Safety tips for the use of E-bike

Do not use the E-bike in off-road or other extreme sports scenes, as it is not professional equipment for such activities. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and the elements may damage enclosure materials. Please store indoors when not in use.

3. Operation & Use

NOTICE: The following steps are a general guide for assembly and not a complete manual for all aspects of assembly, maintenance, and repair. Consult a certified bike mechanic for assistance.

Step 1: Unpack the e-bike

Open the bike box. Take out the seat and accessory box. With assistance, carefully remove the e-bike from the box. Remove protective packaging material from the frame and components. Please recycle packaging materials.

Step 2: Install the handlebar

Step 3: Install the front wheel

Step 4: Install the pedals

Pedals are marked 'L' (left) and 'R' (right). Install the right pedal by tightening clockwise. Install the left pedal by tightening counter-clockwise. Both pedals should be tightened with a torque wrench.

Step 5: Adjust the saddle height

Loosen the seat clamp lever. Adjust the seatpost to a comfortable height, ensuring it is inserted past the minimum insertion point indicated on the post. Close the seatpost clamp lever. Pull out or adjust the seatpost to the appropriate height, not exceeding the safety line.

Step 6: Install the reflector

Snap the reflector bracket onto the handlebar and tighten the screw with a screwdriver. Adjust the reflector's angle to be perpendicular to the ground.

Step 7: Replacement or installation of battery

Ensure the battery is switched off. Use the key to open the battery lock, then remove or insert the battery along the slide.

Step 8: Start the e-bike

Press the power button on the battery to switch it on. Then, press and hold the power button on the display to start the e-bike. The display will activate, and the controller's power supply will turn on.

4. About charging

Open the waterproof plug of the charging port on the upper right side of the battery and connect the charger. The indicator light on the charger turns from red to green when the battery is fully charged.

Battery Safety Instructions

Protection

To extend battery life and ensure intelligent use of the li-ion battery:

REMOVING THE BATTERY

Insert the key, turn to unlock, and remove the battery. Ensure it is fully locked by feeling resistance when turning the key. Do not force the battery; align and push gently. Confirm there is no space between the battery and tray.

Storage Requirements

WARNING - Risk of Fire and Electric Shock - No User Serviceable Parts

5. Display Operation

Functional area layout

The display shows indicators for AVG (Average speed), MAX (Maximum speed), SPEED (Real-time speed), Motor Fault, Light indication, Brake indication, Battery level, and Gear (0-3). It also displays ODO (Total mileage), TRIP (Trip distance), VOL (Battery voltage), and TIME (on time).

Control buttons

Buttons include '+' for switching display modes (AVG/MAX/SPEED or ODO/TRIP/VOL/TIME) and adding values in setting mode, '-' for switching display modes and decreasing values, and a Power button (labeled 'M') for power on/off and entering/exiting setting mode. Long pressing the '+' button resets ODO, and long pressing '-' restores factory settings.

General operation

Press and hold the power button to turn on the display and controller. Press and hold the power button again to turn off the e-bike. The display powers off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Display interface

By default, the display shows real-time speed (SPEED) and trip distance (TRIP). Pressing '+' and '-' simultaneously cycles through AVG, MAX, and SPEED. Pressing the power button cycles through ODO, TRIP, VOL, and TIME.

Push assistance

When the speed is 0 mph, press and hold the '-' button to enable electric push assistance, which runs at a constant 3.75 mph. This mode stops if any brake is applied. This function is for pushing the e-bike, not for riding.

Headlight and Taillight on/off

Pressing the 'D' button turns the headlight and taillight on or off.

Assist level selection

Pressing '+' or '-' buttons adjusts the pedal assist level from 0 (no motor power) to 3 (gradual increase in motor power). The throttle operates across all assist levels.

Battery level indicator

The battery level is shown by five segments. All segments illuminated indicate a full charge. A flashing outline signifies low voltage, requiring immediate charging.

Setting mode

Pressing '+' and '-' simultaneously enters or exits setting mode. Any operation timeout of 8 seconds automatically saves and exits the mode.

Parameter Settings:

P03Speed limit: 0. 20mph, 1. 25mph0

If an error code appears, troubleshooting is recommended.

Attentions:

6. Check before Use

Final Check Before Each Ride:

Adjusting the height of the seat

Loosen the seat clamp lever (OPEN). Adjust the seatpost to a comfortable height, ensuring it is inserted past the minimum insertion point indicated on the post. Close the seatpost clamp lever (LOCK). The seat height should allow for leg extension when the pedal is at its lowest position.

Riding your e-bike

After assembly, turn on the e-bike. Check safety by placing a foot on the pedal before starting. Be aware of motor assistance and battery depletion. Use both brakes for stopping. Braking distance increases in wet conditions. Never ride through deep water or on uneven surfaces. Do not ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Always ride with lights at night. If new to cycling, practice in a quiet area first.
