microinverter using Bluetooth ? and to the router using Wi-Fi ?. The home electrical grid is also shown connected to the microinverter.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Confirm Grid Voltage and Microinverter Rated Voltage Match
Ensure the grid voltage is compatible with the microinverter's rated voltage.
⚠️ Warning: Do not carry the microinverter by its AC cable. This could cause the AC cable to loosen or detach completely, preventing the inverter from operating or resulting in poor contact.
Step 2: Mount the Microinverter in a Suitable Location
The EZ1D microinverter can be mounted on a balcony wall or secured to a railing using zip ties. Choose the most appropriate mounting method based on your specific situation, ensuring the installation is secure.
⚠️ Warning: Mount the microinverter in a suitable location, avoiding direct exposure to rain, UV rays, or other adverse weather conditions.
Note: Customers must provide their own mounting bolts or zip ties.
Step 3: Connect the APSystems Microinverter to the PV Module
After connecting the DC cables, the microinverter will immediately flash green ten times, indicating normal operation. The inverter will then perform a comprehensive function check within 10 seconds of DC cable connection. Please observe these indicator light changes during DC cable connection.
⚠️ Warning: Carefully check and ensure that each PV module is connected to the same input channel. Do not connect positive and negative DC cables to two different input channels, as this will damage the microinverter and void the warranty.
Step 4: Connect the APSystems Microinverter
Single Device: Plug the microinverter's AC connector into the power line connector. A "click" sound indicates a secure connection. ?"click"
Dual Device: You can also connect two microinverters in parallel to the power line.
⚠️ Warnings:
- Before connecting the power line, remove the power line connector's protective cover.
- If the dual parallel bus cable and power line are not included in the package, please purchase them separately. Consult your sales representative or dealer for details.
Recommended Practice: Use the removal tool (included in the package; please keep it safe) to disconnect connectors.
