The iHome Waterproof Mountable Outdoor Bluetooth® Speakers offer the ultimate solution for outdoor audio needs. With an IP44 waterproof rating, they are designed to withstand water and dust, making them safe for outdoor elements. Adjustable mounting brackets ensure easy installation and optimal sound dispersion. The iHSI Series speakers pair easily with your Bluetooth device, and a wireless remote provides convenient control.

The iHSI Series speakers are available in Black and White, with different models offering varying audio output and dimensions.

Installation and Mounting

These indoor/outdoor weatherproof speakers are manufactured to resist various weather conditions, including snow, rain, and sun, but should not be submerged under water. For durability, it is recommended to store speakers indoors during extreme temperatures (below 0°F and above 120°F). The most ideal placement is under overhangs for maximum protection. For optimal sound, place speakers no more than eight feet apart and slightly higher than ear level. Position the powered speaker near the power source, and the passive speaker can be placed further away, connected by the included wire.

Mounting Instructions: To install the bracket on the speaker, screw the bracket knobs into the cabinet. Point the speaker towards the listening area and tighten the bracket knobs securely. When possible, tilt the speakers down to increase longevity and protect them from weather elements.

Wiring: Ensure correct polarity when connecting speakers. Attach the wire to the Red / Positive (+) terminal on one component to the Red / Positive (+) terminal on the corresponding component speaker terminal. Similarly, connect the Black / Negative / Ground (-) terminals to their respective counterparts. The included speaker wire has (+) and (-) labels for easy identification. If a longer wire run is needed, use 16-gauge weatherproof wire up to 50 feet.

Operation and Setup

Initial Setup:

• Turn on your Bluetooth device.
• Open the Bluetooth settings on your device.
• Select the appropriate iHome Bluetooth ID for connection (e.g., "iHome IHSI-400BT"). You will hear a voice prompt confirmation.
• You can now play audio from your paired device.
• Control volume via your Bluetooth device or the remote.

For subsequent pairings, Bluetooth will connect automatically when your device is nearby with Bluetooth turned ON. To connect another device, turn Bluetooth OFF on your original device.

Standby Mode: After 10 minutes with no audio signal, the speaker will automatically enter standby mode. Press the power button on the remote to turn it back on. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last device in memory.

Remote Control: The included wireless remote allows you to Power on/off, Pair/disconnect Bluetooth, adjust Volume (+/-), control Playback (Play/Pause, Forward/Next Track, Back/Previous Track), Mute, adjust Treble (+/-), Bass (+/-), and set EQ to Flat.

Voice Prompts: The speakers provide voice prompts for "Power On", "Connected", and "Disconnected".

Safety and Legal Information

Precautions: Please read these instructions carefully. This set is designed for personal safety. Improper use can result in electric shock or fire hazard. Observe the following procedures for installation, use, and servicing.

Warnings (Fire and Electric Shock Hazard):

• Do not place open flame sources (e.g., lighted candles) near the apparatus.
• Do not attempt to service the apparatus yourself. Opening covers may expose you to dangerous voltages and void the warranty.
• Avoid overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or receptacles to prevent fire or electric shock.
• Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms.
• Never insert objects into the openings of the apparatus, as this may touch dangerous voltage points or cause short circuits. Ensure objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the apparatus.

Legality & Safety:

• The device is not intended for use by individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacity unless supervised. Children should be monitored.
• The device should not be exposed to water and no liquids should be placed on it. Ensure a minimum distance of 10 cm around the unit for ventilation.
• Open flame sources should not be placed on the device. Use only in a temperate climate.
• Prolonged listening at full volume may damage hearing. Listening at high volume is not recommended.
• Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly or with the wrong type. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Do not mix battery types. Batteries must be installed with correct polarity and disposed of safely. Battery replacement is for authorized personnel only.
• Switch off the device where its use is not allowed or where it may cause interference or danger (e.g., aircraft, near medical equipment, fuel, chemicals, or blasting sites). Do not handle the device while driving.
• All wireless devices are susceptible to interference. These devices conform to international/national standards and regulations regarding electromagnetic fields. Scientific research indicates no adverse health effects when used as directed.
• Only qualified personnel are authorized to install or repair this product. Use only compatible batteries, chargers, and accessories.
• This equipment is NOT waterproof. Keep it dry. Keep the device in a safe place, out of reach of young children, as it contains small parts that may present a choking hazard.

FCC Compliance Statement:

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device. It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used correctly, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Warranty and Repair

Innovative Concepts & Design LLC products are designed and manufactured to high standards. With proper care, your product will provide years of reliable service.

Limited Warranty:

• Innovative Concepts & Design LLC guarantees products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date. Exceptions: Laser assemblies, cartridges, and crossfaders are covered for 90 days.
• This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by abuse, misuse, abnormal use, faulty installation, improper maintenance, or unauthorized repairs.
• There are no obligations for consequential damages arising from the product's use or performance. Implied warranties are limited to one (1) year, unless mandated by local statutes.

Return/Repair Process:

• In the U.S.A., call Customer Service at (732) 346-0061 to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) and the address of an authorized service center.
• Include a copy of the original sales receipt and a description of the defect with the defective product. Send by insured freight to the address provided by customer service. The RA# must be written on the outside of the package.
• For warranty service, Innovative Concepts & Design LLC will pay for the repair and return shipping within the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada, Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands will be charged for freight.
• For non-warrantied products, repairs will be made after payment is received. Repair charges do not include return freight.
• Allow 2-3 weeks for product return. The product will spend a maximum of 10 working days at Innovative Concepts & Design LLC. Shipping times are not guaranteed.
