Installation Instructions
Before Using Your Refrigerator
- Remove exterior and interior packing.
- Let the refrigerator stand upright for approximately 4 hours before connecting to power to reduce the possibility of a cooling system malfunction.
- Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
Location
- This appliance is designed to be free-standing only; do not recess or build-in.
- Allow 5 inches clearance space between the back and sides for proper air ventilation.
Avoid Installation
- On weak surfaces unable to support the refrigerator when fully loaded.
- In direct sunlight or near heat sources (stove, heater, radiator). Ambient temperatures below 50°F or above 85°F will hinder performance.
- In moist areas.
- In a garage. This unit is not designed for outside installation.
- In a moving vehicle. This unit is not designed for RV installation or use with an inverter. It is intended for household use only.
Installing Your Refrigerator
- Adjust the leveling feet to keep the refrigerator level.
- Plug into a dedicated, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong.
- After plugging in, turn the unit on and allow it to cool for 24 hours before placing food inside.
Electrical Connection
WARNING: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized service center.
This refrigerator must be properly grounded for safety. It is equipped with a three-prong plug that mates with standard three-prong wall outlets. Do not remove the third ground prong.
Requires a standard 115/120 Volt A.C. ~/60Hz electrical outlet with three-prong ground.
Not designed for use with an inverter.
Secure the cord behind the refrigerator and do not leave it exposed or dangling.
Never unplug by pulling the power cord; grip the plug firmly and pull straight out.
Do not use an extension cord. If the cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet nearby.

Operating Your Refrigerator
Temperature Control
The temperature control is located inside the refrigerator and freezer compartment. The temperature is factory preset but adjustable for personal satisfaction.
Refrigerator Compartment: Press the SET button on the control panel. A higher number indicates a warmer setting (1 is warmest, 5 is coldest). After adjusting, allow 24 hours for the unit to adjust.
Freezer Compartment: Move the Freezer Control knob towards the maximum setting to make it colder, or minimum setting to make it warmer. After adjusting, allow 24 hours for the unit to adjust.
A diagram shows the temperature control panel with settings 1 through 5.
NOTE
If the unit is unplugged or loses power, wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting. Restarting too soon may prevent the refrigerator from starting.
Replacing the Interior Light
Turn the refrigerator temperature control to “1”, then unplug the electrical cord before replacing the bulb. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock or personal injury. Replace with a bulb of the same wattage and size.
Freezer Compartment Operation
Temperature Control
The freezer compartment has one control for regulating its temperature, located on the interior back panel. For best performance, leave the freezer control at the midpoint and adjust the refrigerator control. Adjust the freezer control one increment at a time until the desired temperature is reached.
A diagram shows the freezer temperature control knob with MIN and MAX settings.
Ice Tray
To make ice, pour cool water into the ice tray and place it in the freezer for two hours. Twist the ice tray to release ice cubes. Setting the temperature control knob to a colder position can shorten ice-making time.
Diagrams show an ice tray being filled and twisted.
NOTE
Do not store canned foods or food stored in glass containers in the freezer compartment.
The Freezer Compartment
This compartment is designed for long-term storage of frozen food. Follow storage time recommendations on food packaging. Place frozen food in the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase.

Cleaning Your Refrigerator
- Disconnect the electrical unit from the wall outlet.
- Clean interior and parts with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking soda solution (2 tablespoons baking soda per quart of water) to clean and neutralize odors. Rinse and wipe dry.
- Keep the door gasket (seal) clean for efficient operation.
- Clean the outside with a warm damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
- Never clean refrigerator parts with flammable fluids, as fumes can create a fire hazard.

- Clean the interior and leave doors open to avoid odor or mold formation. Use extreme caution regarding children's access.
Moving Your Refrigerator
- Disconnect the electrical cord from the wall outlet.
