NuPhy Halo96 V2 Quick Guide
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using your NuPhy Halo96 V2 keyboard.
01. System Selection
Choose your operating system:
- Win mode
- Mac mode
02. Connection Mode Selection
Select your preferred connection method:
- Power Off
- Wired mode: Requires a data cable to connect.
- Wireless mode: For wireless connectivity.
03. Wireless Device Connection
Pair your devices via Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz:
Use FN + 1/2/3/4 to switch between Bluetooth 1, Bluetooth 2, Bluetooth 3, and 2.4Ghz connections.
Long press for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Short press to switch between devices.
For 2.4Ghz connection, plug the receiver into your computer first.
RGB Light Bar Status Guide
Understand the status indicators:
- Power/Battery:
- 81%~100%: Green
- 51%~80%: Yellow
- 21%~50%: Orange
- 0%~20%: Red
- Caps Lock: Indicates if Caps Lock is active.
- Connection Mode:
- Wired mode
- Win mode
- Mac mode
- Bluetooth mode
- 2.4G mode
04. Backlight Settings
Customize your keyboard's backlight:
- FN + Backlight effect switching: Cycle through backlight effects.
- FN + >: Cycle through backlight colors.
- FN + ^: Increase backlight brightness.
- FN + v: Decrease backlight brightness.
- FN + <: Decrease backlight speed.
- FN + >: Increase backlight speed.
05. Auxiliary Lights Settings
Adjust the auxiliary lights:
- FN + M + <: Cycle through auxiliary light effects.
- FN + M + >: Cycle through auxiliary light colors.
- FN + M + ^: Increase auxiliary light brightness.
- FN + M + v: Decrease auxiliary light brightness.
- FN + M + <: Decrease auxiliary light speed.
- FN + M + >: Increase auxiliary light speed.
- FN + M + ?: Cycle through auxiliary light groups.
06. Sleep Mode Setting
Manage power saving settings:
- FN + }: Turn Sleep mode ON or OFF.
If the keyboard is inactive for 6 minutes, it will automatically turn off the lights and enter sleep mode to conserve battery. It is recommended to enable sleep mode for longer battery life.
07. Battery Indicator
Check your battery status:
- FN + 1: Enable or disable the permanent battery level display.
08. Factory Reset
Restore the keyboard to its default settings:
- FN + {: Long press for 3 seconds to restore factory settings.
09. Screenshot Shortcut
Capture your screen easily:
- Mac:
- FN + (mac): Take a partial screenshot.
- FN + (mac): Take a full-screen screenshot.
- Windows:
- (win): Open the Snipping Tool to take a screenshot.
- FN + (win): Use the keyboard shortcut for Print Screen.
VIA Keymap Configurator
This keyboard is compatible with VIA, a third-party open source software for configuring keymaps, light effects, and macros.
Download the latest version of VIA from nuphy.com/pages/console.
If VIA does not detect your keyboard in wired mode, please contact NuPhy technical support.
