Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury, follow these basic precautions when using your refrigerator:
- WARNING: Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
- WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting.
- WARNING: Do not damage refrigerant tubing.
- WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside food storage compartments unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- WARNING—DANGER: Never allow children to play with, operate, or crawl inside. Remove doors and leave shelves in place before discarding an old unit to prevent child entrapment.
- The appliance must be unplugged before user maintenance.
- Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced capabilities, can use the appliance under supervision and if they understand the hazards. Children should not play with or perform cleaning/maintenance without supervision.
- Damaged components must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified personnel to avoid hazards.
- Dispose of the refrigerator according to local regulations, as it contains flammable blowing gas and refrigerant.
- Follow local regulations for disposal of appliances containing flammable refrigerant and blowing gas. Federal law requires refrigerant removal before disposal.
- This appliance is intended for household and similar environments (e.g., staff kitchens, hotels, bed and breakfasts, catering).
- Do not store or use gasoline or inflammable liquors nearby.
- Do not use an extension cord. If the cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet. Extension cord use can negatively affect performance.
⚠️ Caution: risk of fire
It is hazardous for anyone other than authorized service personnel to carry out services or repairs involving cover removal. To avoid electrical shock, do not attempt repairs yourself.
Installation Instructions
Before Using Your Refrigerator
- Remove exterior and interior packing.
- Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for approximately 4 hours before connecting to power to reduce the risk of cooling system malfunction.
- Clean the interior with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
Location
- This appliance is designed for free standing only; do not recess or build-in.
- Allow 5 inches clearance at the back and sides for proper air ventilation.
Avoid Installation
- On weak surfaces unable to support the fully loaded refrigerator.
- In direct sunlight or near heat sources (stove, heater, radiator). Ambient temperatures below 50°F or above 85°F will hinder performance.
- In moist areas.
- In garages; not designed for outside installation.
- In moving vehicles; not designed for RVs or use with inverters. Intended for household use only.
Installing Your Refrigerator
- Adjust leveling feet to keep the refrigerator level.
- Plug into a dedicated, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not remove the ground prong.
- After plugging in, turn the unit on and allow it to cool for 24 hours before loading food.
Electrical Connection
⚠️ Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorized service center.
The refrigerator is equipped with a three-prong plug for safety. Do not remove the ground prong. It requires a standard 115/120 Volt A.C. ~/60Hz grounded outlet. It is not designed for use with an inverter.
Secure the cord behind the refrigerator to prevent injury. Never unplug by pulling the cord; grip the plug firmly. Do not use an extension cord.

Operating Your Refrigerator
Temperature Control
The temperature control is located inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It is factory preset but adjustable for personal satisfaction.
To make the refrigerator colder: Press the SET button on the control panel to shift the display light to a higher number (1=warmest, 5=coldest). For the freezer, move the Freezer Control knob towards the maximum setting.
To make the refrigerator warmer: Press the SET button to shift the display light to a lower number. For the freezer, move the Freezer Control knob towards the minimum setting.
Allow 24 hours for the unit to adjust after each control movement. Repeat if necessary.

Freezer Compartment Operation
Note: If the unit is unplugged or loses power, wait 3-5 minutes before restarting to prevent potential start-up issues.
Replacing the Interior Light
Turn the refrigerator temperature control to "1" and unplug the electrical cord before replacing the light bulb. Use a bulb of the same wattage and size.
Temperature Control (Freezer)
The freezer compartment has one control for temperature regulation, located on the interior back panel. For best performance, leave the freezer control at the midpoint and adjust the refrigerator control. Adjust the freezer control one increment at a time until the desired temperature is reached.

