Welcome to the Laney LF-SUPERTOP, a professional, two-channel, all-analogue 120-watt guitar amplifier head designed to deliver powerful and distinctive presence for studio and live performances.

Front Panel Controls
The front panel features:
- Input Jack: 6.3mm jack socket for your guitar's audio signal input.
- BOOST CONTROL: Pre-amp boost control with on/off switch. The LED indicates when the boost is active. Can also be controlled via the remote socket and footswitch.
- CHANNEL 1 + 2 CONTROL:
- CHANNEL 1 SETTINGS: CLEAN VOLUME - Adjusts the overall level for Channel 1.
- TONE SWITCH: Controls the frequency response of Channel 1. Options are HELL (up) for extended highs and slight bass reduction, or OFF (down) for no change.
- CHANNEL SELECT: A toggle switch to select the active channel (Up for CH2, Down for CH1). Can also be remotely switched via footswitch.
- CHANNEL 2 SETTINGS: LEAD GAIN - Adjusts the preamp gain for Channel 2, adding distortion.
- LEAD VOLUME: Adjusts the overall level for Channel 2.
- TONE SWITCH: Controls the frequency response of Channel 2. Options are HELL (up) for extended highs, OFF (middle) for no change, and DARK (down) for increased lows and warmth, reducing high frequencies.
- EQ TONE STACK: A 3-band EQ for Bass, Middle, and Treble, with a Tone control for optimizing high-frequency response.
- REVERB: Built-in studio-quality spring reverb based on the Secret Path pedal. Adjust the reverb level with the control. Can be activated/deactivated via footswitch.
- EFFECTS CONTROL: Select between BCC Vintage Tremolo and BCC Spiral Chorus/Modulation effects. Adjust Rate and Depth for the selected effect. LEDs indicate when an effect is active. Remote footswitch control is also available.
Rear Panel Connections
The rear panel includes:
- ON/OFF SWITCH: Main power switch for the unit.
- SOCKET: IEC C14 socket for universal power connection (100-240V~50/60Hz).
- LOUDSPEAKER JACKS: Connect your speaker cabinet. Recommended Laney LF212 or LF412. Two jacks allow for simultaneous connection of multiple cabinets. Supports single 4, 8, or 16 Ohm cabinets, or multiple cabinets with a total impedance of 4 Ohms or more.
- AMP POWER CONTROL: Switches the amplifier's output between full power and <1W for quiet playing.
- REMOTE FOOTSWITCH SOCKETS: Two footswitch sockets for controlling Reverb, Effects, Boost, and Channel selection. The left socket controls Reverb and Effects, while the right controls Boost and Channel. Laney FS2-MINI footswitches are recommended.
- FX LOOP: FX Return and Send for connecting effect pedals. FX Send can also be used as a standard line-level output.
- AUX IN + HEADPHONE OUT: 3.5mm AUX input for playback tracks and a 3.5mm headphone output for silent practice. The headphone output mutes the internal speaker.
- DI OUT: Balanced XLR DI output with LA-IR function. Allows selection between no LA-IR or emulated cabinet IRs from Laney's GS112 and GS412 cabinets. Includes a Ground Lift switch.
Connections
Speaker Connection: Connect your guitar to the input jack using a 6.3mm cable.
FX Loop: Connect your effect pedalboard's input and output to the FX Send/Return sockets.
DI Output Usage: The high-quality, speaker-emulated DI output with pre-installed IRs can be connected to any balanced/unbalanced line-level input device, such as a PA or a DAW audio interface. Disable cabinet emulation if you wish to use your own.
Aux In and Headphone Out: Connect your playback track via the 3.5mm AUX input from a media player. Alternatively, connect headphones to the 3.5mm headphone output for silent practice. The headphone output also includes cabinet emulation.
Footswitch Connections: The remote sockets on the LF-SUPERTOP can be connected to two FS2 Minis (not supplied) for remote control of reverb, effects selection, boost, and channel switching.

- CLEAN: Settings for a clean, bright tone.
- CLEAN PUSHED: Settings for a slightly overdriven clean tone.
- DRIVE: Settings for a classic rock overdrive tone.
- RHYTHM: Settings for a versatile rhythm tone.
- FULL ON: Settings for maximum gain and sustain.