Ice Tray
Pour cool water into the ice tray and place it in the freezer for two hours. Twist the tray to release ice cubes. Setting the temperature control knob to a colder position can shorten ice-making time.
Note:
Do not store canned foods or food in glass containers in the freezer compartment.
The Freezer Compartment
This compartment is for long-term frozen food storage. Adhere to recommended storage times. Place frozen food in the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase and follow any packet instructions.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning Your Refrigerator
- Disconnect the electrical unit from the wall outlet.
- Clean interior and parts with a cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking soda solution (2 tablespoons baking soda per quart of water) to clean and neutralize odors. Rinse and wipe dry.
- Keep the door gasket (seal) clean for efficient operation.
- Clean the exterior with a warm damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners.
- Never clean parts with flammable fluids due to fire hazard from fumes.
Vacation Time
- For long vacations, remove all food and unplug the unit.
- Clean the interior and leave doors open to prevent odor or mold.
- Use extreme caution regarding children; the unit should not be accessible for play.
Moving Your Refrigerator
- Disconnect the electrical cord.
- Remove all food and securely tape down loose items (shelves, drawers, doors).
- Ensure the refrigerator remains upright during transportation.
Energy Saving Tips
- Locate the refrigerator in the coolest area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Allow hot foods to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
- Wrap foods properly and wipe containers dry to reduce frost build-up.
- Organize food to minimize door openings and search times.
Changing the Reversible Door
Ensure the appliance is unplugged and empty before reversing the door swing. Provide support for doors during hinge removal. Do not rely on door magnets. Two people are recommended for this task. Do not lay the appliance flat, as this may damage the coolant system.

Steps:
Step 1: Remove Top Hinge
Remove the top hinge cover. Unscrew and remove the top hinge and top hinge washer. Reserve the screws.
Step 2: Remove Freezer Door
Lift the freezer door up and away from the appliance.
Step 3: Remove Middle Hinge
Unscrew and remove the middle hinge and middle hinge washer. Reserve the screws. Lift the refrigerator door up and away from the appliance.
Step 4: Attach Bottom Left Hinge
Unscrew and remove the bottom right hinge. Reserve the screws. Remove screw covers from the opposite corner (left) and cover exposed holes (right). Attach the bottom left hinge with the reserved screws.
Step 5: Attach Pin Assemblies
Remove right pin assemblies from the bottom of the freezer and refrigerator doors. On the opposite side, attach the replacement pin assemblies (found in the plastic bag with the Use and Care Manual) with a screwdriver. Reuse the screws from the removed pin assemblies.
Step 6: Attach Refrigerator Door
Place the refrigerator door on the bottom left hinge, ensuring it is aligned horizontally and vertically. Attach the middle hinge to the top (left) of the refrigerator door, including the washer. Align with holes and affix to the middle beam with reserved screws. Fasten with a screwdriver (not included).
Step 7: Attach Freezer Door
Place the freezer door on the middle hinge. Ensure it is aligned horizontally and vertically, and that the gasket seals on all sides before attaching the top hinge. Attach the top hinge and replace the hinge cover.
Troubleshooting Guide

Refrigerator Warranty
MC Appliance Corporation warrants each new refrigerator against defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase (parts and labor). The compressor is warranted for five years (parts only). Consumers are responsible for labor and transportation expenses for compressor service after the first year. A dated sales receipt/invoice is required for warranty service.
This warranty covers appliances in the continental United States, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. It does not cover:
- Damages from shipping, improper installation, misuse, or abuse.
- Content losses due to unit failure.
- Inside components (door panels, shelves, racks, bulbs, etc.).
- Evaporator system punctures from improper defrosting.
- Repairs by unauthorized service agents.
- Service calls not involving defects (e.g., instruction on use, door reversal).
- Replacement of house fuses or circuit breakers.
- Failure if used for non-intended purposes.
- Disposal costs for units not returned to the factory.
- Delivery costs for units failing to perform as specified.
- Travel/transportation expenses for service in remote areas.
- Removal/reinstallation if appliance is in an inaccessible location or not installed per instructions.
Liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund. If replacement or repair is not possible, liability is limited to the actual purchase price. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
No representative is authorized to assume other liability. Do not return the unit to the factory without prior written consent from MC Appliance Corporation.
